It is difficult to add a great deal to the previous few reviews except to say that this is possibly the best site that we have ever stayed at in long years of touring. If I could create a site, this would be it, as near to perfection for us as possible. It has been so well thought out to offer some pitches that are the most secluded I have ever seen and others near facilities for those that want that. The owners clearly take great pride in the site and were working on it every day that we were there. They were most friendly and helpful. We rarely spend much time on site, preferring to go out exploring, but this place was so lovely and the wildlife so abundant that we spent much more time on site than usual. The only noise that we could hear was from the roaring of the River Garry down in the valley. There are fantastic walks beside this river and also up a tributary to a beautiful waterfall. The only thing for us as walkers was that the mountains around were so large and were often started very low that we were limited in what we could attempt.

Superb site in a fantastic location This is an excellent site, in a fabulous location. Really easy to find with directions supplied on the e-mail confirmation. Didnt realise when I booked that the site was so big, I thought all the pitches were around the water feature, but there was a lot more to the site. We were allocated one of the pitches up towards the reception area. Really big, great views and the picnic table (every pitch has one) is a nice touch and give a bit more flexibility for outdoor eating. The pitches beside the water are flat and very near their toilet block. The other pitches are uphill a bit and their toilet block is down a little slope. This wasnt an issue for us, but would be worth checking at time of booking. Two good toilet / shower blocks with dishwashing facilities attached. When we were leaving, solar panels were being fitted to both toilet blocks. When we arrived, we met Lauren at reception. What a really nice friendly and helpful service provided. We were only here for a couple of days, but anytime we spoke to Lauren and Colin they could not have been more helpful. Some good walking from the site itself. Also, when you walk down to the river (approx. 1 mile - via very quiet road) a lot more good walking to be had. We walked along the river to Invergarry. Not much in the village, but the hotel is worth a visit for nice food. Also local petrol station sells the basics, so no need to go short. This is an adult only site, but that wasnt the reason we booked. The site looked good, the location is spectacular and the walks for us and our dog were great. However, only one little issue. Be prepared for the famous Scottish midgie. These little blighters were out in force (only present for a small part of the year). Don't let that put you off. This is great site in a great location and is a good base for touring the area. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful setting on a hillside overlooking forest, hills and mountains.

This review is for Faichemard Farm Camping & Caravan Site

Beautiful setting on a hillside overlooking forest, hills and mountains. I have to confess to wondering how far along the lane I had to dtive with my 7m+ motorhome but it was well worth it and there were caravans already pitched up, so ..... Unusually, the reception is at the far end and, in this case, the very top of the site. This gives you the opportunity to view all the pitches, which are very spread out, as you drive up. Our welcome was warm and friendly. Each pitch is fairly level but blocks would be useful if you have to be perfectly horizontal. They all have lovely views of the surrounding area, beautiful. The facilities are spotlessly clean. This is the best site I have ever been to for peace and quiet.
