WOW, what a great site, good sized pitches in two fields with a separate shower block and toilets for each area. The owners couldn't be more helpful, always willing to advise on places to visit in the area. A different activity was held each night which included wine tasting, cocktail evening, get together BBQ, welcome drinks evening, pizza night with some local traders selling homemade produce from cheese to wines. As has been said the pool is superb, heated and has a disability ramp. We had a water supply next to the van and could have attached to it and every pitch in our area had electric. On site the have a restaurant serving home cooked meals this had to be booked which was not unreasonable has every day had a different menu. The shop was a bit sparse but sold the essentials, bread had to be ordered the day before. Whilst there the Bastille celebration took place in the village, they escorted us down and made sure we were part of the procession to the fireworks display. Having returned to caravanning after a break we found a real haven which made for a great holiday. I would highly recommend this site. In the area are many Chateau's to visit, plus the towns of Tours, Angers and Saumur where we found the local wine makers very accommodating. Also close to the site is the Vouvray wine making area just had to visit the cave and taste the local whites. Needless to say a few boxes where slipped in the car and brought home. Highly recommend this site, well worth a visit.

Orangerie de Beauregard is a new site which opened in May 2018. Much work has obviously been put into getting the site ready and it is without doubt one of the best sites we have ever stayed at. The site is situated within the grounds of a handsome French chateau. All of the facilities are housed in tastefully converted buildings around the chateau. The sanitary block is spotlessly clean with plenty of space and no queues in the morning! Other facilities include a restaurant (with delicious home-made food at a reasonable price), a coffee shop and bar, a large games room and even a chapel! There is a superb all-weather multisport court together with a boules court However, the pice de la rsistance has to be the magnificent swimming pool set in front of the converted orangery building. It even provides disabled access with a ramp running the whole length of the pool, enabling a wheel chair to be wheeled right into the water. Its the kind of thoughtful detail that is reflected throughout the whole site. The pitches are large and most have their own water and electricity supply. There are shady pitches available around the borders of the main area and others where you can enjoy sun throughout the whole day. In addition to the provision for tents, caravans and motorhomes there are also glamping barrels and glamping cabins available for hire. There is an excellent childrens club on site with lots of activities for the children who were well catered for. There were activities for the adults as well including a small street market that visited and our particular favourite, a very entertaining wine and cheese evening! There are lots of walks about the park and we even managed to spot several deer. The area is great for cycling and bikes are available for hire on site. There are many interesting places to visit within easy reach of the site, including some of the best chateaux on the Loire, including Chenonceau and Chambord.
