Camping on the Isle of Wight – perfect for relaxing on this tiny island, just a short ferry trip from the England’s south coast.

You’ll find our Adgestone Club campsite in a quiet countryside setting on the beautiful Isle of Wight close to the popular Sandown resort.

Although a large site – 270 pitches – the site is very well laid out with some secluded pitches and is orientated towards families. Adgestone is the only Club Site with a swimming pool (which will be open and heated from June 1st until the first week in September) and a children’s paddling pool. In addition to the usual toilet/shower facilities, the site also boasts two children’s play areas – one for younger campers and another more extensive area for older children as well as table tennis, boules, outdoor chess and giant jenga. There’s also a shop and takeaway on site and a private fishing pool stocked with carp.

There numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the campsite. Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with the seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Cowes and Ryde all close by. For days out Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin Chine, the Needles and Blackgang Chine shouldn’t be missed.

Adgestone Vineyard, overlooking Brading Down – itself worth exploring for its spectacular views across Culver Down and Sandown Bay - offers tours of its wine cellars and tastings. Its café serves excellent cream teas too.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Wightlink Ferries offer great discounts to all Club members. There are also discounts available to non-members when booking a stay at our Adgestone campsite

Our first time with the Camping and Caravanning Club, and we were very impressed with the site at Adgestone. The whole site was beautifully kept and quite immaculate. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. We were taken around the site by Paul to find a pitch that we liked, and were very pleasantly surprised that when we began erecting our tent Paul and Julie came and kindly offered to help us erect it, for which we were very grateful. They were unaware that I was recovering from major surgery. All the staff were most helpful and extremely friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The site manager was also on hand to help with any queries. There were lots of nice touches, flowers in the toilet facilities etc, and even fresh herbs growing for you to make use of. There were outdoor games to play such as chess, boules, etc. TV reception was excellent, even with an indoor aerial. We didn't try the pool as we didn't bring our swimsuits, but will next time... The shop was adequately stocked and the lady in charge was very helpful, and managed to produce some really good glue to fix my airbed! We have camped in quite a few campsites over the years but can honestly say this one is the best. Thanks again for a lovely break!

Stayed there with friends, there were 3 caravans, 1 camper van & 1 motorhome in our party & they pitched us all together, site was spotless, fabulous swimming pool on site, cafe, take away, & small shop. Games on site to keep the old & young amused, as well as 2 play areas for the kids. Staff where out of this world, so friendly, polite, & always a smile on their face. The site is a bit out of the way with some narrow roads leading to it, but with so many attractions on the island, all within a short drive, well worth a visit.

Trip to the needles takes 50 minutes very easy drive a good place to go for families and couples. Shanklin Chine is a very good place to visit if you enjoy plants and wild life. Very interesting walk with good views. There is a lot of information about the chine to take in and a caf that do beautiful cream teas. Arreton Barns is around 15 minutes from the camp cite this was my favourite place to eat. The food in the pub was outstanding the parking was free and with all the other shops and entertament made this a good place for all ages
