We are now realising the benefits of a CS.

This review is for Eastbridge Farm Campsite

We are now realising the benefits of a CS. Whilst touring the Suffolk coast and being disappointed with stay at Kessingland club site, we decided on Eastbridge Farm CS. Only our second stay at a CS after several years camping and really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area, even the Tawny Owls during the night. The owners seemed friendly and laid back and left us to it. Its a typical farmers field with basic facilities. but if you can manage, what more do you need? There's a good, and very busy [for such an isolated area] pub nearby. The RSPB Minsmere is within walking distance, and well worth a visit at this time of year if only to see the Marsh Harriers. We walked from the site to the coastal path and onto Dunwich Heath before returning through some lovely woodland back to the site. About 5 miles of easy walking and a picnic on the beach took us [pensioners] 4 to 5 hours. We only stayed 2 nights but we'll be back when in the area. There is about a mile of single track road to reach the farm but with plenty of passing places, and well worth it.

A lovely natural site, close to the Eels Foot Inn which has great food and real ales. lots of beautiful walks to the sea and the bird reserve at Minsmere. We have used this site many times over the past few years and its always a peaceful and relaxing experience. Very basic facilities but a grat place for a campfire.

This is what camping is about.

This is what camping is about. Two toilets, a chemical toilet point, and a tap, in a field, on a farm. Steve and Rosie are ace people and proper Suffolk farmers who like a laugh. Brilliant pub with proper beer nearby, loads of walks woodlands and a massive bird reserve next door. The sea is a twenty minute walk across fields. Regular groups who like real camping, friendly and fun. Great for kids. Go there, and you'll go again
