Overview

A spacious and secure site with an airy feel, adjoining the 300-acre public Corkagh Park and with views to the hills. 

The Corkagh Park adjacent to the site offers children's play area, pet farm, lakes, a cycle track and dog walking area. This site is convenient either as a stop en route to all areas of the Emerald Isle, or for a longer stay to visit Dublin with its lovely Georgian architecture, lively Temple Bar district and tours of the famous Guinness brewery. Good day trips are the Wicklow Hills and the Irish National Stud.

 

Location

Located on the western edge of the Dublin suburbs, off the busy N7 road to Limerick and near Dublin’s outer ring road. Dublin centre 6 miles, Dublin port 8 miles.

 

Local transport (2019): Bus stop outside of site entrance for services into Dublin city centre. Hop on hop off sightseeing bus (tickets available at reception, under 14s free of charge) also departs from the campsite daily (dogs permitted). No local train service available. Cycle track along the Grand Canal between Dublin centre and Shannon. 

 

Pitches

Total pitches: 163. Large, open, shaded or part-shaded pitches; with hard standing, 10A electricity, water and drainage. Grass pitches with or without 10A electricity. 

 

Low Season

Busy during Easter and Bank Holiday periods, quieter at other times.

 

High Season

Busy with campers from around Europe.

  • Site closed for booking 6-15 July 2020, owing to a convention in the area.

Site Accessibility

Dedicated accessible facilities. Ramp to reception. Flat access to special unisex washrooms including: shower with grab rail and seat; washbasin with grab rails, lever taps, low level mirror and low level clothes hook; raised wc with grab rail. Flat terrain, with main routes and pathways of tarmac.
