Provence and French Alps
Provence and French Alps
From breath taking mountain peaks to the select hillside villages dotted behind the Côte d’Azur, the French Alps and Provence offer a truly memorable holiday
Although away from the higher Alpine peaks, picturesque Provence is a land of deep valleys, densely wooded hills and rolling landscapes. Here colourful lavender fields and vineyards mingle with charming villages that cling to the hillsides. Down below, rushing rivers snake their way out to the coast and into the shimmering Mediterranean.
The splendid cuisine of Provence makes the area a food lover’s dream and it is also known as a cultural hub with many artists and crafts people living and working here.
The sun shines almost all year round so it is not surprising that Provence is one of France’s most popular holiday destinations.
The French Alps region is something truly special. Here you’ll find dramatic landscapes topped by snowy peaks amongst traditional and unspoiled mountain villages.
Both regions are of course, a ‘must’ for those who love the great outdoors.
