This guided walk will take you on a trip back in time around Kinder Scout, starting straight from the site. The cost has been reduced for Club Campers to £30 per person – and it’s well worth it! This is a circular walk of around six hours. The tale begins at the meeting point for the Kinder Trespass of April 1932. Then you will visit the moors above Kinder Reservoir, which has been supplying water to the local area for over 100 years.
You will then be taken across the beautiful Pennine Way to view two aircraft which made a fateful journey and crashed into the hillside in 1954. This brings you onto a steep climb onto Kinder Scout, which is well worth it to see the pretty Kinder Downfall waterfall. Along the journey you will be kept informed with details of the area and ancient tales.
At this point, you will head back down to Hayfield for a rest and to tell others about your escapades!
