Just a lovely site, lots of nature to watch, walks beside the campsite.

Just a lovely site, lots of nature to watch, walks beside the campsite. Loved the dog walking area and the warm shower area for dogs. Peaceful, friendly, great food locally in the pub and sold in the on-site shop. I will be back when next in this area, what a gem of a campsite

This has to be one of the friendliest clean sites we have been to.

This has to be one of the friendliest clean sites we have been to. we were pitched on grass with EHU because tv reception was poor they supplied free coaxial cables to which hook up on the same post as EHU! The 3 free wifi networks were very hit or miss but to be honest was glad. The toilet,wash/shower room facilites were kept really clean. have never been anywhere, in our short camping experiance, where, next to the elson point was a sink with hot water, soap & paper towels. The owners live in a working water mill, not grinding now, & were pleased to show the workings & stones (in their lounge) for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning. There is an information room where there were files on local walks. The "local" The Badgers Holt did a small but excellent menu & was a free house but the opening hours took some getting used to. Another nice touch, it was world cup final week, on a banner over the entrance they hung flags of the competing countries.

Absolutely Perfect. A Jewel.

This review is for Exe Valley Caravan Site

Absolutely Perfect. A Jewel. Brilliant Site A gem of an adult only site situated between the river and the mill stream. Large grass pitches either side of the driveway with the river on one side and the stream on the other makes this an idyllic site. The driveway runs the length of the site and takes you to the lovely dog walk again with the river on one side and the mill stream on the other, this takes you up to the weir. The grass pitches are big and if available you can choose which side you'd prefer, there are also some hard standing pitches at the dog walk end of the site. Pitches have access to electricity, TV point and fresh water but a long cable is required on some of the pitches. i.e. 25 meters. There is also a service point for water and grey waste ideal for motor homes. The toilet and shower blocks are next to the entrance and are always clean. The showers are great with proper controls not the push button timer type. There is a clever dog wash as well. There is a reception and a little shop that provides the basics and all you'll need for a cream tea. It also stocks some camping supplies. There is also an information hut which is very useful with menus for the local pubs, local walk maps and bus times, the local bus is very handy, 15 mins into Dulverton for the local supermarket. The site is fantastic and always clean and the reason for this is Debbie and Steve the wardens they are great and nothing is too much trouble, even greeting with a coffee on arrival. They are seen all day going about their work and are always up for a chat and help in anyway they can. This is a perfect site in a lovely location and with Debbie and Steve on hand this makes for a great peaceful stay. We will definitely be returning, in fact we have already booked
