"Pitch up in the grounds of the secluded Sandringham Estate. "
Sandringham Club Site is set among wooded glades within the Royal Estate in this lovely East Anglian location, which is also close to the Norfolk coast. The campsite is screened from the local community and other visitors to the grounds and has a lovely, wooded feel - with many pitches between the trees - and a large open camping field.

The Sandringham Club Site is beautiful, with
trees between many of the pitches. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of interesting attractions in the area.

First things first, if approaching this site from Kings Lynn direction, ignore your sat nav. That aside and it would definitely benefit the club to have a decent sign on the main road this site is a great find. From the minute you drive onto the site, you are greeted by the most wonderful trees. The welcome from the staff was nothing less than friendly courteous and polite. The site is well laid out and easy to navigate. We opted for being close to the play area (having a 3yr old) it wasn't noisy. Everything about this place is perfect. The facilities were clean and pristine, the showers were piping hot, there were even fresh flowers in the gents....The weather was mostly kind considering it was a bank holiday weekend, the site was very busy but the wardens were always cheery. We had never been here before and used reviews to make our decision to come here, if you are anything like me, give this place a try, you won't regret it. You may even see us there as we'll definitely be going back.

Just returned from a 4 night break. Excellent!! Sandringham was very welcoming and the tour of the house and gardens well worth it. Various walks around including walks within Sandringham Estate. Beach at Brancaster well worth a visit. Campsite staff very friendly and welcoming and helpful with local information. Ideally situated. Facilities very clean and showers lovely and warm. Have no problem in recommending. Will definitely be back.

Excellent site with a warm welcome for all. Very friendly, hardworking team for whom nothing is too much trouble. There have been a few, very favourable, "tweaks" to the site this visit which all add to the general high standard already in place. One of our most favourite Club sites which never disappoints.
Beautiful open, not regimented site, we chose a pitch between the trees. Sandringham club site is very quiet and perfect for a peaceful break. We spent 4 nights there and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the facilities were spotless and well maintained. Spent a morning walking around Sandringham House and grounds and had a lovely walk along Snettisham beach. If you happen to be a real ale fan, a visit to the Rose and Crown in Snettisham not to be missed. We will definitely be back.

Lovely woodland surroundings with choice of either open or shaded pitches. Toilet facilities immaculate with loads of hot water, washing up room heated and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Small shop stocked with essentials. Fish and chip van calls three times a week, uses frozen chips, disappointing and would not use again. Plenty of wildlife, the large amount of pigeons can be a nuisance though. The barking of dogs caused some annoyance, owners should not bring them if they are incapable of controlling them. Overall a superb, clean, well positioned site.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups,Peaceful break
Quite simply EXCELLENT!!!!! Our first visit and despite the snow and bitterly cold north east wind we were really comfortable, cosy and VERY happy! Facilities are excellent - warm & dry and wonderful hot showers. Excellent location for exploring north Norfolk, superb dog walking in the lovely Sandringham forest and all friendly staff and visitors. Quiet, woodland, relaxed rural and delightfully informal setting - FABULOUS!! We'll be back!
We have just come back from a two night stay at Sandringham. The staff were very friendly an helpful. We were guided on to our pitch but as I wanted wi fi the only area you could get this was in the first part of the park as they only have a wi fi aerial on the first toilet block. The toilets were spotless and the site itself was kept very clean. We shall most certainly be booking another holiday at this site, but next time it will be longer than two nights
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Peaceful break
First ever trip away in our new (to us)caravan. The site was well maintained, clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. Very accommodating when I asked if we could stay an extra night too.
Toilets/showers were really good and clean with plenty of hot water and the ablutions block was kept nice and warm - despite outside temperatures of -5.
The only downside to this site for me was the access road. I had visited the site in January whilst in the area on business and commented to the staff then that the access road was quite pot-holed in places. unfortunately nothing appears to have been done about it since then. Access is down a fairly narrow 's' shaped gravel road which has a very undulating surface and, if you drive at anything above absolute crawl, can cause the van the shake about a bit which is why I've only given 4*s for site facilities.
Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay and will return again once we've tried out a few more sites :)
DATE STAYED: March 2013
Fantastic site. It was our first outing with our caravan and everyone was really helpful particularly with trying to assist with the problem we had with our water (turned out it was a broken pump!). Thank you!
We will definitely be returning.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples
Happy friendly welcome, by a happy team at reception. then the 'tour de sandringham' from the boys on their bikes are great to guide you to your pitch and offer any help you may need. pitches large, we managed to be on a gravel pitch, apparently more hardstandings are to be constructed this year, this will be great and enhance the site. There is lots to do and see round about. The House and grounds of the Estate are stunning, well worth a doorstep visit. No problem with the facilities over easter, in our block, no waits, keep very clean, allbeit a little outdated. Motor home service point very good. Only 1 negative comment the track into the site could do wth a little upgrade, to tarmac, a little bumpy, but I guess this fits in with the forest ambience. This site is definately one to come back to.
Just returned from a short break over the Easter weekend, had a great time. The site was clean, staff very friendly and close to lots of activities. The staff put on a good Easter egg hunt for the children, the adults also enjoyed it! Shame that the large shop is no longer there but basics catered for at reception with supermarkets only a short drive away. My son had a great time on the play areas, nice pub just down the road for Sunday dinner, will definitely book to stay again.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Active break,Peaceful break
Having purchased my first caravan recently,i decided to spend the easter weekend at the sandringham site, my partner and myself both agreed what a lovely place to have a peacefull relaxing break. All facilities on the site are in excellent clean condition,no over crowding with pitches and very polite helpful site staff who actually take you to your pitch.
Local village shops or supermarkets all within 15min drive, and if anyone wants a day at the seaside, theres the resorts of Heacham and Hunstanton no more than 20mins drive away. Only one very small critisism, could do with a small shop for bare essentials. On the whole a very satisfiying easter for us.
We will certainly be returning there later in the year.
Wow. What a lovely site. Met by the most friendly staff I have ever met and that was the start of a lovely peaceful Easter for me and my two dogs. Great walks off the lead for them, and a restful break for me. I can't wait to go back.
My husband and I have stayed at the site for a weekend. We really enjoyed the stay despite the bad weather. Even in bad weather you feel secure as it is insite a forest. Great place for walking the dogs and this Easter weekend we are back with our grandchildren. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the welcome was so encouraging. Will definitely be back in the summer.
lovely area for local walking and ideal for dogs. Great birdwatching area, with RSPB sites not far away.
We stayed at Sandringham immediately after having purchased and collected our first caravan from a local dealer. It was a chance to check it out and become familiar with it.
The site, set among the trees, is beautiful. It was very quiet with only about 6 pitches occupied. Ian and Maggie gave us a warm welcome and helped us in every way possible. The toilets/showers and other facilities were well presented and very clean. There is no proper shop on the site. Maggie and Ian have just taken over managing the site are are awaiting permission to run a shop. It is needed since it is a few miles to the nearest village shop.
Because our car developed a problem requiring garage diagnostics, they even collected some shopping for us from Dursingham. Resolving our car fault meant we had to stay a day longer than planned but it was a joy to do so.
We loved the site and will be back for an extended stay to visit an area with so much to see and do.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Active break,Peaceful break,Younger couples
Just returned from a fantastic five day break, the site was still quite and made for a very relaxed and peaceful break. The staff are super friendly and the facilities ultra clean If you like your site quite then this is a fantastic time of year to visit .hoping to get another trip in before Easter...

Our 3rd visit this year. What can only be described as great staff, very friendly & helpful. They made sure we were near our friends, even though we were late arriving.
Another great long weekend.
DATE STAYED: October 2012
Friendly welcoming staff, particularly Stephen who spent some time finding us a suitable site where we could receive sat signal! Very rare on this site!
Also wifi only works in a small area of the site but I understand it is intended to improve.
Otherwise, and for those who really dont need tv or internet (lots of campers) it is a lovely clean site, ideal for Sandringham (a must-see) and many other areas of Norfolk.
DATE STAYED: September 2012
we are just back from a lovely week at this site. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel really welcome. There are 3 toilet blocks as it is a very big site, all were of the usual CCC high standard. Great cycling from the site on the mostly flat lanes, national cycle route 1 is close by. You can walk to Sandringham house (about 15 mins) and the grounds are lovely. Lots of very pretty villages nearby too, and would recommend Brancaster beach which is a huge expanse of lovely clean sand. We will return to this site in the future, highly recommended.
I have stayed at this site a few times now and have always loved it....but this visit was ruined by big groups of rowdy people. Racket went on till midnight some nights. I had 2 young children and the language that was being shouted was disgusting. Myself and other campers complained but as far as we know nothing got done about it as it carried on for the rest of their stay! We were so disappointed by this that we have said we wont be staying there again which is a shame as both us and the children love that site.
Had a fantastic four night stay at Sandringham, very secluded but only 7 miles from Hunstaston a lovely lively seaside day out, or a few miles from Heacham for a less lively beach, surrounded by beautiful walks, didn't take dogs this time but will be back with dogs in tow, loved the walk into Sandringham house nice we could both go in, if had taken dogs one would of stayed outside.
Clean toilets showers and very helpful staff
Mark and Gill
We have just returned from spending 4 fantastic nights at the Sandringham Site. The staff are very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and activities. The site is very well maintained and very clean, set in the beautiful woodlands close to the Estate. We would recommend trips to Hunstanton, Wells-next-the -Sea, Marstons Quay and of course the Sandringham Estate Woods. Take Mosquito repellant!!
Excellent site, very quiet and peaceful, perfect if you have a dog as there are miles of walks all around, clean friendly and a beautiful setting would recommend to anyone. We will be back regularly.
Friendly welcome, very helpful wardens. Lovely spacious site. Kept very clean. Plenty of walks. Had a very relaxing stay and hope to stay again
DATE STAYED: July 2012
This site is a top class site. The welcome we recieved was honesty up there with the best of them. Once we had checked in we were shown to a suitable pitch by a most friendly and helpful gentleman called steve. The site is very clean, tidy and we kept. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Even though it was extremely busy over the bank holiday weekend the park was peaceful. The site is well positioned as you have Sandringham House right next door and the beeches a short drive away so something for most people and ages. There are only two downsides to our stay one the site can control better the other is down to the visitors. The first which in our opinion the site could control better is the access to the family wash/shower room which every block had. These rooms are locked and you need to get a key from the site office, use the facitlities and then return the key - unfortunately visitors were keeping the keys for the duration of their stay and a result all the keys were unavailable and like other families with young children we missed out using this very useful room. The second down side was the one inconsiderate dog owner who allow there pet to foul in and around the site and don't feel obliged to clear up after them. Don't let the very minnor down sides stop you staying at a very top class site, we will be going back and we will continue to use and recommend the site.
DATE STAYED: August 2012
Just came back from 14 nights at Sandringham and I must admit it was excellent. When we arrived after a 4.5 hour drive, asked if I could change from electric to standard and was no problem. I was given a choice of pitches and we went for a pitch amongst the trees. The staff were excellent and I must make a special mention to Si and Dave (doughnut!) who were always cheery and had time for my little boy and even shared some of his birthday cake. They became known as The Hairy Tractormen!. The site is quiet and secluded and there are lots of walks in the forest up to Sandringham House. A chip van comes three times a week Tues/Thur/Saturday and is very popular. The Feathers is a local pub which does nice meals. Some minor negatives. When each toilet block closes for cleaning the washing-up facilities and laundary are also closed. Also the Mozzies bit the hell out of us!
Overall a super holiday and we are looking to go back next year.
My daughter and I spent 2 nights here on a grass pitch with electric. To be honest all the staff were very helpful and very friendly indeed. We were shown where to pitch by a warden on a bike. This is a very large site and we booked within 3 weeks prior to arriving. I expected as much as we got as it was a bank holiday weekend and schools 6 week hols. Screaming kids and barking dogs were the order of the day each morning from around 7.30am the earplugs worked wonders. We may visit again when all the schools are in term time as it will be invariably better. Too busy for us !!!
SUITABLE FOR: Families
An excellent site provides for every eventuallity. When I arrived the site was really busy but whithin no time I had been met and shown to a site next to the rest of my family who arrived shortly before me. Never waited for showers despite number there over the weekend. The staff on site were excellent and friendly and I observed this with others not just myself. One guy even apologised for having to mow vacant sites at the weekend because they had been busy. Stars!!!!
Sandringham is a lovely C & CC site - spacious and with plenty of room between units in July when we were there.
We were greeted at reception and personally shown around the site to choose our pitch. There weren't many children around as it was before the school holidays but there was a nice play area which I am sure gets heavily used in August!
Toilet and washing acilities were imaculate and plentiful and the motorhome service point was very useful for us. The whole site was kept in imaculate order. We had excellent value as we had a considerable discount from the Club in July. Altogether a very good experience.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups,Active break,Peaceful break
We've made many visits to this fabulous site. Sprawling parkland, so always feels spacious. Very close to beaches and places of interest. The site is so clean and pretty, good shop adjacent. But the best aspect of this place is the wonderful management team. Always so professional, friendly, helpful, cheery and efficient. Barry and Wendy Thompson, site managers, are to be congratulated in leading such a great bunch of assistants. This is by far the best of the many CCC sites we've visited.
This is a great site for geting away from it all yet lots to do.good walks great for bikes.my kids loved it .staff are great with a fab welcome.i was trying new unit so hope to be back for longer.
We have been to Sandringham every year since we started caravaning (some years more than once, one year three times) We have also taken our grandchildren. Need I say more.I can highly recomend this site as it is close to some excelent beaches and (for me) good bird watching.
DATE STAYED: June 2012
We really enjoy it here; it's such a spectacular and much under-rated part of the UK. The site is big, but even when full is open and spacious. We always ask to be sited towards the edge of the site so really feel part of the countryside. Great for runners or cyclists with some wonderful routes straight off the site. Staff very friendly; our most recent visit had one of the brake drums on our caravan collapsing and they really couldn't have been more helpful - many thanks for this. Facility-wise a very good shop just off site, three excellent shower blocks that are always immaculately clean, and nice play areas for the kids.
I said here with my mum and my 2 boys for 3 nights and we al had a fantastic time. On arrival, staff were very friendly and very helpful, this was our time at this site and would definately be going back. You get to choose your pitch when you get there, which was great. Facilities were clean and spotless. There is a little shop stocking all your basics to souveniers, access from site through a little gate. The site has a fantastic atmosphere, very relaxed and would recommend it to a whole range of people.
A very smooth and polished arrival system managed by well-motivated, enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working staff set the tone for our weekend. The site was full to bursting and we thought that there would be queues for toilets and showers, but this was not so. The site is large and it is great to wander around and look at the other units. Some tenters had established canvas cities that would have made a Bedouin prince very happy! Great walks and cycle rides and Sandringham house is certainly worth a visit. The church is also absolutely stunning. Mosquitos in the evening were a bit of a pain and repellent is a must. Great site, great staff and highly recommended.
My second time at Sandringham, bringing the dog with me for the first time. We had an excellent 12 nights at the site. All the staff were very approachable and friendly, toilet blocks were clean and hot water was always available. The site feels very secure and is close enough to local shops and great beaches. We will be back next year!
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Groups,Peaceful break,Younger couples
This is was our first camping holiday with our young children aged 1, 4 and 6 years old. On arrival we were greeted and served by very friendly, welcoming staff who were very easy to approach and talk to. We were served very quick and also asked if we would like to be near play facilties or not. Which i thought was brilliant. The kids had a lovely time, even the 1 year old. It was ever so peaceful, and the weather made the experience even better. Lovely stay not to far from Hunstanton, lovely beach and Norfolk Lavender Farm. Also not to far from an Asda for essentials about 5 minute drive, though they also have a lovely little store on site. Lovely, facilties and also very clean. We couldnt find fault with the site. We definately will visit again soon!!!! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Peaceful break,Younger couples
We have been meaning to visit this site for ages, then finally managed to pick a fantastic sunny week, lucky us, and the Sandringham flower show was on! Although site has quite a few pitches, it doesn't feel big, lots of nooks and crannies, clumps of trees, nicely laid out with a mix of pitches, so it doesn't feel regimented, a mix of tents, caravans, trailers, campers. Good clean facilities. Good access to wildlife! Moles, grass snakes and toads! Super friendly staff, always had the time of day for a bit of banter. A couple of play areas for kids, though most seem to use their bikes on the paths that run through the site. I would say the only downside, and nothing to do with the site, is that there isn't a pub within reasonable swalking distance, although the Coach and Horses in nearby Dersingham is good and does great food, shame its not closer! Have already been recommending to friends and will definitely come again. If you are trying to choose between this and West Runton which we visited, think Sandringham has better layout and feel to it. Also this site is much better than the caravan club site next door, which though nice is very regimented and pitches very close together.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Active break
Staff were fairly friendly when we arrived and understanding about the needs of a young family; however, other staff were not so helpful or understanding and so we did not feel very comfortable here. We were placed near to the toilet block when we arrived but then told to take our two year old to the other side of the site, even though she was desperate for the toilet, as they were cleaning. The member of staff was very dismissive and we had not experienced this before at CCC sites. We would not recommend this site for young families.
SUITABLE FOR: Older couples,Active break
Everything was excellent, very friendly helpful staff, clean and well managed site. We will be returning in the very near future.
This was the first time I took my teardrop trailer out for a weekend. I had a fabulous time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The dog walking is excellent in the woods around and it is only 5 mins drive to the beach at Snettisham. All the facilities were spotless and there was no litter anywhere. It was lovely to be camping in the trees. I will be back!
Just returned from a lovely week at Sandringham I camp alone with my dog and felt very safe. All the staff were first class ready to help if needed. George (my dog) loved the walks in the country park and the many beaches close by.I found more than enough to do so will have to return!! Thanks everyone, staff, and all the people camped around us, we had a super time.
SUITABLE FOR: Older couples,Groups,Active break,Peaceful break,Younger couples
We stayed 4 days, and dispite the rain had a great time.
Staff helpful, Recomended
Just returned after 7 days A Sandringham
had a fantastic time, everyone so friendly, staff bent over backwards to
please. One in paticular stands out above the rest, Stephen nothing was to
much trouble. When we arrived wanted to see Andy Murry match.he tried 4 picthes
till we we had a picture. We will be back.
we have been many times to sandringham and have good times there.the staff are lovely nothing is to much bother they will always help you and they cant do enough for you.My grandson and his parents love it to. I think the marks for this site should be 100per cent cant wait to go back. A&B Shephard
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Site very clean. It's quite a big site but you wouldn't know it unless you go to have a look around. Very quiet when we were there in July. A road passes close to one edge of the site but it's very quiet. There are fast jets, however, passing over a few times every day. Woodland setting with lots of trees on site. About 20 minutes to the coast by car. Lots to do: beautiful coast with its long distance footpath, old towns, pretty villages and a few National Trust places. Would gladly stay again.
We have just returned from a most enjoyable three week holiday at Sandringham and could not have found a more friendly and helpful staff. The facilities and site were kept to the highest standard, despite some inclement weather. We would especially like to thank the staff for their help when our car required emergency assistance. We very much hope we will be able to return next year.
just returned from a weeks holiday at this site- only one problem a week was not long enough. The welcome we recieved was excellent, the staff always friendly and around the site. Lovelt clean site with excellent facilities, a real credit to the wardens and club. Looking forward to returning
Enjoyed our long weekend. It was our 1st break in our latest 'van. Everything was clean & tidy. Staff very helpful.
Wish I could say same about the weather!!
Still we were away, and that's what was the best.
As new overseas members we spend a long time from home ,sometimes for 6 months. What really makes the difference after a long journey and during our stay is the staff at the camping and caravan club sites.
The managers and assistants at Sandringham are wonderful ! We had the best welcome ever. Their profesionalism and good humour was terrific. We think being a site manager can be a tough job. Thank you staff at Sandringham for doing that bit extra to make our stay such a memorable one
Best wishes for the rest of your season
Geoff and Helen Melbourne Australia
On arrival staff were very friendly, helpful, and cheerful everything was explained properly.
Nice quiet and clean site ideal for visiting Sandringham House. Pleasant walks through the woods. Car needed to explore further afield.
We recently spent 6 nights here and cannot fault it. Being level it is ideal for tenting. The staff are extremely helpful and give you a choice of pitch. The three shower/toilet blocks are spotless as are the numerous water points. We used the sites wi-fi and found it excellent. Being surrounded by trees there is quite a large amount of birdlife, squirrels and rabbits. A mobile good quality chip shop visits the site three nights each week. We will definitely be returning here again
Lovely site with lots of fabulous walks around and beaches not far away. Unfortunately the site was very full when we arrived and our pitch (19) was not great, being very close to the road and lots of diesel fumes when pitching, also water from the road just poured under the awning during thunderstorm! Also very noisy neighbours drinking until midnight spoilt it for us a bit but we will be back.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups,Active break,Younger couples
Just returned from a 5 day break at Sandringham. Upon arrival the reception staff and all staff were friendly and very helpful. A member of staff showed us to our pitch but gave us the choice of pitches. I paid for Wi-Fi and had access to it whenever i logged on. The site was quiet and very relaxing. The toilet and shower blocks were spottless and plenty of them. The water/waste points were clean and well maintained. A fish & chip van visits the site, a few nights of the week and the food was excellent. I visited the site shop ever day and again, experienced friendly and helpful staff. On the whole, a very enjoyable break and we will be returning later in the year.
Have been to this site many times but was disappointed by the cleanliness of the shower blocks. Rubbish and dog mess around the site was not very nice. Also there didn't seem to be anyone enforcing the site rules of no ball games. Balls were kicked at tents and cars for most of our stay, the warden did speak to the group but as soon as he went away they started playing again. I think they should put all the families together and leave space for couples who want some peace.
We have just returned after a 3 night stay over the Jubilee. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the fantastic setting in the woodlands.Sandringham house is well worth a visit and is only a short cycle away.
The only downside to the stay was the complete disorganisation on arrival, booking in is a complete joke. Considering the fantastic job that was done throughout the weekend with organising some great events, you would have thought that booking in would be a breeze unfortunately it was organised chaos!!!
Still despite this we do intend to revisit as it is a fantastic site.
Thank you everyone at Sandringham who organised a fantastic Diamond Jubilee weekend for us.........being part of setting the new world record, face painting, bouncy castles and nature walks with David Bellamy......and to top it we won the best dressed caravan competition........ our boys just had such a fantastic time. Thanks to everyone at Sandringham, we will be back soon, fantastic effort by the Sandringham team.
We have just returned from our first visit here, 4 nights in a tent, and cannot wait to return. Beautiful site, lovely walks around the site for an evening stroll. Can recommend the lovely fish and chips delivered to the site each Saturday night. Well stocked store a short walk away.
Had a very relaxing break, can recommend a short cycle ride to Sandringham and spend a day in the beautiful parkland.
DATE STAYED: May 2012
Beautiful site surrounded by tree's. This was our first visit , and after returning yesterday have already booked for another 8 nights in 3 weeks time. Facilities warm and very very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Another little world absoloute paradise for us.
Just arrived home from our second visit this year. We could choose where on the site we wished to be. There is nothing " regimented" about this site. We had a lot of rain but the land drains very quickly so that did not give us any problems. The toilet blocks had had their heating systems updated since our last visit and were very snug and warm.
You can walk from the site into various areas of the country park and nearby villages so you could leave the car on site for the entire holiday if you wish. It is also close to several R.S.P.B. and nature reserves.
We love this site and our holiday was made more enjoyable by all the staff who were helpful and friendly through out our stay.
It was definitely third time lucky when we chose to go to this site (our two other bookings had cancelled due to the weather and an electrical fault)
We recieved very warm welcome when we arrived. The pitches were all ok despite the heavy rain because-as the Warden explained-the ground is made of sand. The toilet blocks were clean and the showers always hot.
The dog walk was great,as it goes through the woods. My sons enjoyed making bridges and building dens.
The mobile Fish and Chip van arrived on Saturday and the meals were some of the best we have had.
The wardens were very knowledgable about the local area and we went on a lovely walk.
We would really recommend this site and we hope to return in the near future.
This site is beautiful and would have been even better if the weather had not been rainy and cold the whole time hence this review. Our toilet block was not heated. This to me is a minimum requirement when caravanning out of season.
DATE STAYED: April 2012
Sandringham is a lovely peaceful clean site. Toilet and shower facilities are spotless. They are closed for cleaning at a set time very day but this doesn't cause any problems as there are 2 other blocks to use. It is a large site set among the trees, but did not feel crowded, even over the bank holiday weekend we spent there.Having a motorhome, we looked at other comments about distance to a pub for meals. A fish and chip van comes to the site 3 times a week, including Saturdays. The landlord from the nearest pub,The Feathers in Dersingham, which is about 2 miles away, offers a free taxi service in the evenings for anyone who books a table. We had a good meal there. Would definitely recommend this site.
Plenty of local information. A variety of local attractions, something for everyone, beaches nearby for younger members, many walks through Sandringham estate, Sandringham House,Museum and gardens are worth a visit.
We went for the easter break 2012, on arrival the staff member was blunt and certainly not helpfull although all other staff were great. as the site was full and the weather was cold the site electricity supply could not cope so we had no power for two of the four evenings we were there, I am told this is common at busy cold periods, I got stuck in the shower in darkeness with my three year old son in freezing temperatures that is not nice, we had to get dry next to the emergency lighting at the door! I am sure in the summer it would be a great site, but would not return when weather is cold. location is perfect
With three dogs and not a small motorhome we choose sites that welcome us and a big plus is a location where the bikes can be used-Sandringham certainly fits the bill!
As it is on the Sandringham Country Park dog walks abound & Norfolk is brilliantly flat for pedal power. King's Lynn is only 9 nine miles away via cycle network 1 and if you are feeling fit Hunstanton is also possible.
Sandringham is a big site so you could end up quite a way from reception & the just off site shop. LOok on it as more people to nod and talk to ask you walk backwards and forwards.
Just one thing to note: keypad barriers were being installed as we left and, unless in a motorhome or towing with a big 4x4 the keypad arm will probably take your wing mirror off if you aren't careful!

Sandringham CCP site is one of the best I have been on so far. The staff are always friendly & helpful- 2011 staff were exceptional- Facilities are well maintained every day.We dont live far away, but the break away from the normal routine is superb at Sandringham- always something new to see or do. People we meet too are always pleased to share a tip & friendly chat. This year's Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be a bonus arround the area

The staff were extremely helpful and the site was clean. We have been to this site approximately 12 times and have never had any problems. The access road could do with levelling out but that will not stop us from coming again. Plently of walks and cycle paths nearby, visitor centre for a nice coffee and cake. The town of King's Lyyn is close as is the coast at Hunstanton. There is plenty to do in West Norfolk and would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay there.

Fantastic site and very clean. facilities all up to date. staff very friendly and helpful.

I would just like to let you know what a wonderful year we have had camping with the Club. I have taken a year off this year so had lots of camping breaks. We started our adventures in April at Winchcombe and travelled to Corfe Castle from there. We had glorious weather; the scenery was fantastic we visited Swanage and Studland Bay. In May we went to Sandringham, sadly the Queen wasn’t in, the site was set in beautiful grounds, and we visited Brancaster and Huntingham. Later that month we went to Hereford and here we visited The Weir and Symonds Yat. In June we went to Cheddar, Mendip Heights again outstanding views, we visited Glastonbury Tor and Wells. In July we went to Chipping Norton and we went to Cornbury Festival, we have been for the last 5 years, great music and wonderful atmosphere. At the end of the month we went to Veryan, again fantastic weather and views, we visited St Mawes, Falmouth, St Austall, Truro and local villages. We also camped at Bath on our way back to visit our daughter. August we went to Chard, not a club sites, not impressive. In September we went to Delamere Forest, had a lovely time at Chester and exploring the forest. In October we went to Preston, again not a club site, but we wanted to take our daughter to the illuminations .In between all these breaks we have had short stays at our second home Woverley. We would like to say every club site gave us a warm friendly welcome and we will not be going to non club sites next year. We store our caravan at Wolverley and sadly have just put it away for the winter, We would like to give a huge thank you to Carol and Mike Aspery, and their assistants for looking after us and our caravan for the 5th year, always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Looking forward to next season Merry Christmas to those now starting their winter break.
Very satisfied customers

first time on this site but not our last superb staff very friendly site was perfect and very clean. where can you sit and have breakfast and watch squirrels playing. had a walk to sandringham house very good.coming back when lavender is in bloom. we went when we had the late hot weather which made it even better
Had a wonderful holiday on a wonderful site. We had met the wardens at a previous site and they were as warm and friendly now as they were then! The site is in a lovely setting and there are great walks up to Sandringham. Would love to go back but not at this time of year, because of the SCI dog problems. Our dog has been diagnosed with cancer and will probably be our last holiday with her so would not have taken her there if I had known about the illness risks. The dogs in the adjacent caravans all got ill, I think we were lucky as I made sure that they weren't allowed off the lead in the woods and I washed their feet everytime we got back. Also, did a lot of the dog walking on the coast, which by the way, is stunning! Loved the higgledy piggledy parking rather than in a row like the caravan club site, but this turned out to be a disadvantage when a double axle caravan with a landrover was parked in front of us! Still had an amazing time and would go back, tomorrow!
what a lovely friendly site just about to book again !
DATE STAYED: August 2011
This was our first camping trip and the all the staff where very helpful, the site facilities where excellent and very clean, very easy bike ride to sandringham house and visitirs centre, we would reccomend to anyone.
A tranquil wooded site set in beautiful countryside where one is surrounded by birdsong. Wonderful walks through the Sandringham Estate are easily accessible direct from the site and we were lucky enough to spot deer. Sandringham House was definitely worth a visit. Arriving at the campsite we received a very warm and most helpful welcome, particularly from Barry (our warden of the year)! Nothing was too much trouble for him. We shall be returning next year.
We were blown away by the welcome and politeness of the staff nothing was too much trouble. We were asked where we wanted to go and were suitably pitched it was one of the best holidays we have had for a few years and will certainly be back in the not too distant future.
The only hitch was the tv reception but we have now got ourselves a satellite system so no more problems.
Very pretty well kept site in the middle of the Sandringham estate. Good sized pitches. Friendly helpful staff. However if you are a dog owner do not visit from the end of August to the backend of the year unless you can manage not to take your dog in the surrounding woods. The Sandringham Estate appears to be one of the areas where dogs can contract a serious illness and ours did and has been hospitalised at the vets for the last 4 days and is getting worse not better and is not expected to recover. There are warnings on the gates to the woods but there is no designated dog walking area within the campsite. At the time of our visit within the space of a dozen caravans there were three sick dogs. There is no warning at this moment on the website about the danger to dogs at this time of the year yet when you arrive it seems to be commom knowledge and this problem has been around I think since 2009. If you do not have a dog an absolute gem of a campsite.
We picked Sandringham (a dog friendly site)because we have 3 Border Collies and 600 acres of woodland and lovely sandy beaches sounded perfect. We camped with friends, also dog lovers with 2 Border Collies, a Poodle and a Cockerpoo. So we have seven dogs between us. The site and facilities are 5 star and faultless, with lots of dog walking adjoining. Now for the bad news. We set up on Monday, having booked in until the following Sunday. On Thursday morning, the Cockerpoo was ill and taken to the local vet. Seasonal Canine Infection(SCI)was immediately diagnosed. We decided to leave on Thursday morning for home in Sussex as the Poodle was also showing symptoms. Today, Friday, our three Collies were ill, and taken to our vets. Two have been kept in on drips and will be monitored. Our friends two Collies have also been taken ill and the two little ones kept in on drips. That is all seven dogs taken ill. These are all very fit dogs which compete at a high level at dog agility shows.
I have since Googled SCI and found that it is common at Sandringham and other parts of Norfolk. Six dogs have died!
I cannot stress highly enough how important it is that dog owners should be made more aware of the risks of camping at Sandringham and that it should be published with the site information.
Lovely setting - Sandringham is an easy walk through the woods. A large site with huge variety of pitches - we were allowed to choose our preferred one when we arrived - excellent washing/cleaning facilities which are kept very clean. A number of child play areas are also available. The site shop (which is shared with the Caravan Club site) is well stocked and didn't seem overly expensive.
The dog walk is superb and goes all the way round the edge of the site and can be joined at various places.
Fish and chip van was very welcome and was excellent quality.
....errrr......nope can't think of any !!!!
In summary a superb site in wonderful surroundings which sets the standards for all the rest.
DATE STAYED: July 2011
A lovely site despite the poor weather! and poor customer care from the start. The 'welcome' on arrival was not brilliant the lady had a very brusque manner and some insistance of seeing our membership cards, despite having booked though the site with our membership number on the paperwork! We are new to the CCC which she said she could tell!!!!! Can I suggest that the CCC make it clearer that Membership cards must be shown at all sites! Other than that shown to a choice of pitch which was lovely but again on enquiring if we could extend our departure to later on our departure day was told in no uncertain terms NO! This didn't leave me with a feeling of a Friendly Club, but don't be put off, the site is great and we will go back again and we'll be prepared for the check-in!!
We stayed at this site in tents for one night on our cycling holiday as it was just off the route one cycle path.
This is an otherwise reasonable site that is spoilt by the large numbers of pigeons living in the trees above and surrounding area where where we camped.
As a result the ground was covered in pigeon poo and by the morning our tents also had some poo on them. We even had pigeons coming near where we cooked, trying to beg food from us!
In my opinion this is a potential health hazard when cooking outside and is also not ideal for children to play outside.
This problem could easily be resolved by employing a pest control company.
Very nice and pretty site, facilities immaculate, warm and friendly welcome on arrival, would definately recommend

SUITABLE FOR: Peaceful break
Just arrived back home from a weeks camping, and i loved it. Went by myself for some peace and quiet, and i certainly got it. Staff were helpful (not that i needed to talk to them much as i had no problems), toilet blocks were always clean and perfectly working, the site was spotless with wardens regularly litter picking and the pitches were laid out superbly.
The beaches surrounding the area are brilliant, especially Brancaster beach which is well worth the drive. Dersingham (2 miles, if that) has a well stocked Budgens supermarket. I'll most definitely be back next year with the dog in tow!
Our secong stay at Sandringham and we weren't disappointed. Lovely pitch under the trees (shame we missed several pine cones when clearing the pitch!)despite the resident pigeons above! Our kids aged 3 and 6 were able to play safely around the tent. Staff were friendly and v helpful, even lending us a gas cylinder when we ran out mid-way through cooking tea! We love this area of Norfolk - we will be back... :-)
We have just returned from our first visit to this site. Wonderful pitch, in wooded area, although we had plenty of choice if we had wanted to move elsewhere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Shop was nearby for necessities, and it was a half hour walk to Sandringham House which is well worth a visit! Very easy to get to the coast and all those little beautiful beaches. Our favourite place turned out to be Hunstanton; a town about 15 mins north of Sandringham which was free from litter and not brash and'in your face' as some seaside towns now seem to be. The traffic on the A149 was very busy, but to be expected at this time of year. We did experience some noise from a few unruly children and footballs were being kicked around,(as experienced by other reviewers) but luckily not that close to our van. We are sure we will return for another visit, although we will take a slightly different route into the site, as the road we entered from was really bumpy!!! Regards, Al & Nova, North Wales
I visited this site for a couple of days as a backpacker.
The site is large, the facilities were excellent and were regularly cleaned.
For anyone using public transport to get to the site it is worth knowing that it is a 20-25 minute walk to the bus stop on the main road which is on the Coast-hopper route.
As to staff attitude I would have to say this was variable.
On arrival at the site I asked if there was anywhere I could charge my mobile phone later that evening. I was told that the reception was closed at 6pm but that there was someone on duty until 11pm and if I rang the bell someone would come and plug the phone in the office and I could collect an hour or so later. This I did on the first night of my stay and found the member of staff very helpful and friendly.
I followed the same procedure on day 2 to be met with indignant scorn by a different member of staff who appeared incensed that anyone should think being on duty implied that they could be expected to leave their unit for such a unimportant matter.
For this reason I would have to score the site lower for friendliness, and suggest that at least one member of staff should be reminded that the club markets itself as 'the friendly club'.
We have just spent 4 days of the school holidays on this site. We expected the site to be busy and noisy, but were pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful break here and would recomend it to anyone.
The wardens were very friendly and suggested a couple of pitches we could use for our large tent. The second pitch was perfect, under some trees and only overlooked by the tents opposite.
The site was very quiet by 10pm and no screaming children in the morning. Our own children slept in...bliss!
We all loved the location in the forest and the fact that it was only a short drive to the sea.
Stayed here with my family in two tents, were given two pitches next to each other could not have been better. The staff were very helpful and we found the site very clean and well run.The shop was very good and well stocked. This is our third visit to this site and will return. The only down side to the stay was the standard of the fish and chips we bought from a visiting van, frozen chips and poor quality fish which we did not eat it cost us £29.50 for the family this was bought on recomendation . Just a waste of money do not buy.
Lovely secluded site with open spaces Signs could be clearer for the local club which is close by. Fish and chips wonderful. very helpful staff on site.
DATE STAYED: June 2011
The staff were so helpful, especially when the Camper Van refused to leave !
Great for small or large distance walking. A really good site.
It is impossible to over state the customer care that the wardens at Sandringham, particularly Barry and Wendy showed when we stayed on the site in early June. I had a heart attack in the middle of the night and as we were staying on a pitch quite a way from the office we had to pack me and the dog into the car and drive to the entrance to meet the ambulance, this was at about 2 in the morning.
We had to leave the car in front of the gate but Barry and Wendy got out of bed to make sure that we were alright. They looked after our car and the dog so that Louise could come to hospital with me in the ambulance. This speeded up our journey to hospital and no doubt saved me from more serious problems.
The next day Barry drove from Sandringham to the hospital in Norwich, a round trip of over 100 miles to pick Louise up.
I was in hospital for 5 days and over this time Barry and Wendy took great pains to make sure Louise was alright.
When I came out of hospital we stayed on the site for another few days then on the last day Steve and Barry, two assistant wardens took the awning down and packed it away for us.
Louise and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Sandringham for their care and would recommend this site to all members. We look forward to visiting Sandringham again soon, but with a little less drama next time.
Thank you Barry and Wendy and your assistant wardens.
From Eric and Louise Turner
A very worrying time for my wife and two kids, whom had not been camping before in thier lives. Well it rained! I felt that all my hard work of convincing the motly crew was shattered within one weekend. The rain stopped long enougth for me to get the tent down and everything packed up in the car. "What a lovely place" wifey and daughter said. "Very pretty suroundings, very friendly staff, toilets and facilities kept wonderfully clean, shame it rained, can we come back again." I think if it wasn't for the above remarks my days of camping would have come to an abrupt end, so to the staff of sandringham, Thanks, (supersize). See you again for Sure.
Excellent site with new up to date facilities. Very quiet and clean. Highly recommended.
A fantastic four nights at a lovely site. We had a great pitch in the trees near all the facilities. For a site with 250 pitches it really didn't feel big at all. The staff were helpful and very friendly, the toilet/ shower blocks were always clean and never seemed busy.
Our dogs loved the woods around the site that were designated for dog walking and our two year old was impressed with the children's play area and more importantly the onsite digger and tractor :0). All we needed extra was somewhere to officially play with the ever present rugby ball because we did break the no ball games rule (you can get away with it when you are a cheeky 2 year old)
We will definitely be back because we only scratched the surface of what there is to do in this area too. The Sandringham estate and north Norfolk coast are beautiful for walks. The coast hopper bus made long coastal walks easy too.
For a dog free day we used the day boarder service at Dogotel near Little Massingham and it made so many things we can't do with dogs in tow possible.
We enjoyed a lovely stay in Sandringham and visited local coastal towns all within 20 miles of the site.
The site is very wellmaintained, easy to tow and pitch with a long caravan. We had no problems with 3 dogs and lots of lovely easy to get to dogs walks all round the site. Toilet and shower blocks were excellent and there were three big blocks, so never queued. Staff were helpful and offered different pitches. Busy at the weekend but still fantastically quiet and no noisy neighbours - would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
Excellent site, wonderful dog walking.
We found a delicious Deli/Cafe at Thornham well worth a visit, we had 2 lunches and 1 evening Tapas there, its on the main road you cannot miss it. The crabs are very tasty and plentiful!
We had just picked up our first motorhome and drove straight to site with our two dogs, reception staff really really friendly, took us to our pitch, chap who took us there on his bike was really nice and humorous, we had a lovely one night stay, visited the beach nearby, brilliant for dogs surrounded by woodland, we kept them on leads otherwise they would gone off for rabbits, showers/toilets very clean, we also used the shop which was very nice. Would highly recommend and we will be back ! Thank you
Just had 2 weeks on this site . Great location to explore from , Great coastal locations to discover, the broards nearby. good roads and village locations. Well worth a visit.
We had a great weekend at Sandringham. We camped under the trees in a secluded clearing....lovely.
The Wardens were great....really helpful and friendly - in fact the best we've met so far....they took lots of time helping us choose the pitch we wanted and nothing was too much trouble.
This was our first visit to Sandringham, and boy we were not disappointed ,the site is beautifully situated in the woods surrounding Sandringham house.
On arrival the very friendly staff showed us to our pitch and helped us to position our unit. The first thing that strikes you is how peaceful it is,don't be put off by the size of the site (huge)its lovely, the amenities were always clean and modern showers (not push button )were a real bonus. The shop is well stocked but there is a Budgens 1.5 miles away so we used that, the pub in nearby Castle Rising was nice with good food,if you have dogs in tow its perfect,in all cant wait to visit again.
after 25 years away from camping this was the site to reignight our love of camping.was easy to find we were made to feel realy welcome, gived a great spot to pitch our tent.intending to stay for one night to see if two older citezens could cope we stayed 4 days.we will return.
DATE STAYED: June 2010
Havin been to the site twice before as we love it, I was suprised to be asked for my husband's membership card as well as my own. The admin staff in the office wouldn't give me my card back until I had been to the car to get my husband's card as well, building up a que of people to pay behind me. I aksed if we could stay after 12 and pay till 4pm but was told I would have to pay for both of us for the whole night - over £20 for 4 hours. Needless to say I didn't bother and came home. Next time we will go to the Caravan club next door, the staff might be a bit more friendly! Site lovely though.
This was our first trip with our RV and the staff could not have been more helpful. It was pouring with rain but Adrian was happy to take the time to explain everything to us and help us setup on our pitch. The facilities were good and very clean and the dog walking areas were fantastic. We will definately be returning for another visit.
SUITABLE FOR: Peaceful break,Younger couples
Wonderful site, staff were very friendly and helpful - especially when we realised we hadnt taken the keys with us to unhitch our unit from the car and a set of spanners were needed.... The site was always clean even when it rained. Our 3 year old son loved the squirrels and rabbits and chasing the pigeons. Sandringham is well worth a visit and there are plenty of attractions close by. We will definitely recommend the site to our friends and will definitely return to the site in the future.
Accessing the location of the site is not straightforward if you are travelling North on the A149 from Kings Lynn as we were. Don’t turn off right onto the B1439 for West Newton as the ‘brown’ sign is for the Caravan Club site. Instead, stay on the A149 towards Hunstanton and then take the next available right hand turn (early warning ‘brown’ sign for Sandringham). This is a more direct route and also the road has been resurfaced. At the junction before the two Lodges, turn right and then first left at the very small Camping and Caravanning Club fingerpost.
If you are travelling South from Hunstanton, there is the correct ‘brown’ sign for Tents and Caravans. I don’t understand why the same signage doesn’t appear when travelling North on the A149.
As for the site itself, welcome on arrival was first rate. We were allowed to choose where to pitch. We had two units, a motorhome and a tent and we had pitches with electric hook-up facing each other.
The site is big. Each of the three areas has its own toilet/shower block. However, not all have the same facilities. They all have toilets/showers/wash area but not all have chemical disposal or outside rotary clothes lines.
Facilities in our area, at the end of the site, were well-looked after and clean. However, of the seven washbasin cubicles, three were permanently locked. There appeared to be no reason for them being locked and I didn’t see any notices explaining why they were locked. This was irritating as it meant having to queue for the remaining four.
If your unit is a tent, make sure you completely clear your pitch of fir cones as the grass areas are littered with them. Also, if you don’t like wood pigeons, which are in abundance, and they do commence a collective dawn chorus as soon as daylight appears, best not pitch near the fenced-off woodland.
Overall, a good site.
Expected to see loads of rabbits given earlier reviews but I guess they dont like the rain too much!
Easy access but very slow on the last road before the site as it's incredibly bumpy.
looking forward to going back.
Just returned after "another" trip to Sandringham and I have to say the staff on site this time around were the most helpful yet ! couldnt do enough for us ( forgot a rather critical piece of caravanning equipment - the team were only too happy to help !! ) Our kids have a ball too - socialising and making new friends, We cant rate this site highly enough. Will be returning very soon without a doubt !
We stayed for the bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great base for exploring north norfolk.
the beach at old Hunstanton is massive and allows dogs on.
Excellent site if you have dogs as there are loads of forrest walks straight from your pitch.
Very welcoming staff who were helpful
Nice half hour walk to the local village Dersingham where there are a couple of pubs that do good food and the locals are really friendly and made us welcome. one of the pub landlords offered us a lift back to the site!!!! declined him though as having 2 border terriers they are better when tired.
I had very high expectations of this site given its glowing reports historically. It's in a lovely, very peaceful location. It is a large and uneven site. Understandably it gets very busy.
The staff are very "process" driven (again, understably) and I do have concerns that male & female staff clean the ablutions block with minimal annoucement. When I was there, unsurprisingly teenage girls were using the Ladies at 10pm, walking around in very little and it was always the male that cleaned the Ladies and the lady that cleaned the Gents !
Disappointingly, the shop has ordinary hours. Missing a business opportunity ?
Lovely walk to the royal house and plenty of opportunity for exploring the countryside.
I rate the site as "OK".
Despite the downpour when we arrived (which was no fault of the site obviously!) we had a super stay. The site was clean and well maintained and our pitch (with electric) was perfect for our needs. Great spot for some peace and quiet but only a short drive to the coast for some seaside action. Lovely safe site for small children - our 7-year-old loved the freedom he had for riding his bike and playing 'dens' in the woods with his friend.
The only negative for us was that the site didn't have any fridges/freezers for campers to use. Reception hired out freezer blocks for 50p a go, but we could only get these during opening times which for us wasn't enough.
Highly recommended and we will go back when we want a North Norfolk holiday :)
Stayed over the May Bank holiday. Loved the site will be going again. It is particularly suitable for dog owners as there is a ciruclar walk around the campsite with lots of walks off of it. The staff were friendly and the toilet block very clean. We do not usually choose sites as large as this one but felt that the trees around the site stopped it from feeling too big. We recommend going to Sandringham even if you do not want to go in the house & gardens, as you can park there free and have a choice of walks, as well as a scenic drive through the grounds. There are loos, cafe and shop there.
This is a really pretty site but when it is windy, which was every day we were visiting, the dust is dreadful. It took us 3 hours to clean our awning after we got home and still some of the dust has stained the material. This is a large site and there are no indicators as to pitch numbers and no lighting after dark. This makes it very difficult to find your van if you have been out for the evening.
This was a fantastic space.
It was very big though.

As our first trip to a CCC site we were very impressed. The welcome was very friendly and site facilities first class. Beware noisy wood pigeons!!
We visited this site in April and had a lovely break with our dogs, with good walks around the site and a lovely walk to sandringham house not far away. Coastal walks within a short drive away. The site facilities were kept clean and tidy regularly. we recommend this site. Also we must thank the staff as my husband left his watch in the shower block, when we returned home after realizing his watch had been lost my husband contacted the office and was told a watch had been handed in, once the staff member had confirmed the watch was my husbands it was posted back to us within a few days. Thank you sandringham staff for a lovely holiday location and the return of the watch.
SUITABLE FOR: Families,Older couples,Groups
Great site with friendly staff and very clean showers and toilets! Felt a bit crammed in but to be fair it was a bank holiday! However the site is so dusty my 3 and 1 yr old girls were perminantly filthy! I dont mind a bit of dirt but if you want your kids to stay remotely clean dont bother! Could do with having some pitches put doen to 10mm gravel to keep dust down.Other than this a very pleasant stay!
JUST RETURNED FROM A LONG WEEKEND HERE, WHAT A WONDERFUL SITE. SECLUDED AND VERY PEACEFUL EVEN THOUGH THE SITE WAS FULL. NOT TOO FAR FROM BEACHES IF YOU WANT TO GO, BUT FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF EVERYDAY LIFE. THE TOILET BLOCKS WERE VERY CLEAN AND SHOWERS NICE AND HOT, STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY. WE WERE LUCKY AND HAD A VERY SUNNY WEEKEND, OUR DAUGHTER LOVED THE RABBITS THAT CAME OUT AROUND THE CAMPSITE AND THINK WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF PHOTOS OF BABY RABBITS TO SIFT THROUGH.
ONLY A LITTLE MOAN BUT THE GROUND WAS VERY DRY AND DUSTY AND IT GETS TROD EVERYWHERE, JUST FINISHES SHAMPOOING THE CARPET IN THE CAMPER, BUT THAT CAN'T BE HELPED WILL KNOW FOR NEXT TIME.
WILL DEFINATELY BE GOING AGAIN. AND SOON
Our first time camping which was fantastic due to the location of the site and the facilities available. The showers and toilets were always clean, warm and close by. The shop on site had a huge range of goods for both eating and camping supplies. The walks and history of the area were fascinating and provided many days out in the country. Our dog thouroughly enjoyes the site with good walks surrounding the site. The staff were also very friendly and helpfull. Altogether a wonderful stay - we shall definitely be returning soon!
Sandringham is one of our favourite Club sites to visit.
Always a warm and very professional welcome. The staff are very helpful at all times and the site is set out well.
very dog friendly with a good dog excercise area away from the main camping site.
Plenty of room between the caravans and nice and quiet in the evenings.TV reception a bit poor but OK with a sat dish.
This was the 2nd time we visited the site, and we enjoyed it EVEN MORE! It was a wonderful get away for the family, and dog, (who was worn out by the end of the week!) The areas we were given BOTH times were great, they were away from cars, so that our dog could be put on a long lead and look around! It was a great holiday, along with some good weather, (the rain didn't stop us having fun) It was very peaceful, and we will most definitely be returning next year!

its a nice site in a lovley area. Sandringham House is well worth a vist and so are the grounds.. easy to get to other areas ... I go every year with the Family & my dogs love it too ..
One of our favourite sites - being tucked amongst the woodland it hides its size, retaining a friendly feel.
Loads of space for the kids to run around, units are mixed together nicely and the useful shop neighbours the site boundary.
DATE STAYED: May 2010
Lovely well maintained yet still natural site located in a beautiful wooded area of the Sandringham Estate.
We particularly enjoyed the local wildlife and the privacy provided by the trees. The toilet blocks are very clean and the staff are very helpful. Lots of woodland walks and Sandringham is just down the road.
A highlight of our visit outside of Sandringham itself was the Lavender Centre in nearby Heacham with its great shops and cafe.
This is a lovely site set in the royal estate at Sandringham , it has mainly level pitches ,a lot are set in woodland among the trees, for a large site it never felt crowded and we were their in August ,and the facility were plentiful and spotless , it was about a 2 mile walk to the Sandringham visitors centre , and there was numerous woodland walks from the site.
There is a small shop at the site entrance selling provisions, you can walk from this site to the adjacent Caravan club site, where you will notice a difference in sites, the caravan club site is more regimented and all hard standing, which in my opinion spoils the woodland feel that you get with the C&CC site.
Masses of space for children to run about and play in woods, teenagers would maybe be bored if not into walking , this site is a dog owners paradise with all the woodland walks, its not to far from the sea side resorts of Cromer and Sheringham.
DATE STAYED: July 2008
Camped here with my wife, 2 kids and dog.Had a more than adequate jumbo tent pitch. All toilet blocks close to camping areas.
There was a well stocked shop nearby selling all essentials. Staff were great, friendly and helpful.
Loads of wooded walks and beach was an easy drive away. This is one of the best sites I have camped on and will definitely be going back next summer.

Wonderful relaxing site. Can choose where you want to site. Really friendly and helpful staff.
This site is an absolute dream...we just love it here and keep coming back. I have to say that it is our favorite location. It's not far for us to travel and you can always be assured of a warm friendly welcome.
One of our favourites sites and we return again and again. The pitches are nestled between giant trees and you feel a million miles from anywhere - bliss.
DATE STAYED: September 2009
Following a nice greeting and choice of pitch and being told a strict 6 metre rule applies, we were suprised after a day out 3 tents 2 cars immediately in front of our tourer and couldnt get our car any where near.
Also no recycle bins whatsoever, facilities old and need updating although clean. Over all top prices for medium grade site.
