Overview
Set in a former quarry, now mature undulating woodland on different levels
If you like to get back to nature and just relax, this simple green hide-away site, in its lush, irregular and rambling surroundings has a picturesque swimming pool, paddling pool and large sunbathing terrace that together provide its focus. Xavier Ozon, the friendly, English-speaking owner is keen to help and advise. The marvellous château of Chantilly is just a short drive away as is Parc Astérix. Both make for a great fun day out and all that Paris has to offer is just a train journey from the small town of Saint Leu (25 mins on foot, or free parking if travelling by car), or from the Metro zone 5 station in Fosses .
Owned and run by Xavier Ozon and family, English spoken.

We arrived when campix was still in renovation, still greeted by a very friendly gentleman & shown maps, helped to locate our area & shown around. Our stay was absolutely amazing with wilderness around us, the pool, the town only a walk away. I hope to return to this marvelous camp site!
Thanks to the owner & thank you to all who we met while staying in such a lovely place.

We visited in early May. The site was overgrown and the grass Was very long and hedges and bushes unkempt, very gloomy site and not like the photo on the website
Long electrical leads were necessary. The shop and cafe and swimming pool are onlyopen in July and August.
San faces clean and adequate .helpful owner who spoke English
Good campervan service point
Site roads narrow and overgrown.
Pitches small and most not level.
Cannot see why should be recommended by camping and caravan club as lots of better sites in the area.
So disappointed we did not stay our booked Second night.

We found the campsite to be very welcoming. The owner speaks very good English and helps wherever possible.
We had pick of the pitches. The children rode bikes around the site, played on the playground and thoroughly enjoyed exploring.
We intend using the site again as a stop over to travel further south.
The only tip if camping as the site is an old quarry the ground is extremely hard, would be make sure have groundhog pegs and then something to get them out. We had to purchase a claw hammer whilst there, although the owner did say he would help us. But decided we needed one in our kit for future trips.
We would advise on approach you switch you sat nav off and follow the brown tourist signs as the sat nav takes you to a dead end which if travelling with a towed vehicle you would struggle to turn it around.

We stayed here for 2 nights last week. We arrived and were welcomed by the owner who speaks English very well. We were told just find a pitch that we liked which suited us. We found a great pitch close to the pool which our 8 yr old(and hubby) loved. The play area was clean and functional which my daughter enjoyed.
You can have BBQ's and Campfires here which is great for keeping the mosquito's away. We did get ants in the motorhome from this pitch (we had to get some ant powder)so moved the second night to one the other side of the pool and had no problems.
The showers and toilet facilities are very clean. Showers were warm but you had to keep hold of the button for it to keep running.
Lots of nature in and around the campsite with Red Squirrels, birds of prey and the odd cat too.
The site has fresh bread and croissants which are delivered daily but you need to orderthe day before.
It's a short walk into the village with local shop and a beautiful Abbey to walk around.
Chantilly Chateaux and stables is very close and well worth a visit.
We will definitely be returning to this little piece of paradise!
