With rolling green hills, tranquil woodland and valleys that plunge down to meandering rivers, the Dordogne and Lot regions are arguably the most beautiful and charming in France.

Here you will find an array of cycle paths, hiking trails and rivers and lakes, which make the region perfect for those who love outdoor activities such as cycling, walking, canoeing and kayaking.

History, from the prehistoric through to the modern age is all here. Choose from world famous, stone-age caves, enchanting castles from the middle ages (locals will tell you there are 1,001 of them here) and wonderfully maintained romantic chateaux. No matter which period in time you’d like to travel back to, these regions have it all.

Culturally, you’re really in the heart of France and you’ll find a laid back approach to life and a warm welcome at the many towns and villages dotted throughout the region.

Dordogne and Lot are also perfect destinations for foodies and, at local bars and restaurants (plus, at an array of regional festivals throughout the year) you’ll experience memorable wines and delightful local dishes.

You’re guaranteed a warm welcome at Le Vézère Périgord. This peaceful, woodland site is just 300 yards from the river Vézére with its fishing, canoeing and river beach. Also close by, there are prehistoric caves to explore and onsite, the wide range of facilities include a swimming pool, waterslide and paddling pool, shop and bar & restaurant.

The high quality Soleil Plage site is in a stunning Dordogne setting. Here you’ll find towering cliffs and meandering rivers with a range of excellent facilities including a great swimming pool complex and many family activities to join in with. Members can also enjoy a rally here in May.

A very warm welcome awaits you at Domaine des Mathevies. A lovely site with swimming pool, cosy bar and fantastic terrace where you can enjoy views over the Dordogne valley. During the high season barbecue evenings are organised along with a weekly campfire evening. Canoe trips and pony rides can also be arranged, whilst cycle rides and walks from the site offer lots of chances to explore the area.

Nestled in rolling countryside, Le Cabri is a lovely, small, British-owned site, ideal for couples and families wanting a relaxing holiday and a genuine taste of rural France. The medieval village of Duras with shops, restaurants, bars and twice weekly market is just a half a mile stroll away.

The adult only site at Château de Lacomté is a great base from which to explore the surrounding Lot region. Set in beautiful woodland, a large swimming pool is just one of the many high quality facilities available here.

The charming hilltop site at La Paille Basse is in a truly idyllic setting. A busy but relaxed atmosphere makes it an ideal holiday destination for all ages. The friendly and welcoming site at Moulin de Campech is popular with the British and with its homely, picturesque setting and high quality range of facilities; it is easy to see why. There’s a fishing lake and a swimming pool here and a range of social activities are organised including weekly quizzes and barbecues.

Very well placed for exploring the Lot region, the site at Le Soulhol is set in lush green surroundings with the town of St. Céré just a short walk away. A good quality swimming pool and a range of other premium facilities make this is a great holiday destination. Members can also enjoy a rally here in May and June.
