Les Saules Les Saules

Apart from having the most welcoming of owners, Les Saules’ biggest advantages are its direct access to a vast network of cycle paths linking up some of the region’s greatest châteaux, a great pool area, and its status as a classified bird sanctuary, with 58 bird species on site.

Location

Between the villages of Cour-Cheverny and Contres, on a network of over 300 miles of cycle paths linking many forests and châteaux of the Sologne/Loire area. Cour Cheverny village centre 3 miles, Contres village centre 5 miles, Châteaux: Cheverny 1 mile, Beauregard 7 miles, Blois 12 miles, Chambord 15 miles, Chenonceaux 22 miles.

Local transport: No local bus or train service available. Daily shuttle available to book onsite to Blois train station, and to the château at Chambord. Car hire available on site subject to availability.

Total pitches: 164. Mostly shaded, and part-shaded pitches; all with 10A electricity.

Low Season

A quiet base for exploring the central Loire Valley and Sologne region, with most onsite services open all season.

High Season

Never too busy, even when full.

Site Accessibility

Dedicated accessible facilities. Excellent well-adapted site. Ramp to reception. Flat access to special unisex washrooms including: shower with grab rail and seat; washbasin with lever tap, low level mirror and low level clothes hook; wc with grab rail. Flat terrain, with main routes and pathways of tarmac or compacted earth. Flat to bar/restaurant. Chair hoist into covered pool. New wash block planned for 2019 with disabled access to all cubicles.
