This was our first time at St Neots and we will certainly be going back when we can. The friendly helpfull staff are second to none and the location is beautiful yet so near the town. Within a 20 minute walk if you are like us and like to stroll. loads of great dog walking paths and some really nice pubs just up the river. All together - perfect.

Only a one night stay whilst cycle touring. This site was very nice & quiet & situated right on the river banks of the Ouse. Friendly & helpful staff who gave us a choice of plots. All facilities were clean & in good order. Near enough to the town to get a pub meal & no noisy campers on site which is always nice. Will definitely be back to stay again...

We stayed at this site for three nights. It is beautifully situated by the river and you can walk along the river into St Neots. There you can catch a bus into Cambridge which we did. The site is very well kept and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and we would definately stay there again.

One of my favourite camp sites as it is right by the river. Spent many hours sitting by the river just reading and watching the boats go by. Friendly staff. Tried their best this year with the site getting flooded a few times. We went after one flooding and could see what damage has been caused by the water. Easy access to the town via parks or road. where a good selection of places to eat or drink. There is something for everyone in St Neots. Enjoy!

DESPITE 3 FLOODINGS THIS YEAR THE SITE CREW DID THEIR VERY BEST TO KEEP THE PLACE OPEN FOR US AS FOR THE RUTS ETC IN THE GRASS PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRIVE THEIR CARS OVER IT JUST AFTER IT HAS BEEN FLOODED OR TRY TO DRIVE THROUGH THE WATER NOT KNOWING WHAT IS UNDERNEATH. I ACTUALLY HELPED THE TEAM TWICE AFTER FLOODS AND IT IS HARD WORK CLEANING THE SITE UP SO WE CAN USE IT AGAIN SO PLEASE BEAR A THOUGHT FOR THEM THIS YEAR AND THE HARD WORK THEY HAVE PUT IN FOR US. ALL CAMPSITES IN THE UK HAVE SUFFERED FROM THE STORMS WE HAVE HAD ST NEOTS IS NO EXPEPTION LOOK AT PREVIOUS YEARS THE SITE CAN LOOK LIKE A PARK WITH ALL ITS SUMMER FLOWERS AND BEDDING PLANTS

The site has suffered in 2012 with 3 serious floodings from the river which washed away the expensive work done on the roads. Despite this the team have rallied round and made the best they can. Bins emptied on time, shower block clean (but tired), grasscut, no litter on site, good fishing, great access to town and local pubs. The Old Mill is a must with great food, the home made burger was fab!! Great little site, very friendly.

I dont believe the Club could employ people to improve this site and in the process they have ruined it,It used to be so neat and tidy, now the new road has large holes in it there are no neat curbs anymore just large ruts everywhere,we have been coming here for years but we were so shocked to see the state of the site,we dont think we will be back,Why do people in the Club who must inspect work carried out not see the damage being done to what was a lovely site, its a total mess now.Still pot holes in original road, floods even more now.

We stayed here for two nights for our first ever trip in our new camper. We were delighted with the facilities, locality and wild-life. Walking into St Neots along the River Ouse takes 15 minutes and a helpful map is available at reception. I have rarely seen so many swans in one place.
The site has everything we needed and as it is just one hour from home we shall certainly come back for more long weekends.
Lots of pubs, restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic site. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (to the point of lending me a hook-up cable as mine wasn't long enough). The CDP was easily the best I've ever seen.
There's a lovely walk upstream along the river, across at the weir, and a drink in a lovely pub. Spot on really - we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I've stayed at this site many times and have never been disappointed. It's in a beautiful location, near a huge park and within walking distance of town. It is quite possible to camp here for a week and not need the car. The facilities were spotless (as you would expect) and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of good walks and even a chip shop down the road for when you don't feel like cooking! Highly recommended.

This was our first time camping as a family, and was our trial run to see if it would be liked! We have a young family 2yr + 5months! And we loved it! Our 2yr old just wanted to put her boots on and go and play outside all the time!
Was welcomed to the site, had booked 2 plots for tents and tge campsite staff did there upmost to get us as close to each other as possible which was great! They were extremely helpful! Lovely location on the river and only short walk in to St Neots! Will be returning in the future! Great first starter! Brought back fond memories of my childhood holidays caravanning! Thank you!

Facilities were clean, but somewhat dated, could do with soap, hand driers that dry and showers not in a draft. Shame there is nowhere to for child to play, don't all children play games by their own unit? Lucky we didn't have ours with us. Lovely by the river. On site road could do with some repairs. Overall, felt the site was a little 'tired'. Did enjoy our stay.

I come from the area and spent most of my growing years there, it has definately improved. The welcome & attention to our pitch was really great as we had our teenage daughter with us who really had to be conected, so much time spent sorting us out, I know we where there for 2 weeks but I'm sure they would have spent as much time if you were only there for 1 night.Setting is beautiful, but the high constant care of the site was constant, toilet, wash room dishwashing, general cleanlines,& maintaining the grounds were fsntastic, everyone worked very well as a team & were very friendly & helpfull. So lovely to be so near the beautiful river & swans but town was in easy walking distance, with the market & shops & restaurants, we has a great time & are hoping to book for half term.

Great site made all the better by the team working there. The facilities are maily spotless which they work hard to maintain but the occasional visitor can do their best to alter that! Location is fab if you like peace and quiet but within walking distance experience nightlife or country pub. The river running past the site is a sourse of entertainment for the fisherman or people watcher as boats pass most of the day.If there on a friday do try the Fish and chip 'wagon'.. We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this site. We are new to caravaning so wanted to go somewhere close to home for our 1st outing at easter time 2011. We enjoyed it so much we have returned 2 more times, May & July'11 spending in total 20 nights on this site. We have also introduced family to the site . We have 2 children and a puppy. The site is very well cared for, facilities are always clean and tidy. Staff are excellent always helpfull and friendly. The children made friends. No ball games are allowed but we were able to put up a badminton net and the children were never bored. The fish and chip van on a Friday is great, gives me a night off! The walks along the river were enjoyed by the dog and the children. We look forward to returning to this site.

Writing this review whilst on our way back home to Northern Ireland via Irish Ferries superferry Holyhead to Dublin.
The site staff made us very welcome along with our two colliedogs who had a super time with all the walks which are available off site, they could be walked for miles along all the riverside paths available in the area of the club site. We had only intended to stay one week but as we had enjoyed ourselves so much that at the end off the first week I approached the site office to see if they would have a pitch available for a second week to stay, the staff could not have been more helpful telling me how to cancel another previosly booked site before being able to book a 2nd week at St Neots, weather played a major part in deciding to stay on for 2 weeks in total, this is a very good site for families as just outside the site in the local park are all the outdoor facilities for children to thoroughly enjoy themselves all day long or until they get too tired to continue. also lots of river activity to enjoy, swans & ducks also river boats of all decriptions, caravans can actually be pitched within a reasonable distance from river bank so that you can sit outside your caravan & watch everything taking place on the river even saw a couple in rubber suits swimming in the river passing the site, as we enjoyed ourselves so much we will be returning in future years, the site staff do it justice with all the neatly cut grass & weedless pitchs(on hands & knees) pulling them all out

We chose St Neots as it is fairly local to us, although have never visited the town, and wanted to test out our newly acquired campervan.
Despite the road signs indicating half a mile to the site we were rather dubious driving through a housing estate but once on the site you'd never have known there were houses so close.
The toilet/shower blocks were always nice and clean. There's a nice walk along the river and walking into town only took about 10 minutes. If you like your real ales I can highly recommend the Pig n Falcon with loads of ales to choose from and a discount if you're a CAMRA member.
Probably not ideal for kids unless you're happy to either accompany them or let them go on their own to the playground just off site as there are no ball games allowed on site. This suited us on this occasion as the kids weren't with us.
I should point out this was our first C&CC site so have no comparison but we would certainly use it again.

Only been camping twice and guess what we been here twice, the place is lovely,!
The site the parks the town the pubs everything around here is so good.
The site has a good feel for being safe with the kids even though there is a river on it, cross the bridge and you are in a Victorian park with swans roaming, walk through the park over the main river and you are in the town with quite a few shops and lovely town square, sip a beer whilst watching midlle aged ladies park their harleys and r1's drinking coffee lol
There's a chinese and English chippy just outside the site and quite a few lovely pubs, only been camping twice and been spoilt forever by this site and area, I wish someone could recommend somewhere as good so we can explore other camp sites

We stayed here for three nights in July 2011 and it was the perfect site to sit back, relax and unwind. The facilities were excellent and the site staff very helpful as we had never been to the area before and they helped with all aspects of where to go and how to get there. The site is located right next to the river so you can just sit and watch the fishermen and the boats go by. It is excellent for dogs too although we didn't have ours with us on this occasion. Excellent links to Cambridge which is a lovely city and shops very close by for all you need. We will be returning as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had a 3 night stay camping.June 25th 26 27th,good friendly site, easy access to nearby pubs,St Neots town approx 15 min walk.nice town with x3 supermarkets,5 pubs, couple of food places ane coffee shops.
My only dissapointment was the fishing. The stretch of river that runs through the site (Ouse)is noy for the serious angler,as it is completely devoid of any large fish, after speaking to locals, they say this is down to neglect, lots of small roach and dace. This was a pity as im a keen angler and was the main reason for visit.
But from a site point of view, very pleasant.

We went to this site with friends in the week in April when the weather was unusually hot. We had a great time and the walk to St Neots town is along the river and through a park. The site is on the edge of a housing estate, but once in the site you wouldn't know there are houses near by. The facilities were spotless and he showers were lovely. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this site to anyone. We plan to go back in the near future, especially as there is a lovely Chinese resteraunt a short walk from the site.

This was my first time to this site. After reading great reviews, my friends and I thought 'Fantastic' a site for children. WRONG. This site is not child friendly and is jammed packed with campers. No ball games, the children can not even take out a bat and ball without being told off. The kids were miserable, as they so much wanted to play with the other children on the site. Also, we felt so sorry for a few campers, who, late at night, were asked to move their tents because they were shown the wrong spot and the owners wanted to cram in more tents. Not a nice thing to do at 10 o'clock at night, why couldn't they have left it until the morning. Also, the locals. They are very noisy and when we took the children to the park, we felt uneasy and unsafe. So after 6.00pm, do not take your children to the park and do not cross the bridge to the other side. A good note - the area of St Neots was lovely.

While we enjoyed our 3 night stay at St Neots overall there are a few gripes. The directions need some updating - Tescos cant be seen from the west approach on the A428 and overgrown branches prevented us seeing 'Eynsbury' sign and went on to the next roundabout and turned back - thankfully not too far! Then the route through the housing estate is a little unnerving particularly when we realised it is also a bus route. Fortunately we didnt meet one and at last saw a brown caravan sign at the end. However all was well when on site, which is well cared for, clean and friendly. I have never before seen a women's toilet block where the door from outside opens directly to the 3 showers (and the water was only tepid). Perhaps the intention is that users don't linger in the freezing draught.
The edge of the campsite alongside the river is not fenced, and is in fact a public footpath, so families with young children need to consider this.
As I said, we did enjoy our stay, and while there had the only whole day of sunshine, warmth, and no wind in our 3 week holiday from Sussex to Scotland and back!

This was our first visit to a caravan and camping club, having been members of the 'opposition' for 5 years! We were rather dubious on the approach to the site through a large housing estate to be more than pleasantly surprised! The reception staff were very friendly and we couldnt believe it when a member of staff promptly hopped on his bike to 'show us to our pitch' (take note 'opposition'!!!) He then proceeded to inform us of the local area and to let us know about the site. The showers and toilets were all clean serviceable, but we found the real joy of the site was that you could walk one way up the river from site through a lovely park for 10 minutes straight into St Neots and then on our return, 10 minutes the other way to a great riverside pub with good, reasonably priced food. We also found the site to be really quiet, which was amazing considering the amount of children around, all of which were well behaved. All in all a great site and the staff should be congratulated. Can't wait to return!

A lovely site and position. St Neots a town with charachter. Gorgeous park and river adjacent to the site. Can recommend the Chinese Takeaway a short distance from the site. I too give the showers a thumbs down, too high, not adjustable either, the only thing that lets the site down and generally I'm not too fussy. We spent a week here and were very lucky with the weather - warm and sunny.
The site is well-maintained and the site staff are pleasant and helpful.
The town is only a short distance away via a pleasant walk through the adjacent park.
We used the shower blocks towards the centre of the site (not the ones by reception). They were very clean and there was no shortage of hot water. On the downside, I wish that the angle of the shower heads was adjustable. I assume that the showers would be fine if you were tall, but for those of us who are small it is pretty difficult to shower when the spray hits you full in the face.
The site was lovely and peaceful, apart from at the weekend when it was fairly full.

Close to town, some nice walks and bike rides. Wardens are fine and explain themselves and decisions well. Sort the toilets and facilities out and you would have a top notch site.
