Overview

  • Campsites which have a great on site play area

  • A popular site for families

    Great site for families

Family site with theme park and the appeal of nearby Milton Keynes.

With a theme park right on its doorstep, Gulliver’s Milton Keynes Club campsite is particularly popular with families with younger children but is equally convenient for anyone wishing to explore the many shops and attractions of Milton Keynes itself.

The 90-pitch campsite is well laid out with both grass and hardstand pitches and has excellent, modern facilities including a parent and child room, and washing up and laundry areas. There’s a children’s play area and of course, the theme park a short walk from the site. The campsite also has ten camping pods for those wanting to experience ‘glamping’.

As well as a variety of rides, Gulliver’s Land features the Dinosaur Park and Gulliver’s Farm with the new Splashzone, shows, plus restaurants and shops, many of which are indoors, so bad weather won’t spoil the fun.

Away from the campsite, Willen Lakeside Park hosts watersports and is good for walking. Three miles from the campsite, Milton Keynes has an excellent range of shops, cinema complex and many places to eat and drink. The town also has parks, cycleways and footpaths, as well as an ice rink, wakeboard park and at the Xscape complex you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding, indoor rock-climbing, body-flying and bowling.

Bletchley Park, home of The Codebreakers and Woburn Abbey with its gardens, deer park and antiques centre are also close by.

When you are near to the campsite and at the roundabout, please follow the signs to Gullivers Splash Zone (do not go into Gullivers Land).

You can also stay in a Camping Den and our new Maxi Glamping Tents here.

We've been here several times with a tent, this was our first visit in a caravan.

We've been here several times with a tent, this was our first visit in a caravan. The site was full, but we were greeted by the very friendly wardens and taken to a nice pitch - though close to the noisy work going on at the Marina across the road. Overall, we like the site - it's not by any means quiet, but the noise (aside from the marina) is just kids having fun which is lovely. The problem is with the toilets. There are only three male stalls for 75 pitches - many of which, it being the summer holidays, were tents with multiple kids in. And both family rooms were out of order the entire time we were there, so I found young girls with their dads in the gents on multiple occasions rather than in a family room where they could share the facilities privately. No explanation was given as to why the room was out of action, but the facilities are totally inadequate in my view. We were going to book an extra night, but, because of this, chose to go home instead. Also, rubbish had to be taken to a single location at reception which was a long trek for people on the other side of the site. A pity, as it almost spoiled a lovely site with excellent wardens.

Site was easy to get to though the signage was a bit sparse.

Site was easy to get to though the signage was a bit sparse. Very welcoming and helpful wardens. Site layout good but roads and hard-standing gravel poor. Toilet block clean and well cared for but badly out-of-state. Very nice to see a small herb garden you could help yourself to. Overall very good but a bit let down by the facilities.

I would give ten stars if I could! From the moment we arrived, the friendliness of the staff was fantastic. I?m a first time camper, with a newly purchased folding camper, and when I arrived (with just my young daughter) help was offered to unhitch, then when I needed advice about a few other things, help was instantly offered again! The site was lovely and spotlessly clean and just what we wanted. It?s quiet and spacious, but close enough to local attractions and amenities for us to pop out to if we wanted to. We went to Willen Lakes (2 minutes away) which is lovely. We also went out to local shops for supplies and there?s plenty of places to eat within 5-15 min drive. And of course there?s Gullivers land right on the doorstep! Whenever we bumped into staff on site, they always stoped for a friendly chat, and on the day we left, help was again offered if we ?needed any help with anything?. Was so pleased we chose Gullivers as our first camping trip venue, and we will be back (hopefully a bit more experienced this time!) Thankyou and keep up the good work!

The site is right next to Gullivers so is perfect location if you're intending to visit. We visited the pub next to the lake not even 10 minutes walk from site which was good. There was lots of walking opportunities both on and off site, lots to do both on and around the nearby lake and obviously Gullivers adjacent to the site with parts accessible directly from site. The lane leading to the site is a bit narrow and winding - 2 8ft wide caravans would struggle passing in areas. On to the staff. As a 31 year old man I felt INCREDIBLY patronised by the members of staff on numerous occasions and found the white haired chap to be verging on down right rude. To sum up the type of staff running the site... as we were leaving they appeared to be not letting new arrivals in until the check in time. After dropping rubbish in the only bins (by reception) at around 12 a caravan was sat outside the site. The site was almost empty as we were leaving at 12:30 and still the same caravan was sat there. Rules are rules but don't constantly ring people asking when they are arriving so you can spread out arrivals and then have arrivals waiting outside of an empty site. I also overheard a phone call with one of the wardens describing the site as level to the caller. My parents even had to use ramps on their hardstanding pitch, never mind the hill that we were told to pitch our 8m caravan on - the area we were told to pitch on was FAR from level. Stating your site is dog friendly and then instructing you to go OFFSITE for them to even relieve themselves isn't exactly friendly. With the construction work going on opposite the site the road is also extremely dirty! Thankfully it being a Bank Holiday weekend the work was halted for the weekend but on the Thursday and Friday the noise and vibration from the piling was unbearable - something to also bear in mind. We will not be returning.
