Myself and my husband have just had a 2 night break at this site and we both thoroughly enjoyed it...we are new to caravaning and when we made the site aware of this they offered a spot where we could drive straight on to so we did not have to reverse the van, all the staff at the site were friendly and helpful, showed us where everything was and explained where to go to walk to the watermark which was only a short walk aware, even thought the weather was not the best we did not let this ruin our holiday, we went walking and found a nice put just off the canal where we were also made to feel welcome, even though we did not eat there the food looked and smelt lovely this pub was called the dog and doublet, we will definitely be revisiting this site

Just returned from a lovely stay at Kingsbury. Quiet site even though it's very close to the M42, we didn't experience any road disturbance. The facilities are in good condition and very clean. There is a small childrens play area which our son enjoyed even though it was very cold. Perfectly placed for visiting local attractions, Cadbury World is ok, Black Country Living Museum is great, also very close to the NEC.
We walked down the towpath to the local pub, which was welcoming, good basic pub food, big portions, very nice. Easy walk even with a 5 year old. The canal, lakes, playgrounds and walks all around make it a lovely area to stay in.
We would definitely return.

What a great place to camp. Loads to see and do in hundreds of acres of country park with about 15 lakes. The water park has a narrow guage railway, sailing, pedalo hire, cycling, walking, fishing, bird hides, an outdoor adventure facility and more. A walk along the canal takes you to Middleton Hall and an RSPB reserve. All this and only a short drive from Birmingham, the NEC and all that a big city has to offer. I received a warm and friendly, Camping and Caravan Club, welcome from the site team who always seemed to be busy keeping the site clean and tidy. The facilities on site are great with large powerful showers, an endless supply of hot water, and were always clean during my stay. . I've stayed here several times and always look forward to coming back.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the Caravan show at the NEC. Access road is single track and a bit twisty but not too difficult. Easy access to M42 and M6. Good clean site with large level pitches. We chose hard standing and were pleased as the grass parts were starting to get a bit churned up. Decent play area for the children and excellent clean washrooms. An ideal site for us to explore the surrounding area. Would use again.
New to caravaning. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Great site - nice break.
SUITABLE FOR: Families
booked this site to spend a few days on our way home and what a joy it was .Having stayed on a couple of caravan club sites the week before how nice it was to get back to the camping clubs freindly and helpfull wardens. They work so hard here to keep things very tidy and clean and to make your stay pleasent you are all stars .The site is very flat busy when we was there but never felt overfull beautiful walks around the lakes just off site and a fantastic activity centre across the road for families .Will be going back for sure

This site took us in at a moments notice after bad weather at another CCC site, and were so incredibly helpful and friendly about it. The pitch we were given was perfect, the grass was well maintained [Silly, but when you're sleeping on the floor, fluffy grass is a must!] and the facilities were spotless. The site staff were pleasant and the area is stunning. Yes, there is some very mild road noise but we barely noticed it. Very family friendly but also lovely for a relaxing break.
DATE STAYED: September 2012
We stayed here for 5 nights. It was our first experience of a C&C site and we were not disappointed at all. We were immediately welcomed and asked if we had a preference of where on the site we would like to be. We were then given a choice of pitches and we pitched in front of the playground which was fabulous for us with a son aged 9. Staff and other campers were very friendly even to the extent of giving us a bungee when we couldn't find ours to hook the bike onto the bike rack when we were leaving (thank you James' grandad). Nearly all children had their bikes so we were pleased we took our sons.
The facilities eg. showers, toilets and dishwashing room always had hot water and were very clean.
We enjoyed fishing on the ponds in Kingsbury Waterpark and caught fish every time we went (not bad for beginners). Note - Some permits can be purchased from the site warden. The nearest fishing tackle shop is in Kingsbury.
We ate out a couple of nights at the Dog and Doublet which was very nice an also reasonable. I'd recommend a visit to the Snowdrome, pricey for the snow based activities but has a lovely swimming pool. Also a must try is the mini railway.
There is loads of wildlife around the site which is nice however being near the ponds there are lots of midgies so take repellent and after bite cream.
As per previous reviews have said the motorway is quite close therefore can be heard but on a positive a very easy site to find.
Overall a lovely site and we will be returning.
We only stayed at the site for 3 nights, but had a very pleasant stay. Facilities were clean and tidy. Would say this site was a good base for family's with children as lots to do in area.
Please take insect repellant got some nasty bites as did most people. If you don't have kids as to be away from playground.
We will be coming back

Went to Kingsbury Water Park last September and my review was less than complimentary. So with some trepidation we thought we would give it another try this year, if only for a few days. Well what a difference a year makes. To us it was like a different site, the staff were very friendly and attentive and always seemed busy. The toilet blocks were spotless and to the usual standard that we have come to expect from a C&CC site. It had been exceptionally wet the few weeks before we went, so not all the site was open, so we opted for a hard ground pitch for our tent. The warden even told us the best way to peg it down on the wet ground. A camper van on the pitch opposite had got bogged down in the wet ground and the staff came out to help them. Once the van had gone the wardens came along and relayed the turf in the damaged areas.
We are so glad that we didn’t let our first experience ruin it for us – this year was excellent and we would now recommend this site to anyone – Well done to all the staff that have obviously worked very hard over the past year.

Not quite sure why anyone has a problem with this site in any shape or form ........it's beautiful and fantastic and the staff bend over backwards to help and the shower blocks are the best in the ccc sites
DATE STAYED: July 2012
We had a fantastic stay at Kingsbury this year, staff were very helpful, the site was beautifully clean, and the kids had a brilliant time in the play area.
We will definitely be back next year.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Active break,Peaceful break
Just arrived back. Arrived with some trepidation, due to the previous weeks weather. However, our week was fantastic
On arriving met be lovely warm welcome from reception staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They managed to pitch is next to our friends (who had a caravan)
We were escorted to our pitch and offered assistance if we needed it.
The site was a great place to be based. Drayton Manor, Cadbury World, Conkers (waste of money) etc
The shop was not always open, but if a member of staff was around they would open it for you
Great holiday, extended it by a day. The kids had a great time, while the adults relaxed around the nightly BBQ. Sad to leave.
Would throughly recommend this site. We will be back
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Active break,Peaceful break
Thanks to all the Staff enjoyed Two weeks Vacation with my Grandchildren.
Well recomended site.
We had a very enjoyable time, despite the torrential rain, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Now for the downside.
The new hard standing pitches are lower than the grass surrounding them, so, therefore, several had up to three inches of water in them. We were lucky and our pitch did not flood but other people were not so lucky. This problem needs addressing quickly to prevent people’s property being damaged.
The other thing that this site does not do is recycle waste. Being a resident of north Warwickshire I know that the local council does recycle both plastic, metal, paper and cardboard.
The site is very well maintained and when we visited the rain had been torrential for a number of days, and remained much the same throughout our stay. The wardens immediatly changed us from grass to hardstanding and worked tirelessly to accomodate visitors on the dry pitches that were available. They added further shingle to waterlogged hardstandings, towed careless visitors who strayed on to waterlogged grass areas, and were out daily repairing vehicle damage to the grass areas of the site that had not coped with vehicles crossing them.Full marks to all the wardens for making our stay pleasant despite the weather, and for going the extra mile to look after visitors and keep the site in good order given the extremely wet conditions prevailing.
One of the best sites weve been on
Excellent wardens and facilities.
spacious pitches, very clean facilities plenty to do in the area within walking distance.
Arrived in the middle of the monsoon season(English Summer) had gran kids and Sister in law plus 2 in a tent next to us on grass pitch.Usual friendly welcome and great assistance in chosing a good pitch for both of us. Facilities great,Drayton Manor nearby for kids lots of good walks for dogs. noise from Motorway nearby can be distracting.Good for a family break.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Groups,Active break
I liked this site flat with nice grass hard standing and good facilities.
The access road is a little narrow and also serves a car park for bird watchers and a activity place so in summer could be a bit awkward to navigate.
Good place too walk dogs, do a bit of bird watching or fishing.
The down side is its close to M42 so that can be intrusive and you do get the odd plane fly over too
DATE STAYED: March 2012
First time we've visited Kingsbury Water Park and it won't be our last! Level site. Immaculately clean. Spacious pitches. Friendly helpful staff. Could not fault this site at all. Plenty of walking along the canal or around the many lakes which are just yards from the site. Buy the water park map(50p)from reception.
DATE STAYED: April 2012
We have been visiting Kingsbury Campsite now for approx 6 years & visit numerous times throughout the year, as it is a beautiful site, with great facilities, lovely walks, fishing lakes, the local pub (Dog & Doublet) serves great food, and offers a friendly welcome. However we have just come back from a 10 day visit which both shocked & annoyed us at how the site has changed. 5 mph speed limit is no longer the case to a high volume of visitors, cleaning of site facilities was as and when & not the specified times, children seem to play ball in front caravans, running around peoples caravans having no respect for other people. Children ride around the toilet blocks & play inside the family room, at the end of the day a park is provided for the children to play safely in. We have a daughter of our own and we have always respected other peoples privacy. Even adults now tend to cut through the caravans to take a short cut. Supposed to be visiting again in May hopefully regulations will be back to normal. Rules & Regulations are put in place for a reason, come on campers abide by them.
We have just come back from a 9 night stay at this site. we use it several times a year as it is quite local to us. We were disappointed in this last stay for a few reasons. we did not see the wardens once we had booked in, except for when they were doing their daily duties. no one obeyed the 5 mile an hour speed limit, some driving quite fast, if a child had ran out in front of them i dread to think what could happen. children riding and playing around the toliet block were not pulled up about it. pitches with more than one car. adults and children walking and riding through pitches, ball games been played in between caravans. at one point we had around 6 children peering through our front window watching our tv. on our way back from an outing we saw one lad relieving himself up the water point - where are the parents when all this is going on and where are the 3 sets of wardens!!!!!!!
we are booked to go again soon as it is a lovely site but i think a few things need to be addressed. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE C&C UNIFORM!!!!!!!!!!
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups,Younger couples
Fantastic stay, really enjoyed it. Yes you can hear motorway noise but not to the extent it was annoying. Can't fault the cleanliness of the shower and toilet facilities. Nice hot showers and easy to use. Annoying when friends came to visit as car park is small and they weren't allowed to bring their car to our pitch, even though there was room. Would definitely recommend this site. Very flat for tents and large pitches.
SUITABLE FOR: Older couples,Groups,Peaceful break
We have just got back from having a lovely Easter Weekend. The wardens are a credit to the Camping and Caravan Club nothing is to much effort and they are very friendly.
My daughter loves the park and riding her bike around the park.
Cannot wait until we go again.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups,Peaceful break
As per other reviews cannot fault site at all. Well laid out, good access, very clean, excellent facilities! Stayed a couple of times in 2011 and always got less than friendly reception, but just returned from weekend on the site and wardens were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Only negative is the boiling hot showers, otherwise FAB site!!
DATE STAYED: February 2012
This site was absolutely immaculate. This is by far the cleanest site we have ever stayed on. The staff were friendly on arrival and very helpfull. The walks and cycle routes were lovely and peaceful. We will definitely be returning for another weekend.
DATE STAYED: January 2012
On arrival which was our first visit to the site the wardens were very friendly and helpful. The facalities at the site were excellent.Found the two days very peaceful enjoying the walks with the dog.
SUITABLE FOR: Peaceful break
This site was recommended to us and after reading various reviews thought we would try it. We were definitely not disappointed. We stayed 3 nights over the New Year and had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean. The location is ideal with plenty for the younger ones to do or simply take a stroll round the many lakes. You do get some noise from the nearby motorway but this did not bother us. We were so pleased with the site that we have booked to go again in April and this time our daughters and grandchildren are joining us. All in all a first class site which we would recommend to anyone.
DATE STAYED: December 2011

Friendly staff, excellent location for walking in the water park. Easy access to motorways.
The M42 can be heard if the wind is in the wrong direction but I can ignore that when staying in such a lovely location. This is our third visit this year and we will probably return in January.
DATE STAYED: October 2011
we have just returned from our second visit to this site, i have two children aged 7 & 11 who both love camping here, the site is very clean and well maintained and the staff are lovely!! we all look forward to visiting again next year!!x
Location couldn’t be easier, right next door to the M42. This being the case and the fact that it’s under the flight path for Birmingham Airport the noise was not a problem at all.
On arriving we didn’t seem to get the usual warm welcome that we have always got from C & CC sites in the past. We set out our footprint ground sheet exactly as told, only to be told by someone else to move it as we were too close to the next pitch. We got the impression that neither of them knew exactly what they were doing.
The pitch was quite a tight squeeze for our tent. Not a problem as we were next to family who had already been set up, however you would get to know your neighbours pretty well, as the pitches generally are quite small.
For such a large site we were quite surprised to find such a small camp shop which seemed to close as and when the staff fancied and only 6 male/female showers for the whole site, one male shower of which was out of order for 8 of our 9 nights.
We opted for a family room key as we have a 3 year old daughter, the room itself being the largest we have seen, the shower and cleanliness however being the worst. The shower was useless, with only a dribble of water of which we couldn’t adjust the temperature. The shower cubicle was mouldy with silicone sealant coming off in various places. That being said our daughter loved the Peppa Pig stickers on the wall.
In general the toilet facilities were not bad, just a bit mouldy in places.
On the Thursday a window had been shattered in the dish washing area next to reception, to our surprise it was still broken on the Sunday when we left. Due to the large amount of children on the sight we were surprised to see that this wasn’t mended.
In general a large site with good flat pitches, few facilities and a not very dynamic staff. With the right attitude of the staff and better facilities, this has the making of an excellent site.
DATE STAYED: September 2011

With this site only being 7 miles from home it was ideal for our first camping trip to try the new tent out. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and given a really good pitch opposite my brothers RV across the way. The site was very clean and well appointed with good shower and toilet facilities, lovely walks around the area, an ideal break for anyone. I have to say the only two things that could be improved is the stock in the site shop, very limited but not too terrible and the noise from the M42 (its not likely the higways agency are going to change that in a hurry, cannot be helped I suppose).Once we had a few beers the sound dissapeared into the background (funny how that happens!).Again, I would highly recommend this site, very pleasant overall.

We visited in Mid August this year for 3 days, not long enough, This Site is Great and we were lucky to pick it, as it was our last stop on our way back home from a two weeks tour it finish off our Caravanning Holiday Lovely.
The Friendly wardens made sure that we had a drive though pitch to stop all the messing about revering. The pitches are very big. The site started to fill up for the weekend but was still not overcrowded. There is easy access to the waterpark Crossed the Road, where my children booked up to do some Canoeing and a bit of Wall Climbing for a day, all good fun and not to price either, you can also walk or ride bikes for miles around the main park and over the far side of the park the is a Big Play area for all ages, and a miniature railway too, I cannot fault this site and we will be back very soon.
Thanks for a Great Stay. MA
This is a fab site and our second visit toilets are very clean and pitches very big you are deffo not overcrowded. with easy access to the waterpark which you can walk or ride bikes for miles i cannot fault this site and will deffo be back soon staff friendly and helpful look forward to our next visit
Lovely site and it is nice and peaceful for a nice quiet relaxing weekend away especially when the sun comes out. I have been to this site about three times now with my dad and brother and sister and my dads friends and we enjoyed it every time. Only one problem, there is nowhere for us kids to play ball games.
Joe age 10.
We visited this site earlier this month in our caravan and the friendly wardens made sure that we and 2 other family units were all placed together despite us all arriving at different times. The facilities were spotless and both my daughters remarked that there was never a queue for the showers or toilets as happens on other sites. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves with reasonably priced climbing and canoeing at the nearby activity centre and a visit to the childrens farm was also a hit. Our dogs were welcomed and could be off site for walks within minutes. We would like especially to thank Eric for his friendly helpful attitude and advice and will certainly be visiting this site again.
This site was chosen as a 1st outing for our newly purchased tent and a great excuse to meet up and camp with friends. The site and shower block are to a lovely standard, what isnt is the rock hard ground and lack of security. We visited the site last weekend and there were a spate of thefts including bikes, cookers and tools, some of these items were chained up and bolt cutters used to release them. The sites reception were not warning people about this which i found a little strange. Apart from the noise from the nearby motorway had a great weekend, think that was more to do with great friends than location though.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Active break
This is the second time we have stayed at Kingsbury Water Park. This time however we took our 11month old daughter for her first camping experience. We found the staff pleasant and helpful and in general the facilities are very good. We stayed for three nights at the campsite over a weekend and it seemed to be quite busy with a lot of groups. The water park which is a stones throw away has a lot of family activities but during peak times is very busy. There was only one real problem that we found which was the family wash room. The shower did not work
properly and there was no water pressure for the
hot tap which meant filling a baby bath took forever. Apart from that we had a very enjoyable stay and will go back again.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Groups,Active break,Younger couples
There were two main reasons why we booked for (initially) a 3 night stay here. Firstly, the advert says "a perfect setting for an enjoyable family holiday with an outdoor education centre opposite offering a variety of activities including abseiling, canoeing, climbing, rafting and more! Arrived on site to be told of no ball games or kites allowed. Visited the activity centre and all activities unavailable, reception said we should have pre booked a fortnight ago. The only activity was a 1.5 hour climb on the day we should leave; I had to book an extra night so we wouldn't go home with a totally distraught 14 year old. The second main reason for booking here was wifi. This was hit and miss throughout.
When I went to Reception to complain they said the Outdoor Activity Centre was outside their control. Why not say that pre booking activities is essential? Why put adverts in your page that aren't checked?
SUITABLE FOR: Older couples
this was our first caravan and camping club site holiday and we thought it was fantastic. the site was clean and beautifully kept. the wardens were really friendly and helpful and we had a super time. shower blocks and toilets were brilliant and kept extremely clean. would definately recommend a trip there and will be going back.
DATE STAYED: July 2011
I would recommend this site. We stayed for 13 nights in august. It was quite. Pitches are a good size. You are not on top of each other. The pub that you can walk to an get 5% off as a member is well worth a visit. (Dog and Doublet)The water park is great to walk round. Fishing at the waterpark can't be done as ponds over grown. However up the road the red farm is an excellent spot. The activity centre across the road from the camp site entrance is good but only available in the hold for one offs. You need to be a large party otherwise.
Nice clean site, was given a selection of pitches to choose from all adequately sized for our frame tent. The car access and egress is through a barrier providing good security. My 4 year old loved the play area although it would have benefited from more play facilities as they were always really busy. Most of the children were unsupervised by adults in the play area leading to some quite rough play one evening - my 4 year old and I retired back to the tent to so she didn't get hurt by being in the same proximity. In the evening(9.30pm)we suffered from kids whizzing around on bikes and playing ball games directly outside our tent, I had to keep an eye on our car to ensure it didnt get damaged from a rogue frizby or tennis ball (even some of the parents thought is was fun to play near our tent rather than risk damage their own car and caravan). As others have mentioned it is a great location for Drayton Manor park and obviously Kingsbury water park. Will probably return next year avoiding weekends.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Groups
We loved our Kingsbury holiday, it is a fantastic location ideal for children and people who love the outdoors. We were warmly greeted by friendly staff and given the pick of sites near the play area (we requested this as we have young children). The facilities were spotlessly clean. We will definitely be going back to Kingsbury again before the summer is over.
We enjoyed our first visit to Kingsbury and will definitely return in the future. The pitch was a little noisy due to the closeness of the M42 but it didn't spoil our stay in any way. The facilities were very good compared to other sites we have been to and kept very clean.
Our second visit to this pleasant site. However, be warned that if you book as a group but do not arrive at the same time you may not be put together - as we found out even though we booked weeks in advance. The staff didn't apologise or even seem to care! We will not be visiting this site again!
First time camping with caravan and camping club and this site was lovely.
The staff were friendly and helpful and showed us to our pitch. The toilet and shower blocks were always warm and clean and showers had plenty of room for you to share shower with children if you wish.
The area in which you wash up was the best I've seen and warm and clean. All the fellow campers were friendly also. My children made lots of friends and it felt a safe area for them to play. The kids loved the park on the campsite.

As a seasoned member and having been to the site last year I was really looking forward to my stay. But oh dear what a disappointment. The site was full to capacity and so quite bustling as I would have expected this was fine until the evening. First night our neighbours were still partying to 00.15 very noisy . I have never been on a site with this problem so assumed it was a blip even when the group decided to tidy up all their empty bottles at 6.00 am I was still optimistic that this was a rare unfortunate incident. Until the next night!! at 23.00 there were children still racing round the toilet block on scooters nearly knocking down a lady who spoke to them but to no avail she was quite distressed .At 23.45 I felt compelled to ask a group over 10 males drinking outside their tents watching the boxing on TV that they had set up if they could be a bit quieter as by now I really wanted to sleep. No response so I thought I would seek out a warden . Interestingly the quietest part of the site was around their area in complete darkness they must have been asleep lucky people!!So I walked back many groups were still chatting and the further away from the warden area the noisier it got. By me the noise carried on till the early hours when the TV was switched off . Again even more bottles noisily tidied up at 6.00 am . Whilst this is a lovely site in the day . A nightmare at night and I never saw a warden in the evening who perhaps could have made it a more pleasant experience . Had this been my first experience of camping and caravan sites I would be demanding my money back.
DATE STAYED: June 2011
it was our first time camping, and what a fantastic site to choose. The facilities and location. just wonderful. I would highly recommend the whole experience.
This was our second trip out in the caravan. This park deserves the 5 stars that it gets. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much for them. The site is so clean and tidy and the park was the highlight of my daughters weekend she loved it.
We will be definately going back to the site.
After buying a tent three weeks ago we thought about a trial run, which was to help us set up and have the equipment in place funny thing is we are only 4 miles from this site and you would have thought it was a million miles away, the team are always to hand and deserve recognition well done you keep a five star place this is one not to be missed we take that long 10 minutes drive again soon,
This was our 2nd visit to Kingsbury Water park campsite. The first was last year, during which we had a very warm welcome from very helpful staff and were really looking forward to returning.
This time we booked in for 2 nights with our two children (9 and 6). Unfortunately there was no warm welcome to be had this time. We were offered a choice of pitches and shown to the one we chose.
The toilet / shower facilities cannot be faulted (other than a few wobbly toilet seats!) - they were clean and fresh and had all facilities you would need.
The childrens play area was adequate, but busy. No real open space for ball games provided and lots of unsupervised children.
I think many people would agree that a great part of the camping experience is playing family games of bat and ball, cricket etc by the tent. For the first day and half we had great fun doing this with our children, but we are always respectful of other nearby families, who were also enjoying their own games. Until that is the warden put a stop to our games, saying no ball games were allowed to be played (which she said included frisbee). Well that was the end of our fun weekend.
The problem was some people were told and others not - there were no visible rules that we could see.
The warden said such games were meant to be played in the childrens play area, but that would have been impossible as it was too small an area.
Unfortunately this put a real dampener on what was until then a lovely stay.
I doubt I would book this park again, which is a shame because the facilities are lovely.
The childrens animal farm next door was worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic site, this is the 6th year we have been to this site. Standards the same as before excellent. However unlike other years staff not as friendly as in previous years, Manager insisted we had pitched the car too far over on the day we were leaving, car having not moved for 5 days!. Left a sad feeling after what was a great holiday. Apart from that great site and would recommend to anyone. Kids love it here
This site was absolutely immaculate. This is by far the cleanest site we have ever stayed in. The staff were friendly on arrival, we were allocated loads of room for our caravan and awning and given a choice of pitches. We chose to be near the childrens play park so we could see our 3 boys playing. It was a good play park which our 3 loved.
There were two toilets blocks close by and both were super clean. The showers was good and had plenty of room with a changing rooms in front of them.
I could not fault the site in any way and it was only 5 mins drive from Drayton Manor which is the main reason we went there although there are a host of other attractions close by too.
I would highly recommend this site to anyone and would definately go back if camping in the area again!
Stayed 4 nights over Easter period. Lovely site, friendly & helpful staff, nice clean facilties. Fantastic site for children. We went here so that our Grandchildren could visit. They had a great time. Don't think we would go at peak times on our own but would be first choice if taking the grandchildren. The only downside was units arriving far too early (11.00 am onwards) which at one point caused a tailback of about 20 units which blocked any units/vehicles leaving the site. This must cause real problems for the staff on site so please be aware of this.
this was our first time in our caravan only just started and it was a really good weekend we arrived on thursday afternoon and the staff was ok could have smiled a bit more a gentleman on his bike asked us where we would like to park so we went straight across from the play area under the trees the showers were excellent and clean the park was great to get to different places lovely walks to kingsbury water park everyone was friendly the noise from the m42 wasnt that bad you didnt notice it we will deffinately be returning to this park some time this year
Just spent 3 nights at Kingsbury. The site was very well kept and clean. Excellent base for Drayton Manor and Tamworth Snow Dome. We found the noise from M42 kept us awake on the first night, but got used to it and didn't notice it during the day. Kingsbury Water park was very nice. We left the site on Sunday morning and were able to park our car and caravan on the car park field of the Water park (£3 for the day - entrance to Water Park just along from club site). This was great as we could have a go on the miniature railway, which only opens Sundays and bank holidays. We had a lovely day at the water park - well worth remembering that you can park there for the day (with your caravan too).
We've just had two nights at Kingsbury on our first outing with our new caravan, having had a break of nearly 6 years. We were really impressed from the start - lovely welcome and an escort to our pitch! The kids were in their element having chosen a hardstanding next to the park - we hardly saw them for the time we were there! The weather helped make our weekend as well!! The only improvement would be better signage from the road!

Well located site with good facilites. Close to Birmingham and the NEC but far enough away.
Located on the edge of Kingsbury water park, with fishing, cycling, walking, sailing, bird hides and an outdoor center, visitor facilities, tea rooms, scale railway etc.
The facilites are good and always clean.
Depending on the wind direction the M42 can be a bit noisy, but you soon get used to it.

Our third time staying at this site to attend Cruft's at the nearby NEC. Plenty of long dog walks in the woods by the lakes and along the canal towpath. Spotless toilet block tidy site and well maintained landscape. Helpful and friendly staff. Good Wifi mobile and digital T.V. signal. Motorway traffic noise but not too distracting.

We agree with the previous reviews, can't fault the site. Must mention the Dog and Dublet, short walk away along the towpath. You can take well behaved dogs in and the food is very good. Cycled along the towpath the previous visit, right into Birmingham basin in the city centre. Lovely site to visit
Stayed for 4 nights in February. Wardens gave a friendly, helpful welcome. Also had good local knowledge of pubs and travel. Site very handy for NEC (approx 10 miles) and nearby Coleshill has Park and Ride facility at the station for a 15 min journey into Birmingham City Centre. Toilet/shower blocks clean, modern and warm. Some road noise from M42 and signage on entrance roads could be improved - we nearly went down a private drive! Lovely site - would like to visit again when the weather is better.

for all, but also good for RVs.

On arrival we were quickly checked in and shown to our pitch after being given a choice of pretty much anywhere and were pointed in the right direction for all facilities. We were very happy with the check in, the staff and the pitch.
There are two toilet blocks, practically identical to each other. The showers are fab, very spacious and although they’re push button they stay on long enough and are reasonably powerful with instant hot water. Always clean.
Very impressed with the facilities. The wash up sinks were nice big square ones, again with instant hot water.
There’s a laundry with washer, dryer, ironing board etc. Everywhere was spick and span. The site is well lit and a pleasure to amble round. Shop/ reception stocks bare minimum but there are supermarkets within a few miles of the site and you can order papers at reception for the next day.
The site is in a fab location for tonnes of local attractions, far too many to list but there is an abundance of leaflets in the information area. We were at the NEC in no time at all (about 6-8 miles) which was great for us.
We spent a day ambling around Kingsbury Water Park itself which is lovely. There are proper paths and it’s all signposted so suitable for all abilities but there are other woodland paths for the more adventurous which wander away from the gravel paths. We passed four hides which were great and well kept.
The miniature railway at the main visitor centre is good. And there’s plenty to see and do, all within walking distance from the site.
I have struggled to find a negative but although it didn’t bother us in the slightest, we were literally backed onto the M42 just about so the noise may bother some but we didn’t mind it.
Excellent site which we will definitely visit again and we will plan to stay for longer next time as a weekend just isn’t long enough. 10 out of 10 from us!

We have stayed here a few times once with a group of friends and the welcome just gets better each time, the water park is right next door and there is nearly always some activity on there plus plenty of walks and wildlife watching to do.
The site is close to Drayton Manor theme park and the NEC is only about 5 miles away also Tamworth is nearby for shopping , the site stock some basic food and there is a cafe/restaurant on the water park also pubs are a short drive away this is fast becoming our favorite site

I choose this site as it easy access to Tamworth snowdome .I arrived Friday evening, verywarm welcome, Tony showed me to my picth and very patiently directed me into the spot as it is only my 3rd outing with the caravan. The play area kept the children occupied wilst i cooked. Then walk along the canal .In the morning 15 mins into Tamworth. Next time i will take bikes for adult too as cycling paths everywhere. The castle ground where lovely with great playpark and lots of entertainment. Then it was back to the peace and quite of the site. Which is kept to a very high standard of cleaniness.Amenities all at hand . i will certainly be returning. We like to visit the snowdome, this way we can fit in lots more and not have to rush home as there is so much to do in the area.
Because the site is so popular there is a need to book early. My grandson is 5 years old and we take him camping all over the country but he maintains his favourite is Kingsbury Waterpark. The Staff are always welcoming and try to give you a pitch that best suits your needs nothing is too much trouble. The cleanliness off the toilet/shower block is unsurpassed by any other site I have been on. Aways guaranteed a good time what ever the weather.
booked in a block was not told may not be together, 1 of the party asked to park away from the group, The site manager, was VERY VERY RUDE to say the least, everything else was great.

One of the best caravan club sites ,with friendly and helpfull wardens
Can be noisy from M42 Will visit for weekend on a regular basis
A friendly, well maintained site with excellent facilities. A great base to explore area by foot as so many attractions/activities nearby including miniature steam railway, canal and water park. Short drive to lovely villages, Drayton Manor and Birmingham.
Our family had a great time and the kids spent most evenings in the fenced play park. Will definately return and reccomend to others.
