Excellent site with good facilities but we will not be returning.

Excellent site with good facilities but we will not be returning. The facilities are excellent and well maintained. Good size pitches separated by small trees and bushes, and showers big enough to swing your towel. We were disappointed by staff, who were brusque when we arrived and then wanted us to park our car on the hardstanding instead of the grass, which meant that when in our caravan we were looking at the side of our car instead of across the pleasant site. The free ranging chickens and geese could be charming or a health hazard, as evidence of their presence is speckled all over the grass, roads and hardstandings The noise from the local roads, railway and airport was a long way above our tolerance levels. Others may not be bothered as much as us. Drivers on the site obviously don't know where the 5mph mark is on their speedometers.

We chose well here. Dry site with hard standings. Warm shower block with plenty of hot water. A warm welcome from the owner. Good clean dog walk. in short well worth a visit. We visited Pitt Rivers Museum Oxford. Accessed by entry through the Natural History Museum. Also Hughenden Manor High Wycombe. It was not really the weather for any walking in the countryside.

Had a weekend here but will fully recommend a longer stay.

This review is for Greenhill Leisure Park

Had a weekend here but will fully recommend a longer stay. New facilities with luxury rather than quantity a theme here, with walk in showers bigger than some tents, flag stone floors, large washing up sinks and family/disabled room for the shower block. Well sign posted and wide entrance leading to long driveway recently tarmaced and landscaped. Reception is also the shop which sells most things you need camping with the family as well as fresh farm foods. Games room with free access to fridges and freezers for recharging freezer packs. There is also displays showing local attractions and maps of the area. The pitch is slightly sloping but the fields are well drained but very hard when the sun dries them out so need a mallet for pegs. This campsite is a small farm with pigs, sheep, ducks and cattle so there is occasional farmyard smells around the barn area. There is a footpath for the site down to the canal which can get muddy when wet but we saw people dragging their kayaks down there so it is very accessible. Noise isnt much of a problem with kids being the main source from the small play area/ large open grass area. There is also some noise from the airfield and the train line but these are occasional and not during the night. Kindlington has a big sainsbury's so stocking up isn't a problem. All in all well recommended

New rig, so we really appreciated the staff who were brilliant and gave us useful tips and help setting up for the first time. A really pretty spot to have a site. Lots for children to do. Excellant dog walking area. Lovely and peaceful when we were there. Facilities kept spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't have done more to make our stay happy and memorable. Would recommend this site to anyone.
