Brilliant weekend with our grandson. Wardens were very welcoming and made a fuss of our Charlie. We could choose where we wanted to pitch and the facilities were first class and scrupulously clean. Perfect for the theme park. We will return very shortly. Highly recomended

Wow this is the best campsite we have stayed at for facilities and how site was kept. Lovely huge hot showers, family cubicles, family room all spotless everytime. Friendly wardens who like children and measured them so they could tell them which rides they could go on. Nice play park and field for football. Plenty to do outside of campsite, stayed an extra 2 nights didn't want to come home. Def visit again.

This site is one of the best we have ever been to Julian and Sheila are wonderful wardens and have made the site fantastic . The play park on site is great for children and hours spent hours there despite the cold.
The shower block is always spotlessly clean but freezing cold as there is no heating for some unknown reason :( Had there have been I would have given the site 5 stars across the board .
Lots of improvements on site since our visit last year.
Drayton Manor park is a short walk away but you are not far from the national Arboretum and the National Forest .
Thank you again to the wardens and assistant warden for a lovely stay

What a great site and fantastic staff. My 11 year old son and I arrived on the friday eve in a slight snow shower when we woke up sat morn my son was so excited "look dad look " he said deep snow all arround us. We had such fun on the site playing in the snow. The staff keep an eye on us asking us if we were ok every now and then. On the sunday we were not going to get off the pitch with our car so the warden called security on site and they pulled us off with their 4 x 4 fantastic. We will be going back very soon. Special thanks to the wardens.

brilliant - stayed for weekend with my 2 youngest boys, my friend and 2 dogs. wished i could have stayed for longer. they were so friendly, even lending me a car charger inflator. the only drawback was the ground was very hard and i broke quite a few tentpegs trying to pitch the tent, but this is nitpicking. the amenities were very good and the introduction of a park was a godsend for me and the kids. dog walks were good, but i cant walk far due to disabilities. the staff were very friendly and helpful. nothing was too much trouble for them, even assisting me in finding my 2 yr old son who had wandered off. (he loved playing in the toilets, the rotter :-)). fantastic stay will definitely be rebooking next year. the theme park isnt too far away and the noise of the rides doesnt interfere in any way shape or form. they get turned off quite early in the evening so it really isnt a problem. would definitely recommend it to anyone. fab site and people

Just got back from a long weekend at Drayton Manor campsite. Had a fantastic weekend, got a lovely welcome from the staff, campsite lovely and clean. the showers and toilets are spotless, the only thing was they are not heated which in November it was very cold. We would definately go back to the campsite, it is so close to Drayton Manor and Tamworth town center, the Snowdome. there is so much to do. Well worth a visit.

The first time we have stayed at a camping and caravanning club. We are so glad we have signed up as members. Julian and Sheila are the nicest genuine people ever to of met. The campsite facilities are outstanding. The wardens cannot do enough to help - thank you. They are so friendly and made our experience to Drayton Manor even more unforgettable than we thought it would be.
Facilities were exceptionally clean and having 3 children you need this.

Our first C&CC experience as visitors and we were so impressed that we joined the Club.
We had the friendliest welcome imaginable and all weekend the warden and his assistants would engage us in conversation and offer us advice on where to go and things to do. They always had a friendly wave and a smile when they passed. They are truly a credit to the Club.
We were parked on hardstanding right next to a water and waste point. The facilities block was immaculate at all times of the day with huge shower cubicles (approximately 6 in both the ladies and the gents). There was plenty of hot water but some heating in the block itself would have been nice.
The Grill restaurant at Drayton Manor gives a 10% discount to campers staying at the site and the restaurant at the hotel gives 20% discount.
A 15/20 minute stroll around the back of the Drayton Manor zoo takes you to the main road where you can catch the bus into Tamworth. It takes about 10 minutes by bus to the town centre and a taxi back cost us just under £6. There are some nice bars and restaurants so it was nice not to have to take the car. Fazeley village itself had several restaurants and take aways too and they will deliver to the site so there is no shortage of options if you don't feel like cooking.
We were attending the Caravan Show at the NEC which is approximately 20 minutes away by car.
We wouldn't hesitate to visit this site again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Visited the site the end of August with a group of friends. Good level grassy areas for tents that were very well maintained. The facilities and site very clean, the staff very friendly and polite,. Even though the site gets busy at weekend with people staying there for the Theme Park, the facilities are always found clean and staff always having time for you.. Will definately revisit the site again with family members.

As an infrequent camper, I was not expecting much at all, however I couldn't have been more surprised! The site facilities seemed quite new, were excellent and spotless. Best of all, was the warm, friendly and helpful welcome from the site's managers (Julian & Sheila Harrison). Any organisation can throw money around and create a campsite, but it takes good people like these, to maintain it and make your stay pleasureable. Thank you both!

MASSIVE shower cubicles, family washroom, laundrette, think its posibly the best ive stayed in this year!!!! Makes all the difference when the small things are taken care of *****
As for drayton manor theme park :-( we went in at 10am, left at 6:30pm and went on about 5 rides....the queues where ridiculous... We had a 2yr old and a8 yr old and we where queingover 40 mins per ride....Thomas land!!!! We couldnt even get into it, it was crammed!!! I think they let way to many people in, so next time think we ll stay on the campsite :-) x x

Had a really enjoyable stay last week. We booked 2 nights at short notice and didn't really know what to expect as we haven't been camping much before.
Good points:
+ Very friendly and welcoming staff
+ Clean shower/toilet blocks
+ Good flat grass which made it easy to pitch our tent
+ Nice atmosphere and plenty of space around the tents (not crammed in)
+ Very close to the theme park, but out of the way enough to not be in the hustle and bustle.
Bad points:
- No electric points in the shower blocks for the girlfriend's straighteners. Fairly minor, but would be a nice addition.
- Quite expensive for a non member.
- The theme park itself (which is the reason most people will stay here) was pretty rubbish and was disappointing.

Super site, facilities and welcome.
Make sure you use the satnav postcode (NOT the postal postcode).
Very modern, clean, light toilet and shower block - free showers, hairdryers, copious hot water. Flat pitches, friendly staff.
If I had to pick nits - there is some road/wildlife noise at night.

Just back from a stay at this campsite and i could not fault it. We drove from Scotland to go to the theme park and it is literally a 3 minute walk from the caravan site, the staff extremely helpful and pleasant and the shower/toilet block is very clean, the showers are huge. The site is very well laid out and is neat and tidy, the only thing is there are no swings etc for kids but think this may be added soon. Would certainly come back.

Our stay here was superb, it started off with a great friendly welcome from the site manager and his wife, who was very helpful throughout our stay. The pitches were level and all very spacious. Very short walk to Drayton manor Theme Park which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Central to several other attractions, Twycross Zoo, Kingsbury water park, Leicester National Space centre and many others. Toilets and shower block were clean and very spacious. Play equipment was just turning up as we left which will give the kids more to do on site. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend to all.

Immaculately clean toilet and shower block which is excellent for children as the cubicles are very genorous. The site itself is a little plain with little trees or other features but I would imagine as this is a new site this will change overtime. There is no play park for children however there is a large field for children to play ball games in etc. As the name suggests it is very close to the theme park which is the reason most people will visit. Great for families and kids (young & old).

Fabulous clean and friendly site. Pitches were level and well maintained. Although there was no park, my 2 and 5 year old girls were not bored. There were lots of green areas for them to ride their bikes and scooters. Also the site was small and friendly enough for them to make friends and be safe all playing together. Great instant warm showers and family room which is a god send. A 10 minute walk to Drayton Manor park itself. Could even pop back to the campsite to make lunch if you wanted. There was also a great Chinese which delivers for £1, so we didn't have to cook after an exhausting day on the rides. Lovely owners who made you feel welcome and at home. I will definitely recommend this site, and will be going back myself.

Really fantastic campsite, very helpful, really friendly.
We took our family for the weekend, 2 adults, 4 year old & 18month old., then we had guests come for a night, 2adults, 4, 6,8 year olds and it was brilliant for all of us.
Everything was so clean, which was a nice change.
Had a little shop for essentials.
Would really recommend to everybody to go. We will defentley be returning.
Oh and even though the theme park is a short walk away, you can not really hear anything apart from distant screams on one ride.
Only tiny little down sides, 1st was when we got there we wasn't told that the campsite got closed off at night, we got there late, and my husband nipped out to the shops at 10.45pm while it wAs raining very heavily, and on his return at 11.15pm it was padlocked up so no veichals could leave or enter, to which the manager said it doesn't open till 7am and said there was a sign that states that- the sign was very small on the way out and when my husband went out it was late at night and raining heavily so didn't see the sign so I think they should inform you of that when you arrive in person.
2nd thing was there was no park for the children, but as I understand that will be sorted soon.
Overall 5*******, great campsite.

I think that if you have managed to read the rest of the reviews written here about this site there really isn't anything else I can say. Everything about the site was absolutely 5 star. The site manager and his staff were amazingly polite and helpful. The facilities are the best I have seen, and the fact that it is a 5 minute walk from Drayton Manor, with it's numerous fun rides, well what more could a family want or need. There is loads to do around the area (we would recommend Plantasia, The castle gardens in Tamworth, RAF Cosford (Free museum) and of course Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. This site will be even better when the proposed childrens play area is started and finished. Definately be returning to this site.

What a fantastic weekend we have just had. We really can't thank the staff enough for making us so very welcome. We stayed here in early July, before the school holidays. There were a couple of tents, a few motorhomes and a few caravans, so it was really quiet. Being right beside Drayton Manor Theme Park I imagine it could get really busy. But the facilities are superb. Plenty of toilets and showers, a big laundry room and a huge washing up area (that is under cover. All were spotlesss. Our pitch was the first really level pitch we've had. It made a huge difference - doors didn't keep swinging shut and water went down the plug hole quickly! All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. All you can see of the theme park is the top of a roller coaster and the noise was not intrusive. Rides closed at 5p.m so the eveing was really quiet. We visited the theme park and also Twycoss Zoo which is not far away. All in all, it was a really first class experience and I thoroughly recommend it. If you go to the theme park, take a handful of pound coins for the side shows... shooting ranges, hoop-las etc. We'r 60 this year and we found plenty to do - the zoo is lovely too.

This is the first time we have camped on a CCC site having camped for years and furthermore joined as a member and was sumwhat apprehensive. Wow all our fears were quelled within minutes of arrival. The wind was howling and the rain was lashing but the greeting from the mamagers was so warm and friendly and very informative. We were led to our grass pitch very spaceous and flat with views of the park the hardstanding pitches were also immaculate and looked to be of a good size too. The facilities are the best we have ever had red hot water all weekend, huge shower cubicles with dry bench space and an ample amount of toilets always spotlessly clean, family shower rooms & disabled facilities available too. The well stocked laundry room was just brilliant. They have a play area on order to complete the site. It is only a 2 minute walk into the park so could pop back to the tent for lunch had we wanted to, stopped into the reception/shop for an icecream on the way back before we lit the BBQ and were greeted by name which was so nice. There was a rally of CCC District Govenors on site at the same time who offered us much needed help to put up the tent in the wind and rain then gave us a very helpfull chat with lots of CCC information and advice on future events sites to got to and info to read on how to get the best out of the CCC (Thanks to you all, hope to meet you again). We had a good giggle when packing away listening to the screams and laughter from the rides and remembering the rides we had been on the day before. On the whole it has been a fantastic trip we would and will reccomend this to others and will be back thanks

It was nice and quiet in the evening and you couldnt really tell that you where next to drayton manor park during the day. We loved our stay so much that we are looking to book again for next year once we know the school term times. I would reccomend this park to anyone who wants a nice break as there is plenty to do around the area within driving distance.

We stayed at Drayton Manor from Thursday 23rd May2012 until Sunday 26th( we was up for a family wedding)I can honestly say the both the manager and their assitances were just so helpful we stayed another day they went out of their way to make sure we had enough seats for our 15 guests nothing was to much trouble
so if you are going through that way pop in you will not go wrong

My concerns about staying near a noisy Theme Park were completely unfounded. My stay at the Drayton Manor camp site ended up being on hottest weekend in May and I thought it might be a bit chaotic and noisy, it was neither of these, it was great.
The welcome by the site managers was very friendly and informative. The site has plenty of grass and there are good sized level hard standing pitches. The shop has all the essentials and the spotless facilities are fantastic with plenty of loos, massive shower cubicles, washing cubicles and a laundry and information room.
The camp site is set away from the theme park in a large gently sloping, field. I had no interest in visiting the Theme Park but still found plenty to do from the site. I could see a bit of roller coaster ride and hear the happy sound of people having fun, not distracting and it didn’t annoy me. The Theme Park closed at 5:00pm when I was there, after that there was hardly a sound, except the buzzards overhead.
The grounds of Drayton Manor have some nice walks around the 'Duck Decoy' lakes and just outside the park is the Birmingham Fazeley Canal where you can cycle or walk further afield or visit the RSPB Reserve at Middleton.

We have come back from this site today after our first caravan break. The staff greeted us warmly and gave us all the information we needed.
As it was our first time, Julian (the site manager) gave us great advice- anything from parking the caravan, putting up our new awning and camping with teenagers!
We had 4 teenage boys with us and they were welcomed and guided to a place where they could play football without being a bother to anyone.
The site itself was well maintained, well run and the amenities were spotless.
Its a great place to stay when visiting the theme park and really handy that we could go in and out of the park as we pleased.
I would encourage anyone to visit this site, it was a great way to start our caravan adventures and we really look forward to going back there.

This was our first visit to a Friendly Club site since taking up a membership earlier this year and we loved it! We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival and indeed right throughout our 3 night stay. The facilities were spotless and attended regularly and the shop was able to provide us with everything that we needed. The local fish bar is not to be missed but their portions were a bit on the large side so might be worth bearing in mind. Access to the Theme Park was extremely handy allowing us to spend two full jam-packed days at Thomas Land which the kids, 7 & 4 are still raving about! We have already recommended this site to several of our friends and fully intend to revisit at some point. Thank You.

This was our first ever visit as members to a CCC site as a couple, although we have both been on many a camping holiday with our families in our younger years. The Drayton Manor site, facilities and staff are all some of the best either of us had ever been to or met. When we arrived, the manager remembered me calling to check availability the day before, was very helpful, and we were always greeted with friendly faces throughout our stay. The facilities were always clean and the site was well maintained throughout. Big pitches, the dull roar of roller coasters and mainly joyful (!) screaming during the day, and blissful peace and quiet in the evening and through the night. A small shop with the essentials, some lovely walks, dog friendly, good local takeaways and site managers and assistants who couldn't do enough for you meant we had a wonderful weekend!

Lovely site, short walk to the theme park and zoo, fab family day out. You can hear the squeals from one of the roller coasters, but not invasive and all over by 5.30pm. Really quiet, the nearest town and pub are walkable but this is a good walk not a short stroll! fab outdoor psace for kids to run around and play. Would be perfect if site had a play area with swings, slide etc to keep the young ones occupied.

Because it is new and the finishing touches to the landscaping are yet to be completed the site looks a bit stark. Once mature I am sure it will be lovely. The toilet block was spotless, nice large showers and plenty of hot water too. We struggled to fit a van (20ft nose to tail) plus full awning and car onto the hardstanding. The awning is fairly deep and sat on the edge of the gravel boards and grass, not ideal for pegs.
The staff were very cheerful and friendly. I would highly recommend this site.

Fantastic site that has only been open as a CC&C site for 3 weeks .
The toilet block is the best that we have seen on a campsite with plenty of hot water .
Everything is well sign posted and clear .
The shop on site is small but has all the essentials that you may need .
The Hard standings are very goos with plenty of room for large units and awnings .
I was pleasantly surprised by how little noise there was on site given its location .
Wardens and assisatnt wardens are all very friendly :)
We will be returning in the future as its a great site in a great location .

A new site in an ideal location for both the thrills of Drayton Manor (a two-minute walk to entry gate 2) and Tamworth and all its attractions.
Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The site is spotlessly clean, easily accessible for large motorhomes and, by the looks of things, decent-sized caravans as well.
A great site, properly run.

This campsite is fantastic! The price was very reasonable. The showers and toilets were spotless and there were plenty of them. You are not charged for the use of the shower. It is within walking distance to the park. In the evening as the park is closed it was lovely to take a walk around the lake and feed the ducks. Was also fun that you can see and hear the roller coaster nearby and hear the people screaming. This wasnt too late or early. I went in June 2010 and the site wasn't busy. You have security driving by now and then. I was really pleased overall. Am planning on camping there this year and really hope it is still up to the high standard as last time. 10/10
