Although we've camped for years, this was our first ever visit to a club campsite, so we didn't really know what to expect. On arrival we had a friendly welcome and were taken to our location. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities which were kept spotless. The staff are very friendly and the site is kept looking nice. We like the area around, especially the North Norfolk coast, and we definitely plan to return to the site.

If we could give this site 6 stars we would. Excellent facilities, friendly helpful staff and everywhere clean and well tended. Lots of areas among the trees give this site a fairly small secluded feel despite the number of pitches. Lots of walks and the sea close by. We will return !

Could not see any recycling facilities for bottles and cans. I feel this would be a good idea as many people like to enjoy a glass of wine or coke while on holiday and it should be worthwhile to have a specific container for these empties. Otherwise an excellent site and we will be returning there when the chance arises.

This is a lovely large site for families and family groups. Our kids aged 3 and 6 loved the playgrounds and the rabbits which are everywhere! We also saw deer in the woods. Our 6 year old loved cycling around and around the site quite safely with a troop of friends. The toilet blocks are clean, the sink cubicles have shower curtains which is always appreciated, the showers have benches and plenty of space for hanging clothes. The site staff are lovely and very helpful. The only downside is the shop which although well-stocked, is very small and doesn't sell wine (argh, I forgot it), luckily Budgens is down the road). If you have kids of a similar age, I think being sited around the first playground and toilet block is perfect for keeping an eye on them. If you don't have kids, there are loads of pitches offering peace, quiet and enjoyment of this beautiful natural site.

I have to admit I am not normally someone who writes a review but our experience at this site was a joy from start to finish. Despite the poor weather, the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we reported in to the day we departed.....other site operators should take note, a happy smiling member of staff results in a happy smiling guest! Thank you for making the last few days so enjoyable

Having inadvertently broken a campsite 'rule' by not leaving a pitch marker when going out for the day I would recommend that the site management should ensure visitors are aware of this rule on arrival. At the moment it appears in small print under Motor Home Service Point and if you know where that is you may not have read it. Losing our pitch wasn't really a problem but the brusque rebuke I received was!

Our first visit to this site and my only concern was it being a large site at Bank Holiday...it was fantastic, quiet and relaxing! The staff are the most helpful and friendliest, the site was incredibly clean and well proportioned, and in such a beautiful setting amongst tall trees and greenery, we could have stayed alot longer (weather was great too!). We took a short drive to Hunstanton one evening which is a direct route but I did notice there are many more attractions nearby which is another reason why we hope to visit again and again, great to walk Bailey off lead in the nearby woods too :0) 5 Star campsite *****

First time at this site, rebooked already for our main hols in August. Loads of space on this site and nipping clean, toilets, wash/shower rooms (3 blocks) very well kept. Ian & Maggie and all the staff should get a big pat on the back for making our stay stress free and relaxing. Can't wait to go back with the caravan this time for more R&R.

I stay here on an annual basis with my family, and we absolutely love coming back here! The facilities are always sparkling clean and the toilets are recently re-done. We have always requested to stay on block A, and the help of the staff is really invaluable! There is enough space between each pitch, so you don't have to worry about spacing issues, and my sister (12) and I (13) have made friends for life hanging out at the play park for the children. There are not enough words to describe how brilliant Sandringham is!

First things first, if approaching this site from Kings Lynn direction, ignore your sat nav. That aside and it would definitely benefit the club to have a decent sign on the main road this site is a great find. From the minute you drive onto the site, you are greeted by the most wonderful trees. The welcome from the staff was nothing less than friendly courteous and polite. The site is well laid out and easy to navigate. We opted for being close to the play area (having a 3yr old) it wasn't noisy. Everything about this place is perfect. The facilities were clean and pristine, the showers were piping hot, there were even fresh flowers in the gents....The weather was mostly kind considering it was a bank holiday weekend, the site was very busy but the wardens were always cheery. We had never been here before and used reviews to make our decision to come here, if you are anything like me, give this place a try, you won't regret it. You may even see us there as we'll definitely be going back.

Beautiful open, not regimented site, we chose a pitch between the trees. Sandringham club site is very quiet and perfect for a peaceful break. We spent 4 nights there and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the facilities were spotless and well maintained. Spent a morning walking around Sandringham House and grounds and had a lovely walk along Snettisham beach. If you happen to be a real ale fan, a visit to the Rose and Crown in Snettisham not to be missed. We will definitely be back.

Lovely woodland surroundings with choice of either open or shaded pitches. Toilet facilities immaculate with loads of hot water, washing up room heated and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Small shop stocked with essentials. Fish and chip van calls three times a week, uses frozen chips, disappointing and would not use again. Plenty of wildlife, the large amount of pigeons can be a nuisance though. The barking of dogs caused some annoyance, owners should not bring them if they are incapable of controlling them. Overall a superb, clean, well positioned site.

We have just come back from a two night stay at Sandringham. The staff were very friendly an helpful. We were guided on to our pitch but as I wanted wi fi the only area you could get this was in the first part of the park as they only have a wi fi aerial on the first toilet block. The toilets were spotless and the site itself was kept very clean. We shall most certainly be booking another holiday at this site, but next time it will be longer than two nights

First ever trip away in our new (to us)caravan. The site was well maintained, clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. Very accommodating when I asked if we could stay an extra night too.
Toilets/showers were really good and clean with plenty of hot water and the ablutions block was kept nice and warm - despite outside temperatures of -5.
The only downside to this site for me was the access road. I had visited the site in January whilst in the area on business and commented to the staff then that the access road was quite pot-holed in places. unfortunately nothing appears to have been done about it since then. Access is down a fairly narrow 's' shaped gravel road which has a very undulating surface and, if you drive at anything above absolute crawl, can cause the van the shake about a bit which is why I've only given 4*s for site facilities.
Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay and will return again once we've tried out a few more sites :)

Happy friendly welcome, by a happy team at reception. then the 'tour de sandringham' from the boys on their bikes are great to guide you to your pitch and offer any help you may need. pitches large, we managed to be on a gravel pitch, apparently more hardstandings are to be constructed this year, this will be great and enhance the site. There is lots to do and see round about. The House and grounds of the Estate are stunning, well worth a doorstep visit. No problem with the facilities over easter, in our block, no waits, keep very clean, allbeit a little outdated. Motor home service point very good. Only 1 negative comment the track into the site could do wth a little upgrade, to tarmac, a little bumpy, but I guess this fits in with the forest ambience. This site is definately one to come back to.

Just returned from a short break over the Easter weekend, had a great time. The site was clean, staff very friendly and close to lots of activities. The staff put on a good Easter egg hunt for the children, the adults also enjoyed it! Shame that the large shop is no longer there but basics catered for at reception with supermarkets only a short drive away. My son had a great time on the play areas, nice pub just down the road for Sunday dinner, will definitely book to stay again.

Having purchased my first caravan recently,i decided to spend the easter weekend at the sandringham site, my partner and myself both agreed what a lovely place to have a peacefull relaxing break. All facilities on the site are in excellent clean condition,no over crowding with pitches and very polite helpful site staff who actually take you to your pitch.
Local village shops or supermarkets all within 15min drive, and if anyone wants a day at the seaside, theres the resorts of Heacham and Hunstanton no more than 20mins drive away. Only one very small critisism, could do with a small shop for bare essentials. On the whole a very satisfiying easter for us.
We will certainly be returning there later in the year.

We stayed at Sandringham immediately after having purchased and collected our first caravan from a local dealer. It was a chance to check it out and become familiar with it.
The site, set among the trees, is beautiful. It was very quiet with only about 6 pitches occupied. Ian and Maggie gave us a warm welcome and helped us in every way possible. The toilets/showers and other facilities were well presented and very clean. There is no proper shop on the site. Maggie and Ian have just taken over managing the site are are awaiting permission to run a shop. It is needed since it is a few miles to the nearest village shop.
Because our car developed a problem requiring garage diagnostics, they even collected some shopping for us from Dursingham. Resolving our car fault meant we had to stay a day longer than planned but it was a joy to do so.
We loved the site and will be back for an extended stay to visit an area with so much to see and do.

we are just back from a lovely week at this site. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel really welcome. There are 3 toilet blocks as it is a very big site, all were of the usual CCC high standard. Great cycling from the site on the mostly flat lanes, national cycle route 1 is close by. You can walk to Sandringham house (about 15 mins) and the grounds are lovely. Lots of very pretty villages nearby too, and would recommend Brancaster beach which is a huge expanse of lovely clean sand. We will return to this site in the future, highly recommended.

I have stayed at this site a few times now and have always loved it....but this visit was ruined by big groups of rowdy people. Racket went on till midnight some nights. I had 2 young children and the language that was being shouted was disgusting. Myself and other campers complained but as far as we know nothing got done about it as it carried on for the rest of their stay! We were so disappointed by this that we have said we wont be staying there again which is a shame as both us and the children love that site.

This site is a top class site. The welcome we recieved was honesty up there with the best of them. Once we had checked in we were shown to a suitable pitch by a most friendly and helpful gentleman called steve. The site is very clean, tidy and we kept. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Even though it was extremely busy over the bank holiday weekend the park was peaceful. The site is well positioned as you have Sandringham House right next door and the beeches a short drive away so something for most people and ages. There are only two downsides to our stay one the site can control better the other is down to the visitors. The first which in our opinion the site could control better is the access to the family wash/shower room which every block had. These rooms are locked and you need to get a key from the site office, use the facitlities and then return the key - unfortunately visitors were keeping the keys for the duration of their stay and a result all the keys were unavailable and like other families with young children we missed out using this very useful room. The second down side was the one inconsiderate dog owner who allow there pet to foul in and around the site and don't feel obliged to clear up after them. Don't let the very minnor down sides stop you staying at a very top class site, we will be going back and we will continue to use and recommend the site.

Just came back from 14 nights at Sandringham and I must admit it was excellent. When we arrived after a 4.5 hour drive, asked if I could change from electric to standard and was no problem. I was given a choice of pitches and we went for a pitch amongst the trees. The staff were excellent and I must make a special mention to Si and Dave (doughnut!) who were always cheery and had time for my little boy and even shared some of his birthday cake. They became known as The Hairy Tractormen!. The site is quiet and secluded and there are lots of walks in the forest up to Sandringham House. A chip van comes three times a week Tues/Thur/Saturday and is very popular. The Feathers is a local pub which does nice meals. Some minor negatives. When each toilet block closes for cleaning the washing-up facilities and laundary are also closed. Also the Mozzies bit the hell out of us!
Overall a super holiday and we are looking to go back next year.

This is a very large site and we booked within 3 weeks prior to arriving. I expected as much as we got as it was a bank holiday weekend and schools 6 week hols. Screaming kids and barking dogs were the order of the day each morning from around 7.30am the earplugs worked wonders. We may visit again when all the schools are in term time as it will be invariably better. Too busy for us !!!

Sandringham is a lovely C & CC site - spacious and with plenty of room between units in July when we were there.
We were greeted at reception and personally shown around the site to choose our pitch. There weren't many children around as it was before the school holidays but there was a nice play area which I am sure gets heavily used in August!
Toilet and washing acilities were imaculate and plentiful and the motorhome service point was very useful for us. The whole site was kept in imaculate order. We had excellent value as we had a considerable discount from the Club in July. Altogether a very good experience.

We really enjoy it here; it's such a spectacular and much under-rated part of the UK. The site is big, but even when full is open and spacious. We always ask to be sited towards the edge of the site so really feel part of the countryside. Great for runners or cyclists with some wonderful routes straight off the site. Staff very friendly; our most recent visit had one of the brake drums on our caravan collapsing and they really couldn't have been more helpful - many thanks for this. Facility-wise a very good shop just off site, three excellent shower blocks that are always immaculately clean, and nice play areas for the kids.

I said here with my mum and my 2 boys for 3 nights and we al had a fantastic time. On arrival, staff were very friendly and very helpful, this was our time at this site and would definately be going back. You get to choose your pitch when you get there, which was great. Facilities were clean and spotless. There is a little shop stocking all your basics to souveniers, access from site through a little gate. The site has a fantastic atmosphere, very relaxed and would recommend it to a whole range of people.

A very smooth and polished arrival system managed by well-motivated, enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working staff set the tone for our weekend. The site was full to bursting and we thought that there would be queues for toilets and showers, but this was not so. The site is large and it is great to wander around and look at the other units. Some tenters had established canvas cities that would have made a Bedouin prince very happy! Great walks and cycle rides and Sandringham house is certainly worth a visit. The church is also absolutely stunning. Mosquitos in the evening were a bit of a pain and repellent is a must. Great site, great staff and highly recommended.

My second time at Sandringham, bringing the dog with me for the first time. We had an excellent 12 nights at the site. All the staff were very approachable and friendly, toilet blocks were clean and hot water was always available. The site feels very secure and is close enough to local shops and great beaches. This is was our first camping holiday with our young children aged 1, 4 and 6 years old. On arrival we were greeted and served by very friendly, welcoming staff who were very easy to approach and talk to. We were served very quick and also asked if we would like to be near play facilties or not. Which i thought was brilliant. The kids had a lovely time, even the 1 year old. It was ever so peaceful, and the weather made the experience even better. Lovely stay not to far from Hunstanton, lovely beach and Norfolk Lavender Farm. Also not to far from an Asda for essentials about 5 minute drive, though they also have a lovely little store on site. Lovely, facilties and also very clean. We couldnt find fault with the site. We definately will visit again soon!!!! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

We have been meaning to visit this site for ages, then finally managed to pick a fantastic sunny week, lucky us, and the Sandringham flower show was on! Although site has quite a few pitches, it doesn't feel big, lots of nooks and crannies, clumps of trees, nicely laid out with a mix of pitches, so it doesn't feel regimented, a mix of tents, caravans, trailers, campers. Good clean facilities. Good access to wildlife! Moles, grass snakes and toads! Super friendly staff, always had the time of day for a bit of banter. A couple of play areas for kids, though most seem to use their bikes on the paths that run through the site. I would say the only downside, and nothing to do with the site, is that there isn't a pub within reasonable swalking distance, although the Coach and Horses in nearby Dersingham is good and does great food, shame its not closer! Have already been recommending to friends and will definitely come again. If you are trying to choose between this and West Runton which we visited, think Sandringham has better layout and feel to it. Also this site is much better than the caravan club site next door, which though nice is very regimented and pitches very close together.

Staff were fairly friendly when we arrived and understanding about the needs of a young family; however, other staff were not so helpful or understanding and so we did not feel very comfortable here. We were placed near to the toilet block when we arrived but then told to take our two year old to the other side of the site, even though she was desperate for the toilet, as they were cleaning. The member of staff was very dismissive and we had not experienced this before at CCC sites. We would not recommend this site for young families.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Site very clean. It's quite a big site but you wouldn't know it unless you go to have a look around. Very quiet when we were there in July. A road passes close to one edge of the site but it's very quiet. There are fast jets, however, passing over a few times every day. Woodland setting with lots of trees on site. About 20 minutes to the coast by car. Lots to do: beautiful coast with its long distance footpath, old towns, pretty villages and a few National Trust places. Would gladly stay again.

We recently spent 6 nights here and cannot fault it. Being level it is ideal for tenting. The staff are extremely helpful and give you a choice of pitch. The three shower/toilet blocks are spotless as are the numerous water points. We used the sites wi-fi and found it excellent. Being surrounded by trees there is quite a large amount of birdlife, squirrels and rabbits. A mobile good quality chip shop visits the site three nights each week. Lovely site with lots of fabulous walks around and beaches not far away. Unfortunately the site was very full when we arrived and our pitch (19) was not great, being very close to the road and lots of diesel fumes when pitching, also water from the road just poured under the awning during thunderstorm! Also very noisy neighbours drinking until midnight spoilt it for us a bit but we will be back.

Just returned from a 5 day break at Sandringham. Upon arrival the reception staff and all staff were friendly and very helpful. A member of staff showed us to our pitch but gave us the choice of pitches. I paid for Wi-Fi and had access to it whenever i logged on. The site was quiet and very relaxing. The toilet and shower blocks were spottless and plenty of them. The water/waste points were clean and well maintained. A fish & chip van visits the site, a few nights of the week and the food was excellent. I visited the site shop ever day and again, experienced friendly and helpful staff. On the whole, a very enjoyable break and we will be returning later in the year.

Have been to this site many times but was disappointed by the cleanliness of the shower blocks. Rubbish and dog mess around the site was not very nice. Also there didn't seem to be anyone enforcing the site rules of no ball games. Balls were kicked at tents and cars for most of our stay, the warden did speak to the group but as soon as he went away they started playing again. I think they should put all the families together and leave space for couples who want some peace.

We have just returned after a 3 night stay over the Jubilee. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the fantastic setting in the woodlands.Sandringham house is well worth a visit and is only a short cycle away.
The only downside to the stay was the complete disorganisation on arrival, booking in is a complete joke. Considering the fantastic job that was done throughout the weekend with organising some great events, you would have thought that booking in would be a breeze unfortunately it was organised chaos!!!
Still despite this we do intend to revisit as it is a fantastic site.

Just arrived home from our second visit this year. We could choose where on the site we wished to be. There is nothing " regimented" about this site. We had a lot of rain but the land drains very quickly so that did not give us any problems. The toilet blocks had had their heating systems updated since our last visit and were very snug and warm.
You can walk from the site into various areas of the country park and nearby villages so you could leave the car on site for the entire holiday if you wish. It is also close to several R.S.P.B. and nature reserves.
We love this site and our holiday was made more enjoyable by all the staff who were helpful and friendly through out our stay.

It was definitely third time lucky when we chose to go to this site (our two other bookings had cancelled due to the weather and an electrical fault)
We recieved very warm welcome when we arrived. The pitches were all ok despite the heavy rain because-as the Warden explained-the ground is made of sand. The toilet blocks were clean and the showers always hot.
The dog walk was great,as it goes through the woods. My sons enjoyed making bridges and building dens.
The mobile Fish and Chip van arrived on Saturday and the meals were some of the best we have had.
The wardens were very knowledgable about the local area and we went on a lovely walk.
We would really recommend this site and we hope to return in the near future.

Sandringham is a lovely peaceful clean site. Toilet and shower facilities are spotless. They are closed for cleaning at a set time very day but this doesn't cause any problems as there are 2 other blocks to use. It is a large site set among the trees, but did not feel crowded, even over the bank holiday weekend we spent there.Having a motorhome, we looked at other comments about distance to a pub for meals. A fish and chip van comes to the site 3 times a week, including Saturdays. The landlord from the nearest pub,The Feathers in Dersingham, which is about 2 miles away, offers a free taxi service in the evenings for anyone who books a table. We had a good meal there. With three dogs and not a small motorhome we choose sites that welcome us and a big plus is a location where the bikes can be used-Sandringham certainly fits the bill!
As it is on the Sandringham Country Park dog walks abound & Norfolk is brilliantly flat for pedal power. King's Lynn is only 9 nine miles away via cycle network 1 and if you are feeling fit Hunstanton is also possible.
Sandringham is a big site so you could end up quite a way from reception & the just off site shop. LOok on it as more people to nod and talk to ask you walk backwards and forwards.
Just one thing to note: keypad barriers were being installed as we left and, unless in a motorhome or towing with a big 4x4 the keypad arm will probably take your wing mirror off if you aren't careful!

I would just like to let you know what a wonderful year we have had camping with the Club. I have taken a year off this year so had lots of camping breaks. We started our adventures in April at Winchcombe and travelled to Corfe Castle from there. We had glorious weather; the scenery was fantastic we visited Swanage and Studland Bay. In May we went to Sandringham, sadly the Queen wasn’t in, the site was set in beautiful grounds, and we visited Brancaster and Huntingham. Later that month we went to Hereford and here we visited The Weir and Symonds Yat. In June we went to Cheddar, Mendip Heights again outstanding views, we visited Glastonbury Tor and Wells. In July we went to Chipping Norton and we went to Cornbury Festival, we have been for the last 5 years, great music and wonderful atmosphere. At the end of the month we went to Veryan, again fantastic weather and views, we visited St Mawes, Falmouth, St Austall, Truro and local villages. We also camped at Bath on our way back to visit our daughter. August we went to Chard, not a club sites, not impressive. In September we went to Delamere Forest, had a lovely time at Chester and exploring the forest. In October we went to Preston, again not a club site, but we wanted to take our daughter to the illuminations .In between all these breaks we have had short stays at our second home Woverley. We would like to say every club site gave us a warm friendly welcome and we will not be going to non club sites next year. We store our caravan at Wolverley and sadly have just put it away for the winter, We would like to give a huge thank you to Carol and Mike Aspery, and their assistants for looking after us and our caravan for the 5th year, always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Looking forward to next season Merry Christmas to those now starting their winter break.

Had a wonderful holiday on a wonderful site. We had met the wardens at a previous site and they were as warm and friendly now as they were then! The site is in a lovely setting and there are great walks up to Sandringham. Would love to go back but not at this time of year, because of the SCI dog problems. Our dog has been diagnosed with cancer and will probably be our last holiday with her so would not have taken her there if I had known about the illness risks. The dogs in the adjacent caravans all got ill, I think we were lucky as I made sure that they weren't allowed off the lead in the woods and I washed their feet everytime we got back. Also, did a lot of the dog walking on the coast, which by the way, is stunning! Loved the higgledy piggledy parking rather than in a row like the caravan club site, but this turned out to be a disadvantage when a double axle caravan with a landrover was parked in front of us! Still had an amazing time and would go back, tomorrow!

Very pretty well kept site in the middle of the Sandringham estate. Good sized pitches. Friendly helpful staff. However if you are a dog owner do not visit from the end of August to the backend of the year unless you can manage not to take your dog in the surrounding woods. The Sandringham Estate appears to be one of the areas where dogs can contract a serious illness and ours did and has been hospitalised at the vets for the last 4 days and is getting worse not better and is not expected to recover. There are warnings on the gates to the woods but there is no designated dog walking area within the campsite. At the time of our visit within the space of a dozen caravans there were three sick dogs. There is no warning at this moment on the website about the danger to dogs at this time of the year yet when you arrive it seems to be commom knowledge and this problem has been around I think since 2009. If you do not have a dog an absolute gem of a campsite.

We picked Sandringham (a dog friendly site)because we have 3 Border Collies and 600 acres of woodland and lovely sandy beaches sounded perfect. We camped with friends, also dog lovers with 2 Border Collies, a Poodle and a Cockerpoo. So we have seven dogs between us. The site and facilities are 5 star and faultless, with lots of dog walking adjoining. Now for the bad news. We set up on Monday, having booked in until the following Sunday. On Thursday morning, the Cockerpoo was ill and taken to the local vet. Seasonal Canine Infection(SCI)was immediately diagnosed. We decided to leave on Thursday morning for home in Sussex as the Poodle was also showing symptoms. Today, Friday, our three Collies were ill, and taken to our vets. Two have been kept in on drips and will be monitored. Our friends two Collies have also been taken ill and the two little ones kept in on drips. That is all seven dogs taken ill. These are all very fit dogs which compete at a high level at dog agility shows.
I have since Googled SCI and found that it is common at Sandringham and other parts of Norfolk. Six dogs have died!
I cannot stress highly enough how important it is that dog owners should be made more aware of the risks of camping at Sandringham and that it should be published with the site information.

Good Points
Lovely setting - Sandringham is an easy walk through the woods. A large site with huge variety of pitches - we were allowed to choose our preferred one when we arrived - excellent washing/cleaning facilities which are kept very clean. A number of child play areas are also available. The site shop (which is shared with the Caravan Club site) is well stocked and didn't seem overly expensive.
The dog walk is superb and goes all the way round the edge of the site and can be joined at various places.
Fish and chip van was very welcome and was excellent quality.
Bad points
....errrr......nope can't think of any !!!!
In summary a superb site in wonderful surroundings which sets the standards for all the rest.

A lovely site despite the poor weather! and poor customer care from the start. The 'welcome' on arrival was not brilliant the lady had a very brusque manner and some insistance of seeing our membership cards, despite having booked though the site with our membership number on the paperwork! We are new to the CCC which she said she could tell!!!!! Can I suggest that the CCC make it clearer that Membership cards must be shown at all sites! Other than that shown to a choice of pitch which was lovely but again on enquiring if we could extend our departure to later on our departure day was told in no uncertain terms NO! This didn't leave me with a feeling of a Friendly Club, but don't be put off, the site is great and we will go back again and we'll be prepared for the check-in!!

We stayed at this site in tents for one night on our cycling holiday as it was just off the route one cycle path.
This is an otherwise reasonable site that is spoilt by the large numbers of pigeons living in the trees above and surrounding area where where we camped.
As a result the ground was covered in pigeon poo and by the morning our tents also had some poo on them. We even had pigeons coming near where we cooked, trying to beg food from us!
In my opinion this is a potential health hazard when cooking outside and is also not ideal for children to play outside.
This problem could easily be resolved by employing a pest control company.

Just arrived back home from a weeks camping, and i loved it. Went by myself for some peace and quiet, and i certainly got it. Staff were helpful (not that i needed to talk to them much as i had no problems), toilet blocks were always clean and perfectly working, the site was spotless with wardens regularly litter picking and the pitches were laid out superbly.
The beaches surrounding the area are brilliant, especially Brancaster beach which is well worth the drive. Dersingham (2 miles, if that) has a well stocked Budgens supermarket. I'll most definitely be back next year with the dog in tow!

Our secong stay at Sandringham and we weren't disappointed. Lovely pitch under the trees (shame we missed several pine cones when clearing the pitch!)despite the resident pigeons above! Our kids aged 3 and 6 were able to play safely around the tent. Staff were friendly and v helpful, even lending us a gas cylinder when we ran out mid-way through cooking tea! We have just returned from our first visit to this site. Wonderful pitch, in wooded area, although we had plenty of choice if we had wanted to move elsewhere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Shop was nearby for necessities, and it was a half hour walk to Sandringham House which is well worth a visit! Very easy to get to the coast and all those little beautiful beaches. Our favourite place turned out to be Hunstanton; a town about 15 mins north of Sandringham which was free from litter and not brash and'in your face' as some seaside towns now seem to be. The traffic on the A149 was very busy, but to be expected at this time of year. We did experience some noise from a few unruly children and footballs were being kicked around,(as experienced by other reviewers) but luckily not that close to our van. We are sure we will return for another visit, although we will take a slightly different route into the site, as the road we entered from was really bumpy!!! Regards, Al & Nova, North Wales

I visited this site for a couple of days as a backpacker.
The site is large, the facilities were excellent and were regularly cleaned.
For anyone using public transport to get to the site it is worth knowing that it is a 20-25 minute walk to the bus stop on the main road which is on the Coast-hopper route.
As to staff attitude I would have to say this was variable.
On arrival at the site I asked if there was anywhere I could charge my mobile phone later that evening. I was told that the reception was closed at 6pm but that there was someone on duty until 11pm and if I rang the bell someone would come and plug the phone in the office and I could collect an hour or so later. This I did on the first night of my stay and found the member of staff very helpful and friendly.
I followed the same procedure on day 2 to be met with indignant scorn by a different member of staff who appeared incensed that anyone should think being on duty implied that they could be expected to leave their unit for such a unimportant matter.
For this reason I would have to score the site lower for friendliness, and suggest that at least one member of staff should be reminded that the club markets itself as 'the friendly club'.

We have just spent 4 days of the school holidays on this site. We expected the site to be busy and noisy, but were pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful break here and would recomend it to anyone.
The wardens were very friendly and suggested a couple of pitches we could use for our large tent. The second pitch was perfect, under some trees and only overlooked by the tents opposite.
The site was very quiet by 10pm and no screaming children in the morning. Our own children slept in...bliss!
We all loved the location in the forest and the fact that it was only a short drive to the sea.

The only down side to the stay was the standard of the fish and chips we bought from a visiting van, frozen chips and poor quality fish which we did not eat it cost us £29.50 for the family this was bought on recomendation . It is impossible to over state the customer care that the wardens at Sandringham, particularly Barry and Wendy showed when we stayed on the site in early June. I had a heart attack in the middle of the night and as we were staying on a pitch quite a way from the office we had to pack me and the dog into the car and drive to the entrance to meet the ambulance, this was at about 2 in the morning.
We had to leave the car in front of the gate but Barry and Wendy got out of bed to make sure that we were alright. They looked after our car and the dog so that Louise could come to hospital with me in the ambulance. This speeded up our journey to hospital and no doubt saved me from more serious problems.
The next day Barry drove from Sandringham to the hospital in Norwich, a round trip of over 100 miles to pick Louise up.
I was in hospital for 5 days and over this time Barry and Wendy took great pains to make sure Louise was alright.
When I came out of hospital we stayed on the site for another few days then on the last day Steve and Barry, two assistant wardens took the awning down and packed it away for us.
Louise and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Sandringham for their care and would recommend this site to all members. We look forward to visiting Sandringham again soon, but with a little less drama next time.
Thank you Barry and Wendy and your assistant wardens.

A very worrying time for my wife and two kids, whom had not been camping before in thier lives. Well it rained! I felt that all my hard work of convincing the motly crew was shattered within one weekend. The rain stopped long enougth for me to get the tent down and everything packed up in the car. "What a lovely place" wifey and daughter said. "Very pretty suroundings, very friendly staff, toilets and facilities kept wonderfully clean, shame it rained, can we come back again." I think if it wasn't for the above remarks my days of camping would have come to an abrupt end, so to the staff of sandringham, Thanks, (supersize). See you again for Sure.

A fantastic four nights at a lovely site. We had a great pitch in the trees near all the facilities. For a site with 250 pitches it really didn't feel big at all. The staff were helpful and very friendly, the toilet/ shower blocks were always clean and never seemed busy.
Our dogs loved the woods around the site that were designated for dog walking and our two year old was impressed with the children's play area and more importantly the onsite digger and tractor :0). All we needed extra was somewhere to officially play with the ever present rugby ball because we did break the no ball games rule (you can get away with it when you are a cheeky 2 year old)
We will definitely be back because we only scratched the surface of what there is to do in this area too. The Sandringham estate and north Norfolk coast are beautiful for walks. The coast hopper bus made long coastal walks easy too.
For a dog free day we used the day boarder service at Dogotel near Little Massingham and it made so many things we can't do with dogs in tow possible.

We enjoyed a lovely stay in Sandringham and visited local coastal towns all within 20 miles of the site.
The site is very wellmaintained, easy to tow and pitch with a long caravan. We had no problems with 3 dogs and lots of lovely easy to get to dogs walks all round the site. Toilet and shower blocks were excellent and there were three big blocks, so never queued. Staff were helpful and offered different pitches. Busy at the weekend but still fantastically quiet and no noisy neighbours - would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

I aksed if we could stay after 12 and pay till 4pm but was told I would have to pay for both of us for the whole night - over £20 for 4 hours. Needless to say I didn't bother and came home. Next time we will go to the Caravan club next door, the staff might be a bit more friendly! Site lovely though.

Accessing the location of the site is not straightforward if you are travelling North on the A149 from Kings Lynn as we were. Don’t turn off right onto the B1439 for West Newton as the ‘brown’ sign is for the Caravan Club site. Instead, stay on the A149 towards Hunstanton and then take the next available right hand turn (early warning ‘brown’ sign for Sandringham). This is a more direct route and also the road has been resurfaced. At the junction before the two Lodges, turn right and then first left at the very small Camping and Caravanning Club fingerpost.
If you are travelling South from Hunstanton, there is the correct ‘brown’ sign for Tents and Caravans. I don’t understand why the same signage doesn’t appear when travelling North on the A149.
As for the site itself, welcome on arrival was first rate. We were allowed to choose where to pitch. We had two units, a motorhome and a tent and we had pitches with electric hook-up facing each other.
The site is big. Each of the three areas has its own toilet/shower block. However, not all have the same facilities. They all have toilets/showers/wash area but not all have chemical disposal or outside rotary clothes lines.
Facilities in our area, at the end of the site, were well-looked after and clean. However, of the seven washbasin cubicles, three were permanently locked. There appeared to be no reason for them being locked and I didn’t see any notices explaining why they were locked. This was irritating as it meant having to queue for the remaining four.
If your unit is a tent, make sure you completely clear your pitch of fir cones as the grass areas are littered with them. Also, if you don’t like wood pigeons, which are in abundance, and they do commence a collective dawn chorus as soon as daylight appears, best not pitch near the fenced-off woodland.
Overall, a good site.

I had very high expectations of this site given its glowing reports historically. It's in a lovely, very peaceful location. It is a large and uneven site. Understandably it gets very busy.
The staff are very "process" driven (again, understably) and I do have concerns that male & female staff clean the ablutions block with minimal annoucement. When I was there, unsurprisingly teenage girls were using the Ladies at 10pm, walking around in very little and it was always the male that cleaned the Ladies and the lady that cleaned the Gents !
Disappointingly, the shop has ordinary hours. Missing a business opportunity ?
Lovely walk to the royal house and plenty of opportunity for exploring the countryside.

Despite the downpour when we arrived (which was no fault of the site obviously!) we had a super stay. The site was clean and well maintained and our pitch (with electric) was perfect for our needs. Great spot for some peace and quiet but only a short drive to the coast for some seaside action. Lovely safe site for small children - our 7-year-old loved the freedom he had for riding his bike and playing 'dens' in the woods with his friend.
The only negative for us was that the site didn't have any fridges/freezers for campers to use. Reception hired out freezer blocks for 50p a go, but we could only get these during opening times which for us wasn't enough.
Highly recommended and we will go back when we want a North Norfolk holiday :)

The staff were friendly and the toilet block very clean. We do not usually choose sites as large as this one but felt that the trees around the site stopped it from feeling too big. We recommend going to Sandringham even if you do not want to go in the house & gardens, as you can park there free and have a choice of walks, as well as a scenic drive through the grounds. This is a really pretty site but when it is windy, which was every day we were visiting, the dust is dreadful. It took us 3 hours to clean our awning after we got home and still some of the dust has stained the material. One of our favourite sites - being tucked amongst the woodland it hides its size, retaining a friendly feel.
Loads of space for the kids to run around, units are mixed together nicely and the useful shop neighbours the site boundary.

Lovely well maintained yet still natural site located in a beautiful wooded area of the Sandringham Estate.
We particularly enjoyed the local wildlife and the privacy provided by the trees. The toilet blocks are very clean and the staff are very helpful. Lots of woodland walks and Sandringham is just down the road.
A highlight of our visit outside of Sandringham itself was the Lavender Centre in nearby Heacham with its great shops and cafe.

This is a lovely site set in the royal estate at Sandringham , it has mainly level pitches ,a lot are set in woodland among the trees, for a large site it never felt crowded and we were their in August ,and the facility were plentiful and spotless , it was about a 2 mile walk to the Sandringham visitors centre , and there was numerous woodland walks from the site.
There is a small shop at the site entrance selling provisions, you can walk from this site to the adjacent Caravan club site, where you will notice a difference in sites, the caravan club site is more regimented and all hard standing, which in my opinion spoils the woodland feel that you get with the C&CC site.
Masses of space for children to run about and play in woods, teenagers would maybe be bored if not into walking , this site is a dog owners paradise with all the woodland walks, its not to far from the sea side resorts of Cromer and Sheringham.

Camped here with my wife, 2 kids and dog.Had a more than adequate jumbo tent pitch. All toilet blocks close to camping areas.
There was a well stocked shop nearby selling all essentials. Staff were great, friendly and helpful.
Loads of wooded walks and beach was an easy drive away. This is one of the best sites I have camped on and will definitely be going back next summer.

Following a nice greeting and choice of pitch and being told a strict 6 metre rule applies, we were suprised after a day out 3 tents 2 cars immediately in front of our tourer and couldnt get our car any where near.
Also no recycle bins whatsoever, facilities old and need updating although clean. Over all top prices for medium grade site.
Good position for visiting Sandringham and on bus route.
