Camping on the Isle of Wight – perfect for relaxing on this tiny island, just a short ferry trip from the England’s south coast.

You’ll find our Adgestone Club campsite in a quiet countryside setting on the beautiful Isle of Wight close to the popular Sandown resort.

Although a large site – 270 pitches – the site is very well laid out with some secluded pitches and is orientated towards families. Adgestone is the only Club Site with a swimming pool (which will be open and heated from June 1st until the first week in September) and a children’s paddling pool. In addition to the usual toilet/shower facilities, the site also boasts two children’s play areas – one for younger campers and another more extensive area for older children as well as table tennis, boules, outdoor chess and giant jenga. There’s also a shop and takeaway on site and a private fishing pool stocked with carp.

There numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the campsite. Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with the seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Cowes and Ryde all close by. For days out Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin Chine, the Needles and Blackgang Chine shouldn’t be missed.

Adgestone Vineyard, overlooking Brading Down – itself worth exploring for its spectacular views across Culver Down and Sandown Bay - offers tours of its wine cellars and tastings. Its café serves excellent cream teas too.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Wightlink Ferries offer great discounts to all Club members. There are also discounts available to non-members when booking a stay at our Adgestone campsite

Nice site, good size pitch, pool was good for kids but could do with more seating or some loungers, facilities were clean but could do with a refurbishment, takeaway was useful but service was a bit erratic on the day we used it. You can stroll down to Sandown seafront in about 30mins. Had rain on last night and pitch drained well.

What a gorgeous site! Lovely staff, so helpful. A well kept site. Our kids made great friends they played out late with, adored the pool and the friendly ducks who visited our tent daily for food! There are quiet fields and family (louder) fields. Clean toilets and showers which are powerful and hot. Great washing machines, tumble driers and washing up facilities. Lovely beaches and towns nearby. A Tesco express only 5 mins drive in Lake or a Morrisons a few mins further. I've already booked for next year. The site is one of the best I've stayed on.

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this site, John, Chris and their Assistants made us most welcome and worked tirelessly keeping the site in tip top condition, not an easy task as the Facilities are showing their age and are in need of upgrading. Having said this they were always clean and tidy,( and so were the Toilets !! ) a true testament to the dedication of a fine Site Team. We had a great laugh with all the Site Staff who had a ready answer to my made up complaints. We are thinking of going back next year and recommend Adgeston to other Members, who, we are sure, would enjoy their stay as much as Linda and I. The site is fairly level and we had no bother finding a suitable pitch for our tent which we initially pitched too close to the one next to us, not a problem because one of the Site Staff ( I'm sorry I forget your Name ) helped us to move it. We should have known better, sorry. ! This goes to prove that the CCC rules on separation of units are rigidly enforced, this is a good thing as it keeps us all safe. All in all My Wife Linda and myself are most grateful to the Adgeston Team for all your hard work and dedication, we hope to see you next year. Best wishes, kind regards, Allen and Linda Vowles.
