Just returned from this excellent site, the site has easy access to the motorway system, the facilities are excellent and very clean they are cleaned thoroughly by the owners everyday, site is ideal for walker, cycling, and those who want to just chill and relax, the pitches are spacious, once youve got your caravan on the pitch and emptied your car you have to park your car in the car park which I think is an excellent idea, the owners are where very helpful, in the local towns of Roermond and Reuver you have very good shopping facilities including a large camping accessories store in Roermond we would gladly return to this site

I didn't feel the site was really geared up for foreign tourists. When we checked in the lady gave us a glossy booklet and apologised that it was only available in Dutch, as are all the information signs. It looks quite a new site and there isn't much shade. Cars have to be left outside the barrier and again there is no shade in the car park. Pitches are large and facilities very good. As we were preparing to leave, just after 11 am, we found Reception was closed and therefore could not get through the barrier. It turns out you are supposed to leave before 11 but we hadn't been informed of this.

Currently at the site.

Currently at the site. Its 32 degrees and its forecast to be much the same for the next week or so. The owners are so so helpful, and nice, which has been a huge bonus. The pitches are all seperated by small hedges with only about 3/4 pitches per bay. The childrens parks are very good and last night the owner came to the younger kids park to play a tower building game which was a really nice touch. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting and a place that I would not hesitate to recommend. An odd thing mind ... its the end of July and the site is only about 35% full. I am told that locals travel south for summer and that it is more busy in spring and autumn. Either way .. and no matter what the reason, I dont much like busy sites, so its very much an added bonus. A++++

A superb, clean and well run site. Huge pitches with hedges give you privacy.

A superb, clean and well run site. Huge pitches with hedges give you privacy. The site is pedestrianised, which gives you an uncluttered view and a tranquil atmosphere. Cars are parked in the car park by the site entrance. We stayed for 17 nights and we cannot recommend it enough. The owners were welcoming and helpful, rolls and bread available from the shop every day, just remember to order the night before. Excellent Wi-Fi which was VFM. Toilet block, and dishwashing facilities immaculate. It is about a 3 hr drive from the Hook of Holland. Great area for cycling and the site is 5 minutes off the A73, situated between Venlo and Roermond. Bikes are available to hire on site, but we took our own. Supermarkets are located nearby at Swalmen, Beesel and Reuver and a great camping shop in Roermond. Roermond and Venlo also have supermarkets readily available. Having spent 3 1/2 years living over the German border in the early 80's in the RAF it was a nostalgic holiday for me and the wife. The German border is a 15 minute drive from the site. Dining out opportunities are endless both in the local area and into Bruggen in Germany. We used Venlo Station for a day trip by train to Amsterdam. We had a fantastic holiday and the quality of the site made a major contribution to this. No cars on site is a great feature and gets you walking as well as talking to other campers. A memorable holiday. Thank you Petrushoeve.
