In a woodland château setting on the edge of a small, quiet village

A beautiful site, with excellent services and a great location in the heart of Burgundy, a lovely and fascinating region. We wished we could have stay longer.

This review is for Château de l'Epervière

We wished we could have stay longer. Our pitch overlooked the play area, which was perfect for our three children (3,5 and 7 years) as we could let them play and watch them from the awning. The fishing made my sons day. He caught 7 fish in the space of an hour. Toilets and showers were spotless. As was the pool area, which looked new. Excellent area for cycling with beautifully villages and river paths. We enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant and the take away also had lots of choice but we didn’t get chance to try it . We would love to return another year and next time we will book a longer stay.

Well, what a nice site this is.

This review is for Château de l'Epervière

Well, what a nice site this is. As well as the Chateau, the grounds have a couple of fishing lakes with ducks and other birds mouching around and European beavers in there too! There are some large family glamping type tents near the Chateau available to book that looked nice. Although fairly full the site didnt feel like it. Pitches are generous in size and it was peaceful throughout our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the onsite shop is useful but a supermarket is only a fairly short drive away if you needed more. The washrooms were immaculate and cleaned very frequently, showers individual, lockable and water lovely and hot. Sinks in modern, individual lockable cubicles which were also spotless. Washing up are outside and chemical waste areas all clean and modern. All modern washing machines and dryers available near the shop and bar area. Free wine tasting twice a week in the cellar, bike hire, a takeaway serving pizza and a small quiet bar are all available. The restaurant was lovely too serving a variety of cuisine at a reasonable price. The Swimming pool was nice if a little busy at times. One minor gripe, some children were a bit boisterous in the adult pool area and parents clearly letting them splash and dive etc ignoring the signs around the pool area. It didnt spoil our stay by any means and isnt a negative reflection on the campsite at all. Now I dont like wearing budgie smugglers, the physique isnt what it used to be, but I did wear them to respect the rules so it was a bit annoying that others didnt. Again signs clearly showing NO swim shorts! On a positive note We rode alongside the Saone river and around the different villages ...beautiful. All in all an absolutely lovely place and will definitely go back one of the best.

Site very nice with some pitches having view to fishing lake.

This review is for Château de l'Epervière

Site very nice with some pitches having view to fishing lake. Excellent outdoor pool, there is also a heated smaller indoor pool. Toilets and showers are good but Unisex. Did not use restaurant but take-away beef bourguignon and frites very good value. Excellent and friendly staff. Wifi seemed ok in the bar area. **** Would definitely use again if in area.
