Thorpe Campsite

If it’s peace and quiet you’re seeking, look no further than the secluded Thorpe caravanning and camping site in Norfolk.

With the river Thet running at the side of the site and the forest all around you, here you’ll feel a million miles away from it all.

Put your feet up and relax, try some fishing on the river or explore the many cycling and walking trails that crisscross the forest.

Keep an eye out too for a wide variety of wildlife including many bird species and wild deer.

This site is the perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and near-by attractions include the Forestry Commission’s High Lodge Forest Centre (with more cycling and walking routes) and GoApe - the high-wire forest adventure at Thetford.

There are no toilets or showers onsite, but portable loo facilities can be hired. A small shop will meet all your daily needs and the closest village, which has a choice of places to eat, is just two and a half miles away.

At this Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award site, dogs are allowed and a variety of pitches are available.
