Yukon & Alaska
Day 1
Fly to Whitehorse via Vancouver and stay in a Whitehorse hotel. Alternatively, you could stop over in Vancouver on the way and explore the
capital of British Columbia.
Day 2 - 4
Pick up your motorhome and drive along the Alaska Highway to Haines Junction, your base for the first three days of the trip. Haines Junction is a great base to explore this spectacular mountainous region, with the Ruby and Dezadeash Ranges offering spectacular views.
Day 5 - 7
Today you head off to Haines in Alaska – depending on your schedule you could take longer to do this trip with numerous spectacular stop-offs on the way. Kathleen Lake is great for bird watching and a likely place to see bears. Dezadeash Lake and Million Dollar Falls on the Takhanne River are great places for fishing.
Day 8 - 10
Take the ferry to Skagway the gateway to the Klondike Gold Fields. Take your chance panning for gold in the Gold Rush visitor centre.
Day 11 - 13
Leaving the cottonwod trees of Skagway behind, take the White Pass and the Klondike Highway 2 towards Carcross – a truly spectacular drive.
Day 14
Driving back to Whitehorse you will pass Emerald Lake – a natural wonder of clear blue water.
Day 15
Return your motorhome and fly back to London via Calgary. Why not stop over in Calgary to get a taste of Canada’s cowboy country?
