Camping in Northern Ireland

If you are looking for a camping destination with breath-taking landscapes, miles of unspoilt coast and an array of visitor attractions, camping in Northern Ireland offers the perfect holiday.

The region is steeped in history and turbulent recent years have given way to a new beginning, transforming Northern Ireland into a ‘must see’ tourist destination.

Camping in Northern IrelandNo visit would be complete without a walk on the world famous Giant’s Causeway, relaxing on one of the many award-winning beaches and exploring the dramatic countryside (not to mention visiting some of the many castles, monuments and monasteries).

Northern Ireland is easy to get to. From the UK mainland take the ferry to Belfast and the Club’s own site at Delamont Country Park near Downpatrick is a short drive away.

The site is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and right by the impressive Strangford Lough; the largest sea Lough in the British Isles, which is a renowned haven for birds and other wildlife.

The facilities, which are up to our usual high standard, include grass and hard standing pitches, a small shop and a modern washing block.
