In the Northumberland National Park, perfect for outdoor activities and great days out.
Located in the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland International Dark Sky Park – considered to be the most tranquil place in the UK – our Bellingham Club campsite will appeal to campers looking for a relaxing break as well as those seeking adventure.
This is a level, well maintained 70 pitch campsite with modern facilities including a shop, short dog walk, children’s play area, warm indoor social space, kitchen, drying room, family wet room and games room.
There are numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the site. Walk to the busy village of Bellingham (20 mins) and then to the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall through ancient woodland. Enjoy a walk along the North Tyne riverbank, fish for salmon, cycle the quiet lanes to Greenhaugh village, or spend the day in Kielder Water and Forest Park, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake (25 mins drive). At Kielder, there are many cycle trails, fishing and watersports. As befits an International Dark Sky Park, the area has exceptionally low light pollution and offers breathtaking night skies. A visit to the Kielder Observatory takes you closer to the stars.
History lovers will enjoy Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the remarkable National Trust properties of Cragside and Wallington.
