Enjoy the tranquillity of the Snowdonia National Park from this peaceful rural site.

Our Bala Club campsite boasts an idyllic rural location just outside the eastern boundary of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and six miles north of the lake after which it is named. Surrounded by amazing scenery, Bala campsite is the ideal base for exploring the attractions of north Wales.

The pretty and secluded 50 pitch site is level and well maintained with a good range of facilities including toilets, showers, laundry, a small children’s play area and a small dog walk. A short drive away, the town of Bala offer a variety of shops, a petrol station and places to eat. Sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing are all possible on Bala Lake and there are good walks and cycle routes from here too. Bala Lake Railway and the Ffestiniog Railways are great ways to take in the local scenery.

Less than an hour’s drive from Bala campsite is Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak. Scale its heights on foot or catch the train to the summit.

Local resorts with good sandy beaches include Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Harlech, Barmouth Fairbourne and Aberdovey.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

A little Gem hidden away in beautiful Wales. We stayed 2 nights but wish it had been longer. From the greeting on arrival to the spotless shower block this site is a joy to visit. We had a spot right at the bottom corner because of our 2 little Westies. They made sure we were in a space to allow us to get satellite signal and checked to see if everything was ok. If you want a site with shops and clubs and noise then this isnt for you, if you want peace and quiet then this will do the job. We will be returning soon.

This was our first stay and this site and we found it to be well maintained and managed by wardens Phil and Adele. They arranged for us to be pitched next to our friends who had arrived a few days previously, and throughout our stay kept us informed and advised on the various works that were going on such as creating more and larger hardstanding pitches, fixing a waste water drainage problem and finishing touches to the refurbished toilet block. Good to see the investment in this well situated site. Highlights of stay - reaching summit of Mount Snowden by train and foot, Dolgoch Falls and Castel-y-bere

A beautiful quiet setting in a wonderful part of Wales. Facilities are superb.

A beautiful quiet setting in a wonderful part of Wales. Facilities are superb. However, the water pressure in the sink taps, and the water control system on each tap , needs attention as the present system is EXTREMELY wasteful of water. If you simply want to rinse your hands you get far too much water , hot and cold, and the result is wasteful. The site is well maintained. Some subdued lighting at night would improve things. But not a big issue. The welcome was cordial enough and the warden was helpful. The only reason I have rated that item a 4 is the unsociability of the lady warden who in the entire time we were there never once spoke or acknowledged one's existence other than on our arrival, passing within feet of one without a word of greeting. Or even a smile. This, I have to say, is unusual in my experience of site wardens. But overall, a lovely site. We will be back. The setting and the facilities more than compensate for any lack of everyday civilities.
