Gentle strolls and more challenging climbs can both be enjoyed near this Club Site.

Our Hayfield Club campsite sits at the foot of the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park. This is walking country where you can enjoy anything from a gentle stroll to a more challenging climb. If you prefer the former, Hayfield village (the backdrop for the BBC’s TV drama The Village) is a 15-minute stream-side stroll from the site. For the latter, a walk up Lantern Pike rewards you with a 360 vista over seven counties. The walk up Kinder from the west side is one of the classic excursions of the Peak District. The walk starts at Bowden Bridge car park and takes around four-and-a-half hours.

Catch your breath and relax at Hayfield. This is a peaceful campsite in a secluded location with excellent on site facilities including a family/disabled washroom, drying facilities, children’s play area and a well-stocked site shop.

The surrounding area has a variety of attractions. East of the site at Castleton is Peveril Castle. Make the climb to the hilltop where the Norman fortress sits and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views across the Hope Valley. Castleton is home to a series of caverns including the Blue John Cavern famous for its minerals, fossils, stalagmites and stalactites.

The Freshfields Donkey Sanctuary, Quarry bank Mill and Styal Estate in Wilmslow and Go Ape! At Buxton Country Park are other popular local attractions.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Camping Pods are available at this campsite.

Really great site - friendly helpful wardens that were on hand all the time.

Really great site - friendly helpful wardens that were on hand all the time. Great facilities & a lovely little shop for necessities we all forget! 15 minute walk down river to town where there are several great pubs, a chippy and a fabulous Italian restaurant. The Sportsmans Inn is 5 mins walk up the road ... nice pub, very friendly staff, food a bit overpriced for what it was. Numerous fabulous walks start from Hayfield so this is a great all round site to stay at. Can't recommend enough!

Absolutely cracking camping facilities at Hayfield are made even better by the exceptional staff and picturesque village just down the river. Have a wander up the hills if you're feeling the need or just take it easy watching cricket in the village. You might even want to try the zipwire in the nearby park...hilarious. Thanks to Steve, Jane and the team for a great short break...even sorted the weather for us. Best camping in the world (of those places I've been to)

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were kept clean and tidy.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were kept clean and tidy. The pitches were well presented and well spaced out, also the grass is well kept. The site has water points throughout. There is also a play area for the younger ones. If you wanted a active holiday (walking and cycling) there is a kinder scout next door and plenty of other walks to do. For cyclists, there is the sett valley trail, which when you get too new mills lead you onto the canal toe paths which gives you miles of level safe cycling. If you like going out there are pubs which do excelent meals 5 mins away in Hayfield and also the sportman pub which is just round the corner from the site. The campsite is in the middle of all of this.
