Just back from 3 nights in our first caravan, many thanks to the big Geordie+partner, wardens, great welcome and fantastic help as we were not sure of everything were doing, they usually at Oban site. Showers&Toilets spotless, easy towing, just the weather was rubbish. Definitely go back, after we go to Oban. Recommend.

Enjoyed a winter visit to the site. Staff pleasant on arrival.Facilities block was very clean and well heated.Plenty of local information, well presemted and tidy.
Site is fairly difficult for public transport, although the lengthy walk in to Perth is possible using a roadside footpath, only partly lit at night.
Have used the site several times, and will use again.Plenty of tourist options within easy distance.
Some of the site roads could benefit from gravel filling to avoid potholes, puddles and mud.
We were slightly disappointed that the fully serviced pitches were not available, depite being unoccupied....proximity to warden's accommodation a reason?

A very friendly site - wardens extremely helpful - had a family bereavement and needed to extend stay by a week and cancel another club site. All done by the site staff without any fuss or bother - excellent. Full marks as well to Bellingham site for their co-operation.
Other comments about showers being closed - we were there for two weeks and it did not inconvenience me in any way - we always use site facilities and found that Scone had one of the best toilet blocks in the club - try Canterbury for cramped !
TV reception in the bottom end of the site was not as good as the top half - only got about 15 Freeview stations but did not detract from the rest of the site.
Site staff first class.

A busy site, with every space well utilised for vans, so you do hear your neighbours but that can add tothe fun of the conversations and bar-b-ques! Fantastic warm, clean toilet facilities (1block only) which sadly unless site is full, the Wardens closed 2 toilets and a shower down for those other 40+ vans on the site. I find this is an ongling frustration with some sites. BUT these are definately the cosiest toilet facilities which is a huge bonus on a cold morning, so definately still worth coming to. Very easy access to Perth, Scotland's newest City with Scone Palace almost on doorstep - where all Scots Kings were crowned back in the day! Super local produce to be had here in the Scottish Heartlands. Would come again.

HI Folks,
As usual had a great weekend break in Scone campsite ,only one and a half hours towing up the motorway from home.
Really friendly staff again, only things that spoilt it a bit was two drunk females running around at 1.30 am looking and calling for a lost dog and a power cut from 11pm on the Sunday night, still wasn't restored before we left on Monday though? Be back soon though.

Very friendly and very clean. Our daughter was in plaster for the duration of our stay and the staff made every effort to make her comfortable. The disabled facilities were excellent.
For motorhome users: the service point was well positioned and easy to access.
The bus to Perth is a 20 minute walk however the service isn't very frequent.

Just returned from Scone and it was our first time in Scotland. The site is well kept, clean and tidy, tiolets and showers are very clean, and its very quiet. Would recommend eating at The Wheel Pub in Scone, meals and staff really nice, and you get a 20% discount if you mention you are at the campsite! Also the Toby Inn in Perth. Scone Palace is worth a visit as well about half hours walk from the site. Would recomend this site, we had a lovely relaxing stay.

We love Scone Campsite that much we spent three weeks there this year. The staff are absolutely fabulous and always have something to say even it if it’s just a quick hello in the passing. Even during the busy Rewind Festival weekend the site and toilets/showers were all kept extremely clean and tidy. The staff work well together . The little site assistant man always has a smile on his face and integrates well with campers of all ages and with his manager sidekick in toe they make a great team. The girls on the site are always busy at something. The shop is always well stocked. We would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice relaxing holiday.

Just back from Scone after the Rewind festival. Stayed in camp site, first time we have used a CC club site and it will not be the last. Made very welcome by staff, escorted to our pitch and shown where toilet/shower block was. Toilet/shower facilities were kept exceptionally clean even when the campsite was full of other festival goers. Well done to all staff who look after this lovely campsite.

Very nice site kept immaculate by the staff. Wardens are brilliant - very friendly and helpful even when they are being run off their feet. Site is next to Scone race course and you can watch the racing from the path that runs alongside. Good walks for dogs at the site and nearby. Super for wildlife. I've seen deer, buzzards, owls and a kingfisher there. Only 2 miles from Perth so easy access for eating, shows, shopping, etc.

This site is great,we have been here many times mostly due to the fact it's only one and a half hours away from home and motorway all the way up from Midlothian.
The staff are great,as are all club site managers. The showers are great and fairly new and the showers actually stay on for a couple of minutes unlike others when they only last 5 seconds and you're pressing the button again, lol

A lovely Campsite with excellent facilities. A little downside was when there were fewer people on site, they locked a shower up which then caused queues...
Not far from Perth which has everything you need, just check the local bus times before heading out :-)

Fantastic site. The toilet/shower blocks are second to none, with seperate family and disabled facilities. There is a recreation room full of information of what to do when and where. The reception and shop is well stocked and has fresh rolls every day and you can even have your morning paper delivered; how cool is that. 10 mins to Perth town centre, 5 mins to Scone. Great walks along the river direct fromn site. Our dog has swam for Scotland this week and has added a few more rivers to his ever growing list. This is truly a beautiful part of Scotland and would be an ideal stop off for a few days to an fro the Highlands. Will definately be back.

My first visit to Scone and definitely not my last. This was my fifth club site this year but the first on my own.
I had been intending to book a super pitch at Scone for some time eventually booking 6 nights in August and in the end staying 14 nights as I really enjoyed the site which was spotlessly clean, with great pitches, superb toilets and facilities. In addition a quiet relaxing site in a great location which I would highly recommend .
Enjoyed my time immensely and the site is a great touring base for Fife, Lothians and as a gateway to the Highlands. Only a couple of miles from Perth with all its facilities and mile and half from Scone itself.
I was extemely well looked after by Darren,Nicky,Barbara and the rest of the crew - a big thanks for your help and attention and also for arranging for my brother and his wife to have an adjacent pitch when they came down for the weekend - very much appreciated.
I'm looking forward to booking up for next year as my wife is going to come from Turkey this time as she adores Scotland (weather excepting).
Thanks again everyone from a happy camper!

Visited various sites during a short Highland tour. Difficult to judge which is the best one this or Moffatt as both are extremely excellent, although Moffatt village is walking distance from the site, so would win by a hair's breadth. Clitheroe was also very good. The remainder including Tarland and Nairn were just about OK but certainly not 5 star 3 at most.

We Booked for a weekend knowing that the weather was not going to be too good....lots of rain, on arrival the staff were very good, knoing that we had a tent they put us on a bit of raised ground right next to our hook-up.
nothing was a bother to them and made us very welcome.
Even through our first night...and in a rain storm, the staff were around making sure that we were ok.
This site was perfect for us and our two dogs, there are plenty of country walks and the Town of Perth is only a short drive (if you need to go).
We will be visiting this site again.

Just returned from this site, was shown to our pitch by the friendly warden.
As next to th race course was able to walk around with the dog as well as walked down to the river side.
This is a well kept site, with clean toilets and showers, which is a must for us.
And the site was not busy and we found it peaceful
Small childrens play area, and a leisure room with tourist information.
Short drive to Scone there is a Tesco express and bars that do food.
Perth is also a short drive away with a large Asda and a selection of fast food places as well as restaurants and bars.
All the usual high street shops, within the town centre itself.
Scone palace is within walking distance and worth a visit.
Will go back to this site and would recommend it

In the estate of Scone (pronounced 'scoon') Palace, right next to Perth racecourse the site has 150 pitches, all seemed level with a good mix of hard standing and grass, though it does not seem that large , the facilities are second to none , and must have just had a revamp.
Three showers are some of the best I have come across, just out of the entrance is Perth racecourse, what it would be like for getting in and out on race days I don't know , but non race days there are superb dog walks from the site, down to the river or around the back of racecourse, pert town is just down the road, but is just like any other town, with its usual mix of high street chain shops , well worth the travel is the town of Pitlochry full of character and small interesting stores.
Also it is not too far to St Andrews, in fact there is loads to do in this area and is one site where we left before we had exhausted exploring the area.
