Absolutely wonderful site.

Absolutely wonderful site. don't tell everyone or there'll be no room for us :) 5 hard standing electric supplied pitches, grassed area for relaxing, access is fine it is a single track road with passing places, we have never had any problems and we have a motorhome with a tow car. Great walks around the lodges and to the beach. Dog friendly, great off the lead walks, on the lead walks around the fishing lodges. The shared shower facilities are spotless and heated, no shivering in the cold. If you are a fisher man or lady you'll love this place, if your not, you'll love this place, it is so relaxing watching the fishermen. The site is not far from Annan town which is a lovely border town. with Tesco's and Aldi and a number of independent shops for browsing 1/2 hour from Gretna gateway which is a great shopping complex. So relaxing Broom fisheries is our favourite place and we return regularly Carol and John are very helpful and nothing is to much trouble.

Very odd at first sight, as it's a former (WW2) Ordnance factory, so loads of brick bomb shelters dotted round the area. All overgrown with thousands of trees and shrubs now, so much so it's been deemed a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Numerous large fishing lakes, very much appreciated by local anglers. Easy flat access, but care needed to stay on the road with a long car/caravan combination as a few tight-ish bends. We got there OK with a fifth wheel. Fairly minimal facilities. Enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Fantastic hideaway site Great site, very welcoming owner. Peaceful site tucked away down a narrow private access road. Very quite and private site with good facilities. Lovely walks round the fisheries and down to the shore of the Solway Firth. Will definitely visit again.
