Having camped all our lives we can only say that this has to be one of the best sites we have ever been on. The welcome was warm and gracious. Excellent and immaculately clean facilities for showering, washing-up etc.. As first-time users of a small camper van we were overwhelmed by the helpfulness of the site managers, who helped us to sort our electrics. The family shower room would have been a bonus for us when our children were small. We would recommend this site to anyone of any age or ability. Thank you.

Just spent a wonderful weekend, Site immaculate and staff were lovely and very helpful they pitched us right to the edge of the hardstanding so our aged poorly Cavalier could feel the freedom of getting in and out of the van unaided onto lovely soft grass, lovely walks in the woods, superb showers even got my very long hair looking great and were so warm it was almost dry when I left the shower room after waiting for a very long hailstorm to pass. Thankyou all we will be back as soon as we can.

As first time caravaner's we could not have wished for a better site. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were always clean whenever we visited them. Six hooks in the showers pleased me greatly as nothing had to go on the floor! The layout of the facilities meant that there was never a time when all the toilet block was closed when cleaning was being done as they could be split in half. The games room was a lovely, bright and warm place to go with a pool table and comfy sofas. We will definitely be returning to Verwood!

From the moment we arrived onsite we were surprised by the warm and friendly welcome we received from the site staff. With the personal escort to our pitch and walk around the site making sure we knew where all the facilities were located.
We're looking forward to booking the our next stay on this site.

26th Oct 2012, 3 nights. This is, without doubt, one of the cleanest and well maintained Club sites I have ever visited. Sat Nav took us straight there but watch the directions if coming south on the A31 around Ringwood. The welcome was great, booking in was very easy and although pitches where restricted to hard standing's due to the time of year, we where given a choice of pitch. The washrooms are extremely well appointed and very recently refurbished and kept spotlessly clean by the warden's. It is a shame that the people using the facilities do not treat them with the respect they are due, it is truly disgusting how the W/C's and basins are left!! ( I do wonder what some peoples homes must be like, It must be very disheartening to the Wardens! ) The village of Verwood is a short drive, not muxh public transport at this time of year, and only 1 Private Hire cab available if you fancy a pint or 2. We can thoroughly recommend the Monmouth Ash, great welcome, great selection of Ales and food plus it is a Dog Friendly Restaurant. Great site, great people and a great area.

Reading through the reviews of this site I was amazed at two negative reviews for August 2012. Being on this site for the whole of August I wish to respond.
Having spent much time there I have always found the facilities spotless, not dirty or ‘fairly clean’, even at the height of the season. I find the showers spacious, the temperature pleasant and the ‘push button’ to work them helpful. If the temperature is ‘too hot and dangerous for children’ or adults there is a family room where this can be adjusted.
I have never encountered more friendly and accommodating staff as at this site. While in the shop/office when new arrivals have come, I have been amazed at the effort put into finding pitches that suit particular requirements, changing allocations round as far as they can to accommodate both groups and individuals. I was at the site, actually in the office this summer, when a colleague died suddenly, and saw that even then, as they did all they could to help his wife and struggled with their own grief and loss, they were aware that campers on the site were on holiday and always kept up a smiling ‘front’.
It seems that negative reviews are only left by those who were not allowed to put themselves and other campers at risk from fire by not observing the 6 metre fire break rule. These incidents were not at Verwood, but in the last four years I have seen the remaining ashes of one burnt-out caravan, and a fire inside the tent next to me - the cooker caught fire, but fortunately we were able to put it out with fire extinguishers before the whole tent went up – so I am very grateful for the care that is taken to ensure our safety when pitching tents and caravans. The policies are clearly stated in ‘Your Place in the Country’ and those not happy with them should camp on other sites where the campers’ welfare is not given the same consideration.
I hope to spend many more happy times at this pleasant, friendly site..

A fabulous site with good natured and friendly staff and superb facilities. Approach road (B3081 ) was better than I thought it might be. Will definitely use this site again and will visit the Albion pub just up the road where we were greeted by staff and customers like old friends. Pity about the narrow bridge where you take a risk to walk across it to get to Verwood. Will definitely recommend it to all my friends

First time at this site we found it as described when booking, very clean and close to town and Bournemouth/Poole/New Forest etc. Not very busy when we stayed very freindly site only gripe being lack of bins onsite(only one main area) and lack of dog waste bins as it is a dog freindly site found this annoying.Lovely weather helped to make our 1 week stay very enjoyable and we will certainly return

The site was great. The pitches are not level, but they do tell you that before hand. The trip was spoilt a bit for me because there was a particular group who were very anti-social and loud late at night (I mean after midnight) which is just not acceptable when there are people with children sleeping. The more I think about it the more I think that sites should start taking more of a stand and kicking people out who are too noisey. The facilities are lovely and clean and there are tonnes of them, the kids play p[ark is very nice and the pitch spacing, even though busy, was very good.

My children had a fantastic holiday at this site. The only problem we had was our pitch was a SEVERE slope. We couldn't put our table in our tent canopy because the slope was too extreme to be able to put anything on it. In the brochure it mentions that pitches were sloping and chocks required, but I foolishly assumed that the tent pitches would be level. I ended up putting spare blankets under the childrens beds to stop them sliding down the slope. Fortunately we had a glorious week of sunshine so were able to sit outside on more level ground the entire week. Not all the grass pitches are sloping, I guess we were just unlucky. That said, we will return to this site.

We had a short break here
No site shop to speak of, seemed to be a reception.
The sound of traffic close to the bottom of the site is loud at rush hour, the site itself is very open plan, It depends what your looking for in a campsite, this one is not private at all, no boundaries, no hedges or plants between pitches.
no clear direction for pedestrians or motor vehicles so both people and cars drive past your tent and across your pitch at any time as many pitches are in the middle of the field.
The site manager, didn’t indear himself to us the first day, having finished pitching our large tent, we were told our tent was a foot over the markers that keep you 6 metres clear of neighbours, we travelled with our neighbours, so common sense should have prevailed, instead, insisted we moved our tent.
Others had worse experiences, we had to help a family move a flooded tent after a downpour and all helpers wanted to get the tent out of the water, however the site manager still insisted on 6 metres… good money is paid to have a nice holiday, not in 2 feet of water ! common sense must prevail. They are very strict on pitches.
a brighter side, only a short drive to Bournemouth and the coast, lovely gardens and amusements for the kids. Local eateries are good. The drovers inn very good pub close-by in a village called gussage-saint-john, fabulous food, great local ale too. Hunters inn even closer, There is also a tesco-express closeby a mile up the road but all driveable as no pedestrian walkways to and from the campsite.
A fish and chip van comes twice a week but isn’t the best value.
Facilities ok, all clean. Hot water in showers very hot and no temperature control, young children beware.
Won't be returning.

Excellent location with easy access both to the New Forest and to the coast. Site was clean; toilet facilities excellent and first impressions very positive.
However, the site management was less than professional from the moment we arrived with a distinct lack of good communication. Our booking couldn't be found and an excessively long time in trying to determine the cost of our stay. We were shown to our pitch and we endeavoured to keep within the yellow markers that had been pointed out to us. About two hours to pitch and set everything up and then to be told that we had to move and re-pitch the tents was not a welcome development!!
In wishing to purchase a Camping Gas re-fill bottle, I enquired that such a replacement was possible but was not told that it had to be paid for in cash and cards would not be accepted. When a replacement was then required and to then be told that only cash was acceptable left us in a predicament.
To be fair, on the site information leaflet it does state that gas refills and all items from the shop are cash only purchases - I admit that I had missed that instruction but one does query the fact it has to be cash only in this day and age.
Our short stay most certainly wasn't ruined but we would not recommend this site and will not be returning!

We had a good short break here. An excellent hub for surrounding activities and Bournemouth Beach and resort which was brilliant.
The site was clean and the staff were helpful. The only downside was the sound of traffic close to the site; although by the 2nd and 3rd nights we had started to get used to it.
Verwood town has a number of pubs and restaurants and I'd certainly recommend the Italian restaurant Venice (but recommend booking).
All in all a good site and we would camp there again; but only after looking for a site that may be away from a busy road.

Lovely site - we asked for a quieter part of the park and we were put in the top field where it was indeed much quieter. The lower field is more geared up for families with small children - good play ground etc.
Toilets and showers were excellent, can't complain about any of it. Laundry and washing up area very well equipped.
Even managed to get the weather right.
One note - if you wanted to walk into Verwood, you should be aware that there is no pavement and it is quite a busy road.

We have just spent 2 weeks at Verwood. I would like to thank you to Kevin Minney & Linzi Payge (Site Managers) and their assistants for their hard work. Whilst we were on the site we mainly had rain and they made sure that all campers were suitable pitched mainly on the hardstandings and that the site facilities were all kept clean, keep up the good work. Please can I just say that as a nation we are quick to complain about things (and complaining at the Holiday Site Managers & Assistants about the weather is not their fault)and dont compliment them when its needed.

We got a very friendly greeting from the site managers and we were given a choice of where we would like to site the caravan. They were also very helpful when we needed directions for the hospital as I had fallen off the caravan step and badly sprained my kneecap which was strapped up and I was on crutches for a week. They were very kind and asked me how I was when we came back. They also went round every van, tent etc. when the electricity went off and told us that there would be a generator on site and then came round again when the electricity was back on. I would certainly recommend this site for its location and staff.

Just returned from a 4 day break, our first experience of a club site since joining back in April and we were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming, which carried on during the first day when I needed to get a new tyre for my cycle, they gave direction to a shop in Ringwood and checked later to see if I had been sorted.
Recent refurbishment of the facilities meant that they were first class and always clean, showers were great. Overall this has to be one of the best sites that we have ever stayed on, we will definitely be coming back again.

Excellent stay at a good site with newly laid roads and facilities which were spotless. Site was wet in some parts due to heavy rain but site staff were really helpful in finding us a dry pitch near the facilities block. Great family washroom and excellent showers. Only minor gripe is that they could do with some child steps so small ones can reach basins in family room and toilet blocks. There's also a chip van which comes once a week, save your money and head into one of the local towns or to the coast. Great weekend, in spite of the rain!

Unwelcoming and unhelpful at reception, blinds closed making it look unwelcome. staff member seemed 'put out' that we wanted to look round site before committing to a booking. Site very much sloping, hard standings small, some raised with drops either side! Very regimental and close together. Requested a pitch at bottom of site on the only close to level ground but was refused this as grass was for tents only supposedly although caravans were on grass pitches! Needless to say we didn't stay. Very unhelpful staff. Found excellent site 7 miles up the road at corfe castle- well worth a visit!!!

The refurbishment has greatly improved the site. The entrance and exit barriers really enhances your feeling of security during your stay. The play area, which was previously quite poor, is a vast improvement although the recreation room could do with more facilities for families with older children. Lovely site - this was my first time and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was offered a quieter pitch away from the families and children without asking. The dog walk is lovely and you can go as far or as near as you want as it extends into woodland. We saw red deer on our first day. All the facilities were clean and I liked the cloths hanging by the washbasins so that spills and drips could be cleaned up keeping everything dry and clean. Found that my sat nav didn't agree with the postcode which caused a bit of confusion returning one night. I will visit again.

have been to this site several times over the last 35 years. was VERY disappointed with the new "hard" stands, loose gravel is not my idea of a hard stand, espically when the type used will never in a month of Sundays compact. To get onto the pitch was a feat, even the motor mower could not cope with the steep incline, I did not expect to have to man handle the van on to the pitch, no wonder the site guy disappeared very quickly once he had shown us the pitch. The sites are now so small that you can not get a car on the pitch if you have an awning and the slopes each side of the pitch is so great that you are in danger of falling off. If you go in the rain take you water wings, you will need them. If these are "improvements" give me what it was before.

We've just returned from 5 days staying at the Verwood Club Site and it was great. The whole site has been remodenised. Everywhere was new and spotlessly clean, staff were friendly and on arrival they showed us what pitches were avaliable and let us choose where we wanted to stay. We stayed over on the far side of the site and would choose there again as the noise from the road along the near side would distract from what is a very peaceful site. The new childrens play area was not open but looks great and would be open any day soon. The dedicated dog walk was beautiful, walking up through the woods amongst thounsands of bluebells. The site is a good base to travel around and see the surrounding sights/areas. We'll be returning again next year for sure.

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at Verwood and although the site was busy, staff were very helpful&friendly. All areas of the site were very clean, lovely hot showers that dont keep stopping like some sites!Easy to find and good roads not too many traffic hot spots. You can hear some road noise in the bottom field but we didnt find it too obtrusive.Good for Bournemouth, Christchurch, Weymouth, New Forest. We will be returning again soon.

Just had 6 lovely days at Verwood, staff very friendly and most welcoming, yes the shower blocks are a bit dated but were always spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. The site is to be refurbished at the end of the season with additional hard standing pitches which will make it an even more popular site.

Site quiet if located away from the road (road is busy).
Hardstandings desperately in need of updating, not in good condition at all.And be aware if it rains heavily, you will end up with a swimming pool. Pitch sizes are quite small and you can feel crammed in when site is busy.
Toilets clean and adequate, but desperately need updating and are really under pressure at peak times.
Top field very quiet, bottom field can be noisy.
Area beautiful, plenty to see and do, lovely walking from the site, and if the club spend some money on it we will return but not till then.

Having visited this site twice this summer we have found it to be an excellent place to stay. My husband and I stayed in a tent with our daughter aged 8 who loved the space to run around and we felt it was quite safe for her to do so. There is a small children's play area where the kids tend to congregate and chat. However by 9.00pm this area was clear with most children returning to their tents/caravans and so there was a minimum amount of noise at night. Infact by 10pm the campsite generally was quiet enabling an early night for those who wished.
The facilities were plentiful with 2 shower/toilet blocks and always kept stocked of toilet paper and very clean. The same can be said for the washing up facilities too and there was always plenty of hot water. Each shower block (ladies) had a hairdryer which cost 20p and the laundry room had a washing machine, tumble dryer and an iron/ironing board. Frozen blocks for cool boxes could be rented from reception for a small charge and a deposit.
If you have children a visit to Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood is a great day out with play parks, tree top walk, a lake, miniature steam train and a lovely restaurant.
All in all a great place to stay if you enjoy peace and quiet with great amenities.

We had a really pleasant stay over August Bank holiday. The site did not seem to be at all crowded. Easy ground to pitch on and plenty of space. Little Childrens play area which was well used !
The Heavy Horse centre is well worth a visit and the site is ideal for exploring the New Forest etc. We will definatley go back to Verwood again...next time for longer.

A lovley site and a pleasant welcome by the staff. we were given plenty of room around our van and the kids loved it. The local pub is 1/2 a mile down the road and the meals are brilliant, the swan near morrisons offers 20% off to C&CC members but the quality of food is not that good. The site is 15 miles from Bournmouth and Sailsbury with plenty of places to visit. we had a great two weeks with our 6yr old daughter and 14yr old son. If I had one complaint it would be that there is only one washing machine for a large busy site. Great site and would recommend it.

Just returned from a fantastic week at this site, could not have asked for a more pleasant area to stay, an ideal place for exploring Dorset & Hampshire, with the New Forest on your doorstep. Yes, the shower and toilet blocks may be dated, but are more than adequate with a constant supply of hot water, the on site shop has all you need and the village has Tesco, COOP and a large Morrisons to get all your supplies for your stay. Only 2 moans really. One being from an inconsiderate family who allowed their 2 noisy children to play on the park at 06.00! and the torrential downpour that occured on Thursday morning (not that it was the campsite fault) Will definately be returning in the future, my advice.... give it a look!!

Well, after reading other reviews about the site, I was fairly confident that it was going to be a good holiday. We had booked five nights camping on a non electric pitch. We have camped before, but never on this site, and never in high season. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. We got there two hours before check in time, but were allowed to pay in advance for our pitch, and were given a list of places and directions to get to local shops, so that we could get some breakfast.
When we returned at midday, we were walked through the site, and given a number of pitches to choose from. The man explained that the playground area could be quite noisy, so we pitched a bit further up, by the dog walk.
Shower and toilet facilities, although old were mega clean, and totally adequate for our needs. The shop stocked local produce and I highly recommend the sausages! The fish and chip van came on tuesday, and the food was GORGEOUS!
On the last day, after packing up, we had a flat battery in the car. This did not cause an issue, as the site manager came to our aid with jump leads, and his little tractor!
By far the best holiday myself, my partner and my eleven year old son have had camping! Well done Verwood, we will be back next year!! Xx

Lovely site - clean facilities, but dated as has been previously stated. Staff were very helpful and friendly; working hard to keep everything running smoothly. Tents are sited around the kids' playground - small but sufficient. Chip van has EXCELLENT food, but be prepared to wait a long time while everything is freshly prepared. A lovely quiet site, close to the New Forest. Downside - you can't have a walk straight from the site. If walking in the forest is your bag, try the moorland at South Gorley - just over the Fordingbridge road - lovely and full of New Forest ponies and picnic sites!

Verwood is everything I would expect from a club site, friendly staff, eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible, a well stocked shop and good facilities. The toilets and showers are described in other reviews as being in need of upgrade, don't let that put you off, they are very clean and have instant hot water, they are fit for purpose plentiful, with several shower blocks.
The area for tents is large and has many very flat pitches, with a children's play area in the middle. There is a B road running along the edge of the site, the road noise is minimal and didn't spoil our sleep.
Verwood is a lovely site and I'll definitely visit again.

As long term members we did what we always do: Decide where to go on holiday then book the nearest club site. After settling on Dorset and booking Verwood I read some reviews and was getting worried about comments regarding the facilities and the road noise. Needn't have worried - the facilities were perfectly fine and adequate and as always squeaky clean, including the disabled facility I used with my young son. The team was lovely as always and the site beautiful and peaceful with amazing views from the tent. We were given a choice of pitches - the team had made careful note of the fact that our son is disabled and had been thinking ahead how they could best help which is amazing! We will be back for another holiday. I do think that the Verwood section on the website could do with some more photos to show it off more.

We really enjoyed Verwood, it was central to the coast and the forest. We particularly wanted somewhere to walk our boisterous black Labrador where he could cool off in a river and the country park nearby was perfect. We visited Bournemouth, Christchurch, Sandbanks all just a short drive away as well as the dog friendly pubs nearby. The staff are approachable and very helpful, especially Wendy and Mark. The facilities are excellent, very clean and the site is beautifully maintained. We will definitely visit Verwood again and recommend it to anyone who loves the countryside.

A nice clean site with friendly staff and decent sized grass pitches. Toilets, showers and washing facilities are good.
The main downside for us was the noise from the road. It is no good having grass pitches for tents where there is a persistent row from trucks, cars and unsilenced motorbikes ect. It would be better if the hard-standing pitches were by the road, as with a caravan or motor-home you could at least shut the noise out.
This was a shame, because in general its a nice place... but not for tents on the road side of the site.
The Albion pub down the road serves excellent food and the beer is good. I have two children, we went to Splashdown waterpark and the Heavy horse sanctuary just down the road, both of these were fun and they enjoyed it.
We stayed for three days, if you were there longer with children it may involve a lot of driving as most of the attractions in Dorset are more on the South West side. You will notice that when you look at the Dorset attractions flyer available in the site office. This has money off vouchers so look out for that.
In summery, I would go there again if I was guaranteed to be away from traffic noise, but only for a short break.

We enjoyed our stay here. The facilities although not the most modern were clean and we never had to queue for washing up, showers etc with plenty of hot water to hand.
Most pitches were slightly sloping but we were not really bothered by this and the units were fairly well spread out despite the site being pretty much full. We were quite near to the road and play area. The road noise only really bothered us for a night or two (it is a fast and quite busy road) but children were out playing at the playground until dusk which was late as it was June. However, the site accommodated us very efficiently next to other family members as we had requested at booking which was brilliant.
All in all a good stay, although we felt that the location was not as rural and special as many other Club sites. The New Forest is a good twenty-five minutes drive away as is Bournemouth but there is a lot to do for families in the area.
I would especially recommend the Moors Country Park with Play trail and narrow gauge railway. The Heavy Horse Centre was great too. A beautiful evening at Hengistbury Head with grandparents' dogs was superb as was the price of cycle hire for an afternoon in Burley, brilliant for pony spotting. The children enjoyed Splashdown in Poole, but I would advise arriving before the crowds. Bournemouth was lovely too as we were entertained by the New Forest Dixieland Band and the crazy golf.

If you have children be careful before you decide to book this site. Our child was 6 at the time and enjoyed hiding behind trees and jumping out to look for baddies!! Even though he did this on his own nowhere near anyones unit or car he got told off by the owners, which upset him (we could see him from our unit). When I complained it was a case of tough luck! Camping certainly isn't the same anymore. Its a shame because its in a beautiful part of the country which we visit often. We won't visit this site again as it wasn't children friendly.

This was our first trip as Club members to any Club site and we had mixed feelings. Initially we had booked for four nights but had to abort our holiday after only two nights as a bought of extreme hay-fever rendered sitting in a field a miserable experience. We have tried to not let this disappointment cloud our judgement for this review.
That said, however, based on previous limited non-club camping experiences, the site seemed very crowded (perhaps this is normal?) and we felt rather hemmed in when in our tent. The site staff were friendly and welcoming and the full facilities made for reasonable comfort although they really do need a major overhaul - this seems like a common criticism on many Club sites, not just this one - we have to ask why isn't it being addressed? All the facilities were clean and usable, just about ten years past due for renovation in our view.
The walks locally were good and many things to do nearby it seems. The site is close to outside amenities and shops and a little too close to the main road for our liking, with traffic noise audible at night in a tent. The pitches we saw mainly seemed to slope, something else to note for tent campers.
In all, a reasonable stay but as new members to the Club and the Club camping scene in particular we were a little underwhelmed at the experience and not sure really what the membership offers other than slight discounts, but we will give it another go later in the year.

This was our first time out in our campervan, and it was wonderfully peaceful. We had a great time, in a clean, friendly, well looked after site. our dog enjoyed the forest walks, however, if you intend to walk to the shops in Verwood, beware of the roads from the campsite, as there are no footpaths, and the traffic is fast. bicycle hire would be very helpfull, for those who didn't take their own (like me). Apart from that small thing, we will visit this campsite again, and would reccomend it to anyone.

This is a lovely site, with a couple of reservations. 1, Where is the recycling. I thought we were meant to be going green. 2, The facilities are a little tired and in need of updating but throughly clean. 3, The exit gate is a lttle tight with a caravan if something was trying to get in at the same time. 4, As a former tenter, there is not a huge range of flat pitches. The wardens are so friendly here and this was our second stay in 10 months and love the waking and cycling nearby. The site is so peaceful but it is a great shame that the efforts of the wardens are slightly undermined by the lack of repairs carried out during the months of winter closure. The drain for motorhome dump of grey water was broken and the showers were in need of updating or repairs - this level of repair required at the beginning of the season does not do the site justice. The wardens are very friendly and very welcoming.

We stumbled on this site some years ago after a very traumatic stay at another site close by. The site managers went out of their way to accommodate us at a very busy time of year, and we have been there every year since, both as a couple and now with our children. Lovely site but like many other comments...IT IS IN SEVERE NEED OF UPGRADING!!! Come on Camping and Caravanning Club, your managers work tirelessly keeping this place as clean as possible, but theres only so much they can do. Its time to invest in this little gem of a campsite and bring it into the twentieth century. That being said, we will still be back again this year, loaded with plenty of towels and carrier bags for the showers. Its perfectly located for many beachs, walking, cycle routes, horse riding, golf etc and their are some smashing places to eat in verwood itself as well as several take aways that deliver to your tent, crackin!!!

This was our second visit to Verwood, and I still love this site. I like the fish and chip night and the fact that the site shop supports local business by stocking local produce.
My only issue is that the toilet facilites, although clean, are in desperate need of updating. I know there was talk of it a few years ago, but now think it needs to be a priority. I know the boiler had to be repaired twice during our weeks stay!
Despite this it's a well placed site and fantastic for families like ourselves with young children. Will go back again.

This was our second visit to Verwood; the first was last year and I am ashamed to admit I didn't leave a review.
What a lovely site, so peaceful and informal, yet very well organised. Nothing was too much trouble for the site management; special thanks to Wendy and Kev. We even had assistance with internet searches for our needs.
The site is beautifully maintained. There are water supplies and waste water disposal points a-plenty. Deserving special mention is the clean chemical disposal with a handy tap/hose for rinsing out the cassette while doing the 'man' work (sorry girls - I know those of you on your own also do this - no offence meant!!)
Toilets/showers/washing/washing up facilities all first class, scrupulously clean. Although our caravan has its own shower, I could tell from washing my hands occasionally that there is a plentiful supply of hot water.
Local amenities are excellent, including the nearby Morrisons and Swans pub with discounted meals. Not walking distance, but near enough for a short drive. We are no strangers to the area, and there are so many attractions within reasonable travelling distance, that not only will we be back next year, I reckon we will be staying in the area for many years to come and still not run out of places to go.
Only one tiny downside, not the fault of the site owners/wardens; the brown sign for the campsite is partly covered by foliage. Our visit last year with the folding camper on included a 10 mile detour as we were heading for the spot shown on our quick look at the Google map and the postcode comes up a bit of a distance up the road and I caught sight of the entrance out of the corner of my eye, too late....Anyone heading there without knowing this, when coming up from Verwood take care once past the Crane Valley Golf Club - clearly there on the left - Verwood C & CC site is the immediate next on the right.
The site is a credit to the club
Happy camping!!

This was our first visit to a Club site being new to caravanning. We found the location easily. The staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting with our pitch location. All facilities were very clean and in good order. We would return here again without any worries
