This is an ideal place for a peaceful break.

This review is for Ty-Canol Farm

This is an ideal place for a peaceful break. A family run site in a working farm who caravan themselves so know what people want. The welcome couldnt have been friendlier. The Camping field is well maintained and has plenty of room between pitches, numerous picnic tables and plenty of room for children to play safely under watchful eye. Toilets are in an old container, basic but very clean , what more could you want! We like this type of site, basic but well maintained so were very happy.

From our home on Gower just 40 mins. Lovely quiet, rustic CS site for a couple of days with friends. Good uncrowded touring base. We stopped for a couple of days with our caravan. This site is the usual CS with clean and functional facilities (if quirky for some). If you want all mod cons and glamping go to the busy expensive sites. Extensive views and lots of bird song. The last 100 yards drive in, up a hill, with houses on both side might intimidate drivers of big units, but stick with it and take it easy. Location is good for exploring with quick easy access to A465 and M4. Less than an hour to Cardiff and half hour to Swansea (traffic dependent). Neath Abbey ruins within easy walking distance as is Tesco and local shops. Friendly owners who will advice on visitor ideas. This is a working farm, so expect a bit of mud and country smells. You are aware of distant traffic hum, but this was drowned out by many charms of Goldfinches and other bird song. A good site for rallies and meets where units carry their own facilities. There is plenty of space for such get-to-gethers. Give it a try.

We stayed here for one night with our 2 grandchildren, having spent the day at the coast. We were shown to the upper farm yard, where the electric hook-up was on the end of a container. There was one toilet in another steel container, with no light or washbasin. The shower room was at the end of a barn. The yard was strewn with farm machinery, logs and hay bales. The proper camping field was blocked off by a huge farm trailer. As we arrived late afternoon, we had no other option but to stay there. We weren't told when we booked that the field was shut. It was a very depressing place to stay and the children could not play out because of the farm machinery. We did not feel welcome, especially when a tractor arrived at 8 a.m. to move an excavator bucket from behind our motorhome. For this we paid 21 (the same price as for the camping field?). If you want to stay here, suggest that you check that the field and other facilities are available.
