My wife & I have just got back and found the site to be best we have visited yet within the club. (And we have visited lots over the years)The facilities were spot on. Great location for lovely walks from site, and the managers were so helpful and the friendliest yet!
You can see see their commitment and hard work ,which certainly was appreciated by us.
Maybe other club managers should take a visit to this site so they can be inspired and up their game with their site.
Many thanks

The friendliest, cleanest club site we have visited. Very quiet and relaxing. Lovely views. This was our first visit but won't be our last. The site is a credit to Bill and Lyn, the proprietors; their hard working and cheerful manner really pay off. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

This is an excellent site, with a friendly welcome. We have been here before and have always found the facilities very good, with a warm and clean toilet block. The pitches all appear level, with good hardstanding spaces and plenty of room. It is a generally quiet site, and is popular with anglers, havng an attractive lake on site. There is the main Hereford railway line next to the site, but the fairly frequent trains are not too intrusive - and are fine if you like watching trains! It is a rural, peaceful site with little to entertain you on site, unless you're into fishing, but there are plenty of walking and cycling routes.

This is one of the best club sites we have stayed on. Picturesque lakes, wildlife, peace and tranquility. The owners are helpful and couldn't do enough for you. It was freezing at night and we woke up to a frozen water container and the lake froze over but it was sunny all day. You could see the snow on the black mountains from the site. Site clean and tidy and toilet block immaculate - nice touch to have radio Hereford and Worcester in there all day! Also nice touches with tissues and handcream etc., in the ladies loo. Great area for walking and visiting NT properties. We loved it and will definitely return.

Friendly and helpful wardens. Very attractive, landscaped site which is very well looked after. Large field area for the children to play in, no playground equipment, but our children didn't miss that at all. Wooded area for walking dogs and children. Lovely, landscaped fishing pools. Not fishing people ourselves so cannot comment on this other than to say that the pools added to the prettiness of the site. Plenty of showers and loos which are kept spotlessly clean.
Hereford is lovely. The swimming pool in the town is great for children - has a slide and wave machine & there is a good playground next to it. This wasn't our 1st visit and it wont be our last.

An excellent well kept site, everything in order. Friendly welcome if a bit formal. There appears to be a bit of a paranoia with regard to dogs on the site, signs everywhere, "dogs should be on leads even in the surrounding woods". The dog walk is all of 150 yards long where they are allowed off their leads.
Apart from that we enjoyed our stay, good well stocked shop and a curry night on Mondays.

We stayed at this site for 5 nights with our friends recently. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival and shown to our roomy pitch. The facilities were always exceptionally clean even when there had been a lot of rain! There was a well stocked shop in reception with all the basic needs with a few luxuries, nice fresh bread and home baked cakes! The Royal Oak at Much Marcle is well worth a visit if you don't want to cook - fabulous food. This is a fantastic site with very friendly and helpful staff. There's something extra special about this site. It's beautiful, from the spacious pitches to the well-stocked fishing lake and the little wood with its own grove of oak trees, where ducks and rare-breed chickens run free. When you've seen this idyllic place and experienced the warm hospitality of owners Bill and Lynn and their team of assistants, you won't want to leave. This is a franchised site with a high level of care, attention to detail and personal touches. The facilities are first class. The delightful place and friendly people combine to make a happy atmosphere for everyone. The nearby A438 gives easy access to the surrounding area. The bus service from the site entrance to Hereford and Ledbury is reliable and frequent. Trains do run alongside the site, but the sound doesn't tend to be intrusive. There is no children's play area here, so it's great for parents who like to entertain their own children and spend time together. The site shop is stocked with good-quality essentials (including chocolate and ice-cream!) A fish and chip van visits three times a week and Bill and Lynn will even order you a curry or chilli on Mondays. Quite simply, camping and caravanning doesn't get any better than this. Time spent here leaves us with a feeling of deep peace and tranquillity, which lasts long after we return home. It's magical.

Right in the middle of Hereford & Ledbury so plenty of things to do. The Trumpet Pub 15mins away does lovely food at reasonable prices & The Starchip Enterprise fish & chip van that visits the site does a mean cod n chips, again very good value! We have just spent another 7 nights at this beautiful camp site.
Every single one of the staff were so wonderfully friendly and kind, they all made our stay so special and enjoyable you just could not ask for more.
We spent my birthday there and they made my day the best birthday I have had for years " Thank you ALL".
Even though we had some rough weather, there is so much to do around millpond you just can't get bored even in the rain, so many places to visit.
We also purchased some Duck food from the site shop and fed the ducks outside our tent and we had a lovely visit from them every morning and evening " Wonderful".
We recommend Hereford Millpond to everyone who love a friendly, clean, beautiful, peaceful, camp site.
Thanks to all the most excellent Managment and Staff. Thank you all.

This is a truly lovely site - tranquil and peaceful day and night. The owners and staff are very helpful and obliging and nothing seems too much trouble for them and then genuinely seem to love their job! The toilet facilities are second to none although the showers were a bit on the hot side for me! The water pressure is very low and it seems to take ages to do a bit of hand washing, but hey we have plenty of time so does that really matter. If I had to be really picky the only complaint I would have is that the road up to and around the camp is full of potholes which need filling in. Other than that we couldn't find fault even if we wanted to. We will certainly be back

This site was superb. I went alone with my two girls aged 7 and 4 and was really nervous about pitching and staying all by myself. From the moment I arrived the staff were so reassuring and made me feel safe and secure. If you want to get close to nature this site will do it for you. There's chickens, rabbits, fishing, and lots of birds. The staff let my little ones handle eggs that the chickens just laid. Facilities are fantastic and clean. This site really is 5 star and it was the little things that make it what it is. Even radio in the showers! I would highly recommend it. Staff are genuinely caring and kind. Thank you for everythingX

Wonderful, peaceful, friendly site.We don't want to say how really beautiful this site is because we we're affraid everyone will go ther- but please try it - you won't be disappointed.
The management and staff are all so very, very friendly and helpful they're great, they can't do enough to help you and we know, I'm in a wheelchair and found the whole site available too me.
Ledbury just down the road a few mile is beautiful, and locally there are lots of places to eat and drink.
If you want to know where to eat or to go visit just ask Bill he has a wealth of knowledge about where to go and what to do.
Monday night Curry nite on site, and Friday night the fish and Chip van on sit "great" We will recommend this site to everyone who likes peace and quiet.

This is one of the lovliest sites we have been to and the proprietors have attended to every detail with care and consideration, from a lovely shop selling delicious home made cakes and local bread to the little 'extras' in the ladies showers - cottonbuds, hand lotion ect. The showers were superb - not just the usual plastic curtain - but actual shower cubicles with glass doors.
Very clean and tidy, with a beautiful fishing lake and so easy to catch the bus to Ledbury or Hereford without even having to use the car!
Such a shame that people still cannot keep to the rules though! In spite of the provision of a couple of good dog walks there are still people who feel that it is appropriate to let their dogs run free on the recreation area - and a Doberman at that. Not appropriate to be chasing the cows on the other side of the fence or to be letting it run free over the site. If rules are made they are for everyone, not just a few of us! Shame!
However, it didn't spoil our holiday, neither did the weather and I would recommend this site 100%.

This is a superb site which we can fully reccomend.
We received a very warm welcome at reception which is stocked with all essentials, including local honey, cakes etc as well as supplies for the fisherman.
There are two fields - main one by the lake where most caravans and motorhomes pitch and the second quieter field where tents as well as some caravans are pitched. Being a tent we were in the second field two thirds of which has EHU. Trains can be heard but at what seemed one train an hour this is not an issue. At the bottom of the field by the trees bird noise in the morning could be an issue for light sleepers but didnt worry us.(This was pointed out to us by staff before we ptiched up)
There is a large space behind the second field which can be used for ball games as well as a wooded dog walk.
Papers can collected from reception from 8.30 at an addnl cost of 10p per paper.
A good fish and chip van visits Weds/Fri with Curry delivered on Mon
Toilet and shower facilities are spotless and modern with piped radio. Dishwashing is outside but under cover.
Fishing lake was well used and provides a good backdrop for non fishermen as are the very well tended grounds overall.
Free WiFi is available which is a good touch.
We found the site quiet at night - previous reviewer must have been unlucky with their neighbours.
There are walks from the site and Hereford is about 15 mins away by car with buses from the top of the lane.
There is one walkable pub however not a family pub. A well stocked information room has menus from other places.
The site currently has a deal with a local spa which gives access to Gym, Swimming pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi Pool for £5 per day.
Malvern hills are about 20 mins, Brecon about an hour. Wye Valley about 30 mins.
Our overriding impression was of a well run site by owners who care about the site and their visitors - definately the best Club site we have visted and one to which we will return.

There is no doubt that this is a beautiful site and the wardens are extremely friendly and helpful. However, the water pressure on the site is very low and can take up to 10/15 mins to fill an aquaroll. The CDP is placed right next to the dishwashing area. But the most annoying thing was the grass cuttings left all over the camping field - impossible not to have the inside of your unit covered in them.

Efficent, friendly & clean site. well run by owners.pretty surroundings with the fishing pond & very good dog walk which circumnavigates the site. the site assistants are very helpful & ready to sort out any problems or issues. there is a train track very close to site with quite frequent trains running. it did not bother us but it may others. lots of dogs on site, some of whom were not on leads when by their units, although its the rule. we found that apart from the site dog walk, there's not really a country park or similar for 8 miles, & the alternative is walking through the wheat field just outside the main road of the site, with the dogs. lovely free range chickens on site. Information, which was good, was coupled with the laundry room which was small, so, very cramped at times. showers/washing facilities excellent, like a hotel & very clean. I was very impressed that the main toilet/shower block was closed for cleaning in the afternoon at around 2pm. excellent idea, 5 *. i think all sites should do this as the busiest usage is in the mornings when most sites want to shut between 11-12 for cleaning! lastly, the chemical disposal unit is in a bad place, its near the main hub, & everyone is toddling along in the mornings forming a queue to empty their waste for all to see, could it not be re located somewhere back and beyond, a little more 'out the way'?

We recently stayed at the Millpond and must say what a fabulous site it is. Unfortunately on our arrival we realised we had left our camping chairs at home! As we were in a tent it would not have made for a comfortable few days. When I asked where we could go to purchase some Lynn very kindly loaned us two of her own chairs. Also the next day when I asked if they sold bags of ice in the shop Bill went to his own freezer and gave us some ice cubes. Their helpfulness was above and beyond what they had to do. The site itself was lovely it was well maintained, well laid out and the facilities were excellent. The shower and toilet block was kept spotless at all times. The fishing lake was an added bonus and we enjoyed a walk around the lake after our evening meal. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. The site is very clean and very well maintained. I loved the privacy cubicles in the ladies, with their own toilets and handbasins as well as fresh handtowels every day.I would have given five stars but for the strange positioning of the CDP. Was it really necessary to place it right on top of the dishwashing sinks and at the junction of all the paths and with no privacy at that. The water pressure at the CDP was pretty low too, especially once the cistern had been flushed.
The lake is very pretty and very popular with fisherfolk.
Now for the cons. There is definite road noise, sometimes worse than others. There is train noise, not much of a problem during the day but early morning it's noticeable. Planes - well there are those too although not constant.
Farmer cut his grass as 6.55 on a Sunday morning for over an hour. Probably necessary - he'd say so anyway!
Biggest problem for us was the inconsiderate late night noise by other campers. I really didn't need to be woken between 11.45 and gone midnight, everynight for 7 nights by you calling in your dogs and then you shutting up your vehicle. Talking in an everyday voice at this time will make it worse too. Please think about others. Just because you are awake doesn't mean everyone else has to be - does it? For the first time in nearly 8 years membership I felt obliged to complain to the office. I was assured the matter would be dealt with. Later I was sought by a warden (nice personal touch - thank you)who told me they thought they knew who it was but didn't seem to accept that the culprits were immediately behind us, even when I told him I wasn't mistaken since I knew the dogs' name off by heart!!
There was a slight improvement following my complaint but not enough to stop me being woken every night.
When choosing a pitch, look carefully at what is around you.
What could have been a lovely break was thoroughly spoilt by your thoughtlessness.

we stayed at hereford for the first time over easter weekend, when looking for a site and reading reviews i said to my partner that the reviews were so good they must have written them themselves, that was till we stayed there. the site is by far the best site we've stayed on, the staff are the key to this, they are warm friendly helpful, behond the call of duty!!
the site is kept immaculately, grounds are beautiful, the facilities are on par with top class hotels, we will certainly be staying here again many times.

We've just returned from having spent 4 nights at the Hereford site. It was recommended by my parents who've stayed there previously. I can't praise enough the warm welcome from all the staff at the site. The facilities are clean and more importantly are available at a time when you are checking out unlike many others. The views are lovely and the open aspect gives for a very relaxing break. I would definately reccommend the site and will be revisiting again. A credit to the themselves and the club. Thank you

Could never be graded lower than 5 star. The Franchisee and his staff bust a gut to be friendly and helpful. They got us out of a real hole when I left my Leisure battery at home. my husband and i visited this site with friends the end of october and was very please with this site all round, the shop was not very well stocked up but as they only had one more week to run it was understandable, the near by train track caused us no bother at all, the lake has been kept to a very high standard, the large dog walk is lovely around the site and and plenty of dog bins. symonds yat rock wellworth the visit. shame only one run down pub near site and no convienence store. within walking distance of site.no dogs allowed on buses so had to drive every where.ledbury beautiful place to visit but not walkable, baileys in peterstow well worth a visit so is ross-on-wye fish and chip van on comes on the site on fri fantastic, keep up the excellent work

I would just like to let you know what a wonderful year we have had camping with the Club. I have taken a year off this year so had lots of camping breaks. We started our adventures in April at Winchcombe and travelled to Corfe Castle from there. We had glorious weather; the scenery was fantastic we visited Swanage and Studland Bay. In May we went to Sandringham, sadly the Queen wasn’t in, the site was set in beautiful grounds, and we visited Brancaster and Huntingham. Later that month we went to Hereford and here we visited The Weir and Symonds Yat. In June we went to Cheddar, Mendip Heights again outstanding views, we visited Glastonbury Tor and Wells. In July we went to Chipping Norton and we went to Cornbury Festival, we have been for the last 5 years, great music and wonderful atmosphere. At the end of the month we went to Veryan, again fantastic weather and views, we visited St Mawes, Falmouth, St Austall, Truro and local villages. We also camped at Bath on our way back to visit our daughter. August we went to Chard, not a club sites, not impressive. In September we went to Delamere Forest, had a lovely time at Chester and exploring the forest. In October we went to Preston, again not a club site, but we wanted to take our daughter to the illuminations .In between all these breaks we have had short stays at our second home Woverley. We would like to say every club site gave us a warm friendly welcome and we will not be going to non club sites next year. We store our caravan at Wolverley and sadly have just put it away for the winter, We would like to give a huge thank you to Carol and Mike Aspery, and their assistants for looking after us and our caravan for the 5th year, always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Looking forward to next season Merry Christmas to those now starting their winter break.

Good location - easy to reach many local towns and atteactions. Facilities are well maintained and modern, however there is no club or restaurant only a small shop. Most of the site is on a gentle slope. We were initially ill-advised as to where to place our tent, and having completed pitching were told it was too close to our neighbours and (politely) asked to move, which was annoying to say the least. Be advised there is no facility to freeze your own blocks - you must rent frozen blocks for a £1 deposit per block, plus 50p each for each renewal - which is expensive. There is some persistent local road and train noise - though this is bearable we found. but parts of the site are very wind-exposed - lacking natural barriers such as hedges Overall an enjoyable, professionally run site.

We were delighted to read some of the reviews of this site before we went to Hereford for our 3 night trip in August and on arrival we were not dissapointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pitch was perfect and located not too far from the shower/toilet facility. The site itself was very well kept and not too far away from the town of Ledbury where we were able to get supplies when needed. The chippy van on Wednesday was very popular, of course, we had to try it out. The local Cider is, as you would expect for Herefordshire, excellent and we would recommend a visit into Hereford itself to the beutiful cathedral and the Mappa Mundi. Will be definatly going back in the spring.

We have stayed at Mill Pond on several Occasions for the fishing and the lovely area which it's in. The pitches are spread all round the site some hard standing some grass the site is kept in good order the grass cut water/grey water areas are tidy no rubbish left around, the toilet/shower blocks are kept clean and well maintaned. There are dish washing facilities washing/drying machines and a helpfull amont of information about places to see things to do. On the site they offer food nights ie curry nights fish & chips so you dont have to drive out if you dont want to cook. The shop on site sells bread milk ect also some fishing equipment. the wardens on this site are friendly, helpful and cheerful. There is good walks for dogs on site also a nice walk round the lake. From the site walking up on to the main Hereford road there are buses to Hereford and Ledbury, in the car Eastnor castle is not far away there are plenty of places to visit.
We always enjoy our time at The Mill Pond and will be returning again soon it is a site to be recommended.

This was our final stop out of our 7 site road trip and a Very good site, For the past two weeks we had stayed mostly at site next to Lochs and Lakes so for 2 weeks were had the sound of water but here Silence, we didn't know what to do, Children were playing, people were sitting and chatting but the site was very quiet. So after 2 weeks this was the perfect finish.
The shower block was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and helpful. Surrounding area is very well maintained and overall just a very good site.
WE took our two boys to Eastnor Castle and had a great time. (A most visit).

Excellent site which is very clean and well kept. The staff are always very helpful & friendly. Fish & chip and Curries vans come during the week and events organised by the staff. Nice fishing lake with plenty of fish although I failed to land any!
Plenty to do nearby including canoeing on the Wye, cycling in the Forest of Dean & horse riding. There are also loads of places to visit like Ledbury & Hereford.
Our only complaint was that the showers were to hot for the kids but on mentioning this as we were leaving, we were told that this was EEC regs but to use the family room next time as this has an adjustable shower. Would highly recommend this site and we will be back again.

This was the second visit which my wife and I had made to the site. Both times were excellent. Easy access, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, good sized pitches and (because it's a franchise and not locked into the club wifi agreement) FREE WIFI. I only wish that the rest of the club sites could ditch the rip-off 'paid for' wifi and go free like Hereford have. In the 21st century, many of us need to use our email, even when on holiday and rip-off charges are annoying, to say the least. Anyway, rant over, go to Hereford, it's a great site.

July 2011 was our second successive year at this site. Last year we were struck by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the tranquil beauty of the site itself. This year the site was just as beautiful and the staff seemed more like friends than staff. We initially chose to reurn because last year we ran out of time to do the local visits we wanted. This year we found so much more on offer that we still haven't satisfactorily explored the area. Hereford and Worcester are the two most prominent attractions but the area abounds in castles, stately homes and gardens all vying for attention. There's so much to see and do within a short drive of the site that it would be easy to book a pitch for a month and then concoct a varied programme of local visits. Even then some local attractions would end up being squeezed out. Besides it's extremely handy position for day tours the site itself is a truly lovely place to sit and unwind. Even a confirmed non-angler (that'd be me then!) found it immensely rewarding just to amble round the lake spotting the wildlife. The heron and the buzzards were personal highlights. The only downside of this site is that it's such a sad place to leave. on the other hand that does offer a pretty compelling reason in my book for future returns. Bill, Lynn, Paul and Sally, thank you for running such a delightful site in such a friendly way. Many thanks for two memorable visits and here's hoping that more can be arranged in the future.

If you have already been there you are aware of the execelent facilties on site,if you have not the toilet block, laundry and shop are the best we have visited in our 30 years of camping and caravan, set in lovely countryside they have a lake with excellent fishing, and within the last few months just under amile away a Health Club has just opened with a gym, excercise classes and swimming etc, they also have a driving range for golfers and shortly a golf course is opening. Entrance to all this can be arranged from the site reception. They really have ticked all the boxes at Hereford.

Excellent site around 7 miles east of Hereford. Railway runs along north boundary of site so expect some noise from trains but generally quiet at night. Site not too busy when visited so no problems with toilets/showers, but this might not be the case when the site is full as the facilities block seemed a little small. Chemical disposal unit a little crude but OK.

Just had a wonderfully relaxing 3 night stay at Hereford Club site. Beautiful site - flowers everywhere! Only one shower/toilet block but not too far away from wherever your pitch is. Very clean and lovely attention to detail with cotton buds, tissues, cotton wool etc in ladies toilets. Never had to wait for a shower and very well thought out. Separate shower enclosures with glass doors instead of curtains, as well as changing areas which remained dry - a great set-up. Lovely fishing lake which the children took advantage of at every opportunity, as well as chickens and ducks wandering around the lake. Will definitely return soon!

Excellent site that we would happily return to again. All staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Facilities kept immaculately clean (scored a 5) but, I'm afriad, only scored a 4 in terms of the limited number of showers and toilets. In mid or low season I am sure these are more than adequate but in high season there is quite a queue first thing in the morning. Perhaps the moral of the story is just to stay in bed a little longer!

The amount of thought that has gone into this site should be rewarded as it more than makes up for all the 'gaps' in provision I have experienced at other clubs sites as a newish member.
Facilities are attractive giving privacy with little basins in the loos, plus radio playing covers a multitude of sounds! Laundry has Bosch machines with domestic cycles meaning your clothes come out rinsed properly. The shop has gluten free cakes on sale-5 stars! What a welcome we got the staff were the most accommadating we have ever experienced. The site itself was very well laid out and exceptionallly clean. The toilet facilities equally so but could do with more than one hand dryer and more than one shaver point in the gents,(hence the reason for 4 stars). My wife has also mentioned it would be better to have a small shelf in the cubicles in the ladies. What a good idea to have toilets cleaned at a sensible time all sites take note as most seem to clean toilets when people are vacating site at 11/12ish which to me is not suitable. We would have no problem returning as the welcome alone was worth the fee.

If you want a peaceful, relaxed, stress free holiday this is a place to go. Very friendly staff with nothing being too much trouble. Super clean and well maintained toilet and shower block. Everyone on the site that we spoke to rated it very highly. If you like fishing then there is an added bonus with a beautiful lake stocked with some amazing fish. If you are not experts like us then take some advice from Brian, the water baliff. He strolls around the lake a few times every day and always makes time for a chat ...he became our 'teacher' providing tips on how to improve and they worked. After spending 9 nights there we recommend this site very highly. A truly Gold Star experience. All credit to Bill and Lynn,(the owners) and Paul, Sally, Dean and Angela for impressing us the way they did. We'll be back.

What a lovely, lovely site! The facilites are second to none, well kept and spotlessly clean - there were even cotton buds, tissues, hand cream & face pads provided FOC in the ladies! Our two labradors throughly enjoyed the wooded dog walk (plenty of dog bins too). There is a fish & chip van which calls twice a week and a curry night! The free WiFi was an added bonus which worked extremely well. Plenty of local attractions, Eastnor Castle sticks in our minds as we could take the dogs into the castle! There are also plenty of English Heritage sites to visit within travelling distance. We will definately be back!

This is by far the best site we have stayed at. JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!
My visit to this site was nothing short of wonderful,it was my first time out on my own well with me dog mollie since my wife died and i was unsure how it would feel well from the moment i arrived (in the rain) i was made to feel welcome the staff were friendly and helpful.
The site and facilities were immaculate but most of all i appreciated the peace and quite and of course, walking the dog around the site meeting lots of fellow campers this site is certainly one to visit again.
PS I forgot to mention the great chilli and curry and cod and chips nights.

We've been in the club for 27 years and this is by far the best site we've ever found. Friendliness of staff, helfulness, facilities and cleanliness are all exceptional. Local produce for sale in the shop was wonderful, as was the fish and chips. Although we don't fish, we enjoyed some lovely walks around the lake and Herefordshire is a beautiful county. This site sets the standard all Camping and Caravanning Club sites should aspire to!

Brilliant site, clean, tidy and relaxing. Very friendly staff and some nice touches such as the opportunity to hire swing ball and bbq's. Free Wi Fi was a bonus. What a wonderful site, great pitches and super friendly staff. Free WiFi a plus. 10 out 10 Hereford we will definitely be coming back! I'm not a fisherman but this is a great place for fishing and all sorts of wildlife. With Ledbury and Hereford within easy reach this is great site for both exploring and just relaxing.

Stayed for 4 nights in May, this was our first visit to The Millpond, and without a doubt its the best site we have been to so far. Staff are brilliant, very friendly and always there if you need any advice.
The showers and toilets are 5* absoulutely spotless, showers are nice and warm. There are 2 seperate apartments for your shower, a changing room then the actual shower that is partitioned off with a glass door so none of your belongings get wet, a great thought out idea.
Fishing is excellent, the pool and surrounding area are spotless and very well cared for.
We liked it so much we have booked a week for July before we left.
Cant` wait until we return.

The site was easy to find and the welcome very friendly when we arrived. The facilities were first class and spotless. Despite being full as it was Easter, the site was never noisy and always quiet late at night. There was a trainline running behind part of the site and, despite a faily regular service, this did not intrude upon the peacefulness of the site. We do not fish but the lake seemed quite a good size and was always busy. The area was good for touring and the countryside was England at its best. We would return and not hesitate to recommend a visit to anyone.

Having first discovered this gem of a site in June 2009 and had one of our most relaxing holidays ever, we returned in June 2010 this time with 19yr old son in tow who was most impressed. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather each year. Bill & Lyn and their team couldn't have been more helpful. The site is so clean & well kept and the lake is superb even though we do not fish. Photgraphic opportunities abound in this beautiful and relaxing county. We even travelled to the Red Kite centre at Rhayader. Wow.
Apart from Keswick & Hayfield this is the only site we have visited more than once as we all love to discover new places. Just now trying to decide whether to come for a 3rd time or whether to try yet another new site this June.

Friendly helpful staff on this large site with nearly new facilities make this an attractive destination.
Fishing is available on site, while the fish and chip van calls at a weekend!
We were impressed by the attention to detail such as the draining racks provided for washing dishes.
As keen cyclists we were a little disappointed in that there were no traffic free routes in the immediate vicinity, although there are quiet minor roads in one direction from the site. Armed with an ordnance survey map, you can pick out safe enough routes, but you will probably have to spend at least some time on an A road. There is an interesting circular (poorly signposted) route around nearby Ledbury, but that too ends on a major road.
The area is very attractive with many orchards and pretty villages around.
Top marks for the site, we would use it again.

Have stayed on this site for long weekend fishing breaks prior to Bill & Lyn. We were fortunate to be there the weekend they took over and heard their plans for the future. We eagerly returned the following year for a 2 week stay and were delighted & surprised at the improvements they had made in such a short time. They made us feel very welcome & comfortable so much so that we have returned again and again for 1 & 2 weeks at a time. We are always delighted with the improvements they make, thanks to themselves and their excellent, friendly staff. We so enjoy the fishing, the friendly dog walk, relaxing countryside and the varied places to visit, all within easy reach. We would definately recomend a visit here.

This was our first experience of camping and we couldn't have picked a better site. The welcome we received was so warm and friendly it was like visiting old friends. The site itself is impeccably maintained, and the showers etc, were very clean and well kept.
It was a shame we picked a weekend under a weather warning for wind and rain! But we had great fun.

Certainly the most welcoming site we have ever been on. Staff attitude superb.
Two negatives:-
1) The site roads are in very poor condition. A quarry waste base which, when wet, transfers dirt into both caravans, tents & washing facilities. Coupled with substantial pot-holes these represent the worst site roads experienced on a quality site.
2) No washing cubicles. Privacy in old age is desirable!
Nevertheless - would go again - but please attend to the site roads.

We recieved a warm welcome from the very friendly helpful staff. The site is immaculate, the toilets even have complimentary hand cream and cotton wool buds etc.
On Mondays you can order a curry to be delivered from the local pub before 4pm and it will arrive at 6.45pm. My husband had three excellent days fishing and even managed to land a 16lbs carp on a pole which is his personal best.
We had our two dogs with us and there is a lovely wooded dogs walk that circles the whole site with plenty of dog poo bins. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times so if your dog needs a run you will have to go off site.
We will certainly be returning to this lovely site.

Fabulous fishing, many many double figure fish and they've been well cared for, sensible rules in place as well. If you fish you really need to go here, its unbeatable.
The wardens / owners/baliffs were fabulous, the place was immaculate and a delight. My only complaint is that I hadnt found it sooner, cant wait to go back. Puts other sites in the shade by a long way.
I fish 3 times a week around North Wales, Wirral and Cheshire and the fishing pales into insignificance compared to The Millpond.
Best holiday in many many years. Thank you very much.
