  • 10 minute walk to Inverewe Gardens

The surrounding area

Our Inverewe Gardens Club campsite shares its name with the world-famous tropical Inverewe Gardens created by Osgood Mackenzie in 1862. This lush oasis perches on a peninsula at the edge of Loch Ewe surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of conservation estate.

There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed from site or cycle to Inveradale around the Loch. Further north Rubha nan Sasan, beyond Cove is home to a range of WWII command posts and gun emplacements which helped guard the entrance to Loch Ewe during the war.

Nearby Gairloch has a heritage Museum and Marine Life Centre offering daily cruises to survey dolphins, whales and seals.

Whilst doing the North 500, popped in for 1 night. Site manager was so friendly and welcoming. He showed me all round the facilities and to our pitch. Pitch itself was brilliant as had a stunning view over the water. Showers could do with an upgrade but that's my only criticism.

We stayed here as part of a tour of north Scotland. The site was so beautiful and the warden, David so pleasant and helpful we stayed two nights. Dinner at the Poolewe Hotel was very good but you do need to let them know your coming as they are very busy. Inverewe gardens are well worth a visit and could take an entire day although we only had a couple of hours. There are several circular walks from near the site and the view from our pitch over the loch was gorgeous. In additon there is a local shop, so basically everything we needed for a great couple of days. I cannot praise the warden highly enough as he was managing the entire site single handedly and with good grace and humour. He made our stay so much more enjoyable

We only stayed here for one night while touring Scotland but Wow!, what a Stunning location! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the site was immaculate. Great location to explore or just relax. Toilets and Shower blocks are tired and could do with upgrading, however they were clean and useable! Well worth booking!
