It was our first visit to this site, but by no means our last. We were greeted by the friendly staff even after 20:30hr on our arrival. Escorted to our pitch and given a briefing on the site facilities. We were upgraded free of charge to a hard standing pitch as we have a large motorhome and the grass was a little soft. The site was clean, well maintained and had good views of the English channel.Ideal location for walking or cycling into Folkestone accross the Warren.
Thank you and your staff for a very good bank holiday weekend. See you all again soon

Although we groaned when first negotiating the potholed access road we were soon happily pitched on the best site we have ever had, snug and sheltered, but with amazing views across the Channel to France. The site was welcoming and well maintained. The weather was a bit "iffy", but didn't spoil a great break. Walking is good from the site, with easy access to the beach and onto the famous "White Cliffs". On drizzly days we visited castles - Dover's is brilliant and deserves a whole day. We will certainly return. Oh, and we quickly learned how to slalom the road's potholes!

Lovely position right by the sea! shame about this years snooty management:-( not very friendly from the moment we arrived and we were charged £34.00 per night for a family on a grass pitch with no electricity during low season. Could do with child friendly area and dog walking area on site as dogs are not allowed to be exercised on the site itself. High speed rail runs right past the site all through the night, very noisy.

The location is hard to beat and this alone merits a stay here. Luckily this wasn't the only thing to commend the place - the couple running it were helpful and friendly, clearly took their roles seriously and looked after the place well. Facilities were always clean. We stayed here a couple of nights in July and again in September 2011 and will return. Folkestone's cute as well, some interesting things going on (arty stuff, sandcastle competition and so on)

Beautiful well maintained site situated in a perfect position on the edge of the sea. Quiet and peaceful and ideally located for walking along the many footpaths and also into Folkestone along the seafront. The site managers are most welcoming and friendly. The showers and toilets are very clean. Access is not the best but certainly worth the it when you get there. Will most definitely be returning next year.

This was our first time camping & as senior citizens we were not sure what to expect, but we enjoyed it very much & will definately go again. The camp site was excellent, the toilets & showers were absolutely spotless with regular checks throughout the day. The other facilities were the same. We would truly recommend this site to anyone. Well done The Warren!!!!

Astounding position with clever landscaping. Access extremely rough with many potholes-just needs gentle driving! Ignore the council notice at approach which says "no caravans"-extremely stupid and disconcerting!
Strange but peaceful beach of interest to WW11 historians.
Toilets as good as it gets. Very friendly site-no need to feel inferior if you've only a pup tent.
Wardens very proud of the site.
Folkestone has a wide range of eating places and fresh shellfish vendors, but is charmingly down-at-heel.
Ideal site for the Dover-Calais run-20 minutes to the ferry.

Very warm welcome by all staff. The site is clean and tidy with good wash rooms. We used the family room which had a baby bath and shower.
The beach is a 2 minute walk with easy access. Its nice to fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach.
Even though the site is on the cliff it is well fenced off and it was safe for our 1 year old son to run around. People have commented on the poor access road which has a number of pot holes but it is right to say this is owned by the railway company and not the site.
You hardly hear the trains go by because most are high speed.
we will be using this site again

This site is the best club site we have used. Facilities are modern, exceptionally clean and well cared for. The staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant. The beach is 75metres away down a sloping path. It is mostly shingle with some huge coastal defence areas. A good golden sandy beach is available about 2 miles away by Folkestone harbour. Good shopping in the town and every kind of eatery. The whole site is beautifully kept and interesting little nooks abound. Once again congratulations to the staff and thanks for a great stay.

I have visited Folkestone numerous times and used other camp sites in the area. I will not mention the names of the others as this I feel would be unfair. The one and main objection I had with this site is the price it was way above the norm at least £10 above the norm. Was it worth the extra, not one bit.To gain access to the site you drive down a lane that is badly potholed with numerous corners and whats more no lighting what so ever.I have to say I only adventured out by foot once in the 4 days I was there and it can be quite dangerous using the lane,to re enter on my return we used the beach side which was obvously a great improvement. The amenities were clean and well kept however the end of the site I stayed at there was only two showers for the males who were there and I was lucky in that I am an early riser, 0600 hrs normally. For the majority who felt 0800 hrs is a nice time to get up had a lengthy wait for the use of the shower. Once again I will add a second facilities block was at the entrance to site but a 3 minute walk away how many showers were there I am afraid I cannot say. To go back to the cost my last two camp sites I stayed at one near Ipswich the other near Sevenoaks both had swimming pools and both had a small club house and both were praivately run and only cost £24 a night in August.Folkestone its self is worth the visit and the Warren country park is worth a stroll. The staff on the camp site must have a mention as without a doubt they are polite and helpful and be could not be faulted. This only a personnel review, and I have read many so if you wish to go I would go as I have read many a review, gone, and thought the opposite what someone had written.

My childern love it there and even though its a long journey from blackpool well worth the miles as such a beautiful site.
My husband loves fishing while we are there and i love waking up with the sound for the sea and the piece and quite.
Recommend to all my friends and family as a great site, and have made some great friends while there.

When we arrived they said we would love it here! Well we did - what a simply fantastic site. Yes the access road is a bit steep with pot holes, take it slowly you'll be fine!
What you find at the bottom is well worth it - beautiful, quiet but for the sound of the sea, lovely coastal walks (40 mins to Folkestone). Toilets and showers were very clean, staff were very friendly.
BBQs off the ground are allowed and with the cliffs behind you and the sea in front the spot was well sheltered for tents and has it's own little climate.
Can't wait to go back and glad we don't live far!

We loved this site, but the road in was really scary. We weren't always sure we were on the right road and if we were really going to end up in a campground. It was quite a walk into the city but we were rewarded with a Starbucks and it is also the home of Vacarious Books. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. But we never did get the wifi to work - not even standing right in front of the signal post.

Fantastic location nestled under cliffs and just above the beach. Very busy when I was there with lots of families staying. Folkestone (which has good shopping and a lovely sandy beach) is very convenient if you follow the sea front route whilst you can also head up to the top of the cliffs for fantastic views back down to the site. You can also follow the footpath at the top of the cliffs to the Battle of Britain memorial and then the Cliff Top café. The wardens were very friendly and very helpful and the facilities were excellent with the toilets and showers being very modern and very well maintained. The final road to the site is steep and was quite potholed when I was there but it is fine if you take it carefully.

What a lovely site in a stunning location. Very quiet with only the sound of the sea on the beach to lull you off to sleep!
The road to the site is a bit narrow, but dont let this put you off we got our large folding camper down it with no problems at all. The site staff are really friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They even arranged for a steam train to pass the site during our stay ;)

Another little gem of a site. Managers were so friendly and helpful. The access is a bit tight, but take it slowly and its fine. Lots of wonderful coastal walks to enjoy with our dogs and Folkestone took just 30 minutes by foot along the footpath. The town is undergoing a big rejuvenation project at the moment and the old town is definitely worth a walk around with a large market on Saturdays. The site can get busy, which is not surprisng with Dover port just round the corner, but it was always spotless and quiet at night. For any keen anglers this site is a must with the beach right on your doorstep. Another big thumbs up, 5 star.

This site has fabulous views, friendly helpful staff and spotless facilities. Access road is quite steep and narrow and requires careful driving. Mobile signal is virtually non-existent but there is a payphone on site. Shop is well stocked and newspapers can be ordered.

Lovely site made even better by the brilliant warden's. They keep the site and facilities spotless and always give you a warm welcome. We have visited the site several times in the last fee years and always have a relaxing time. The access road is a little tricky, we have a large folding camper, but more than possible if you just take it carefully and slow. In low season this site is lovely and quiet, in high season it is a little overrun by kids but I can see why with the great beach access. We always camp with our 2 labs who love the beach. No dog restrictions at any time of year. Quite a remote site but if you pack all you need you can easily not move all holiday - just relax and listen to the waves. They also sell all the essentials from the little on site shop. Great site - we love it.

Great site for families or groups wanting to camp together.
Children were told they could play ball games on empty pitches and allowed to chalk on the roads. Groups of tents were allowed to pitch very close together ignoring the 20 ft rule. Facilities were usual high standard but not many showers/toilets considering how many tents there were.
Great views to some pitches and it's only a 30metre walk to the beach. Then if you are feeling up to it cut through the woods, over the golf course, down some steps and you are in Folkestone harbour. We didn't get the peace and quiet we expected for a couple on their own but still had a lovely weekend and will return with our own extended family in tow!!
