Overview

A great campsite to explore Canterbury, with a bus stop outside the site entrance.

City, coast and countryside – you can take your pick if you’re basing yourself at our Canterbury Club campsite. Although a popular stopover for those travelling to or from France, this campsite offers the ideal base for exploring Kent’s coast and country.

The campsite lies a couple of miles south of the city – within walking distance. The not so energetic can catch a bus from outside the campsite. The well laid out campsite offers a mix of level grass and hardstand pitches. There are newly refurbished toilet and shower facilities, a washing up area, children’s play area and good dog walking.

Off site Canterbury is a city packed with history, heritage and culture. It has a stunning cathedral and the ruins of St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church and castle. It also has an eclectic mix of specialist shops, independent retailers, bars and restaurants.

Head to the coast for Whitstable with its trendy harbour and July Oyster Festival. The more traditional Herne-Bay has two miles of seafront adorned with colourful beach huts and a pier. The quaint Victorian town of Broadstairs with its Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides is a contrast to the more cosmopolitan habour side Ramsgate noted for its pavement cafes and waterside bars.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

As with all bigger sites more people. It is packed in but its clean and staff are helpful. You are walking distance to town and a cycle ride or walk to some of Kents fine countryside and villages. Only 6 for the cab back from Canterbury after some good food and a beer or 2. Wife and daughter loved the shopping, dad and son loved the camping and pub. Check out the canoeing local. Fab. Good location for a bit of everything

Stopped here last November and it was the first of the Club Sites to change our opinion and bring us back to trying them. Previously found Club Site to stuffy and over regulated making for an unwelcome and unfriendly feel. Could not have had a nicer welcome here and enjoyed our time and walk into the city! Will definitely use this again when in this corner of the U.K. or headed to the Chunnel!

Very friendly, clean site, great dog walk Down the side of the golf driving range opposite the site. The site has nice clean shower blocks with fresh flowers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Canterbury has some lovely shops, we also visited the cathedral, an amazing building. We would definitely recommend and will visit again. Thanks again to all the staff for making this a great place to stay.

This was our first time in a camper van and also camping.

This review is for Canterbury

This was our first time in a camper van and also camping. The site was easy to find just outside Canterbury which was within walking distance or a bus stop right outside. The staff were excellent. Really warm and helpful. The site was immaculate. I was very impressed by camp facilities. Everything clean and well thought out. Easy reach of coast, Dover and Canterbury. Very peaceful at night time. We had a great time.
