Enjoy nature walks, cycle trails and the Peak District from this site.

Our award-winning Club campsite at Teversal is surrounded by gloriously varied walking country. Opposite, the Silverhill Wood Country Park offers direct access to the Teversal Trails and miles of walking and cycling paths. Further afield the walking and cycling trails of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District offer more challenges through ever changing scenery.

There are a range of Boardman bikes available for hire on site so you can explore the local area during your stay. Hire costs are from as little as £6 per hour or £15 per day. Bookings can be made directly with the site, which is advisable during the peak periods.

Teversal is an established campsite. Hedges and greenery pepper the site which boasts fantastic amenities: auto sensor power showers, individual washrooms with shower, toilet and sink, parent and child facilities, a well-equipped laundry and washing up area and children’s play area. The shop is well stocked and morning papers are available. There’s even a dog/bike shower.

If you can tear yourself away from the campsite, there are numerous attractions close by. The National Trust’s Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House and Gardens are within easy reach as is Bolsover Castle and Newstead Abbey, the former home of the poet Lord Byron.

Water lovers are catered for at the National Watersports Centre which offers white water rafting, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing and more. Families will love Water Meadows Family Fun pool with slides and wave machine situated in Mansfield.

The first and most important mistake we made was not reading the reviews before booking here.

This review is for Teversal

The first and most important mistake we made was not reading the reviews before booking here. If we had, we would never have come here. In writing this review, we hope to save another member the heartache that we have suffered. The staff are very rude, do not listen and contradict each other every time they speak. We are the customers and that only applies for the money that we pay. Once payment is made all vestiges of customer service disappear and it becomes a case of "couldn't be bothered". The franchisee came to attempt to placate us and only made it worse. When questioned about why space was such an issue when there were over 30 vacant pitches in the middle of high season he replied that they had all gone to the coast. It was more likely that others did not make our mistake and read the reviews before booking. If this was the last campsite in the UK, I would rather sell the caravan and take a course in how to sleep in the hedgerows than come here again.

No surprise here for the high ratings, a superb team running a superb site.

No surprise here for the high ratings, a superb team running a superb site. The only one I have visited which lives up to the "Friendly Club" branding. Excellent for dog walking and the local (The Carnarvon) serve a great pint and great food. For a snack break or breakfast go to the Teversal Trails Visitor Centre, tea and bacon roll 1.80, amazing and both within 0.5ml.

nice friendly welcome, campsite facilities were spotless. Only "downside" were the "en mass" large party who only quietened down at 12.30! Please remember the club rules of silence between 11pm and 7am! Hope to return but not to pitch near the tents!!!!!!!

I stayed here one night so I could visit the Tramway Museum at Crich.

This review is for Teversal

I stayed here one night so I could visit the Tramway Museum at Crich. It is such a lovely site that I do intend to come back and spend some time in the area. Take care with Satnavs as there are some very narrow roads in the area. One of the best facilities block I have seen. Site managers were very welcoming and helpful.

“Luxury with a capital L. We were lucky to get a late booking which I am sure is only because word has not go out yet. Judging by the attention they were drawing from other campers it will soon! Thanks to Jayne and Chris for a wonderful weekend.”
