The site is easily accessed and offers a peaceful, exceptionally well maintained parkland setting, with uninterrupted views over the open countryside. The facilities have been upgraded since we stayed some years ago and were very clean and tidy. The wardens were very welcoming and were outside every day maintaining the site as if it was their own garden. Large well maintained separate games field for children and walk to fishing lake.

A fabulous site! Quiet, very well maintained, excellent facilities, welcoming site managers, all with wonderful views. The site managers, Paul and Angi were very helpful and keep the site immaculately clean and tidy. We shall definitely come again, the best Club site weve ever stayed in.

On arrival our first impression of the site was Wow! We were not disappointed during our 13 night stay. The site managers, Angela and Paul, were extremely friendly and organised. They kept the site and facilities spotlessly clean. The recreation room had an excellent mix of well maintained activities to keep us entertained too. Well done. We enjoyed the peacefulness of this site, but weren't too far away from civilisation for shopping and other amenities etc. We used it as a base to get to various sections of The Tarka Trail to cycle along. The bread and pasties that could be pre-ordered from local suppliers were delicious, as were the fish and chips on Tuesday evening. We frequented the Rising Sun Inn a few times (food and drinks ok) but beware it's quite a steep climb, and extremely dark at night, if returning back to site on foot. The nearby Bell Inn and Chichester Arms have good menus too. One suggestion for improvement from us would be that the fishing pond could do with a little tlc and to cut some branches back around the banks. It was generally fine and provided a good catch. We will definitely consider returning here again and can highly recommend the site.
