Arrived at the site for a weekend break after driving through some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. The hard standing pitches were level and the one I picked had a view that is fun to wake up to. Wardens were very welcoming and ran a useful scheme where you could leave a note if you were out hill walking (for safety). Toilets were clean and the showers hot. Lots to see in the area with plenty of walking available or you could just sit back and relax and soak in the scenery. Will be back someday and thoroughly recommended.

Really lovely site, with spectacular views and great clean facilities.
We stopped to camp at this site on spec for 1 night, we were intending to go further North, but the spectacular Glencoe scenery convinced us to stop. We got a very friendly welcome, Sue even opened up a field for us to be nearer the facilities as we have 3 young children. The facilities are large and clean (only one block, but modern and in very good condition) and the showers are spacious, enough room to take a child in, put your stuff down on the seat and many hooks without the usual juggling, with plenty of hot water.
We took a nice walk into the village along the forest path in the evening and found the local hotel very welcoming too, for children and dog, and had very nice fish and chips in the bar. There are nice easy forest walks right on your doorstep, great for the younger ones, and you get entry into the national trust centre next door free of charge with the site receipt.

As it was the beginning of the season the site was quiet with only a few other campers. The wardens made us welcome and invited us to pitch anywhere we liked - which is always a much appreciated bonus for us!
Lovely views, even though the weather was not ideal and the cloud-base was low. We found a spot to park that suited us perfectly. I believe all motorhomes and caravans are allocated hardstanding, which was ideal.
It snowed hard on the hills overnight, but didn't settle at the campsite. Nonetheless, next morning looking all around was an impressive sight.
We enjoyed going to the National Trust for Scotland visitor centre next door, and because we are members of the NT (England & Wales) received free reciprocal admission to the exhibition.
We'd have no hesitation recommending the site to family and friends.

Used as a base to complete the West Highland Way. The wardens Mick and Sue ran an excellent site. Their efforts were invaluable in helping us achieve our goal. Certainly a site we will return to for future outdoor activity holidays. The local Clachaig Inn offers a range of excellent brews and bar food at reasonable prices, although one member of our group felt "generationally challenged"
Sincere thanks and best wishes to Mick and Sue.

This is a very picturesque and relaxing site within Glencoe mountains. If you don't want to relax there is an approx 20+mile cycle ride around loch Leven. There is a high road (mountainous) for 7 miles to Kinlochleven and then a low road back to Glencoe by the loch path. Good roads. There are also plenty of walks from the site. The Site Managers are the best we have encountered in the C&CC, very helpful and friendly. We booked for 3 nights but stayed for 5 nights. Will be going back to this site when possible.

This is one of the prettiest club sites ever, surrounded by mountains and easily accessible forestry land. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. It is next to the Visitor Centre and Glencoe village is easily accessed via a woodland path. Very rarely busy, we were told, so perfect for a few nights stop off en route to the Highlands and Islands.

In spite of the rain and mist which prevented us from seeing what we guess were great views, we had a lovely stay at this site. The facilities were the highest standard of any campsite we had visited in our 2 week tour. The Managers were extremely helpful: they provided free print-outs of local walks which they'd obtained from the internet, but most of all, they found the mobile phone we mislaid at the site and posted it to us at home. What wonderful service!

We received a wonderful and friendly welcome from the wardens, happy to offer advice on local walks and facilities.
Stunning views and easy access.
The toilet block is one of, if not the, best we've seen. It was immaculately clean and well maintained.
We're already looking forward to going back.

A friendly, informative welcome on arrival, the site and it's facilities are kept in very good order by the wardens. The location is ideal with stunning views, walks are in abundance with all levels of ability, Glen Coe village is easily accessible. If Scotland is on the holiday list, this has to be an area and site to use again and again.

As everyone has stated, the views were amazing in this site. It was brilliant to wake up to those mountains every day, I would definitely go back again. The facilities were excellent on site, and the paths were extremely wheelchair friendly ( our son is in a wheelchair). It was also really quiet at night, despite being near a main road. You do hear the odd lorry, but not that many to be honest. Staff were great, the shop was well stocked. Honestly, we couldn't recommend it enough. It's also well placed to travel to loads of places in western scotland. We went to Oban, Loch Ness, Glenmore Forest Park, Ben Nevis and more. Brilliant!

Good points (for us).
On site team are fabulous. Very seldom do you get such willingness to help and offer advice. Happy to accept the late arrival, when adequate notice is given.
Site is clean, tidy, well presented and laid out.
Bad Points (for us).
The main road sits just below the site, similar set up to our Ardgartan site, so expect passing road noise from all types of road traffic.
Evening noise of chainsaws. Not good for anyone who watches 'horror movies'.
Site entrance isnt well marked. We travelled without the big site book, and saldy ended up passing the entrance. Asking the local cooperative store assistant where the site is? She replied, where the national trust campsite is. True to her word this is the entrance. So like we say, a camping and caravaning club site badge on the sign would have been helpfull. ( i understand from talking to the onsite team they arent allowed to do this for us, which really is a poor show on the national trust part)

This was our second visit to this sight and we'll definitely be back! The site assistants were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The facilities are excellent with spacious shower cubicles and vanity cubicles. When the sun shines, you are surrounded by spectacularly beautiful scenery and when it rains it is spectacularly dramatic. The proximity of the National Trust Visitor Centre is an added bonus and the village is only a short walk away. Keep up the good work.

Arrived late-ish on a very wet evening. The camping field was saturated and totally unsuitable for camping. The wardens were exceptionally helpful and allowed us to camp on the 'mound'. Full marks to them but we only had a small 2 person tent.
As this area is noted for high rainfall beware if taking a tent to this site. (Works have apparently already taken place to rectify the poor drainage.)

This was the first time that we had camped at Glencoe and it is a brilliant location especially if you are looking to do a bit of walking. The weather was also sensational with 10 days of sun. Who says it rains all the time in Glencoe! Also good for going onto Mull, Iona and the Islands. It is also down to the new managers and Mick and Su have done a great job in getting the site up to scratch and nothing is impossible for these guys. Very fiendly and helpful people who try to make your stay memorable. Also the facilities are first class with the showers exceptional. We will definately be back. There was a bit of noise from the lorries that were part of logging, but it was only early in the day. Might be good to check, however, to see if that is still going on.

We have just returned after easter weekend at this site.We did not have any problems with the site. The only complaint we have is due to timber harvesting of the ajoining ground. Heavy plant and vehicles were being moved thoughout the weekend and Giant timber trucks started around 5.30 am easter monday. It sounded like a train passing over the caravan.I think it would be reasonable to advise members of this situation before booking. This was our first site since joining the club and we would not have booked had we known the situation.I understand
this may be outwith the control of the club but reasonable steps could have been taken to avoid reviews such as this. Not a Happy Camper!

We are just about to head back and are sad that the previous caretakers have retired, they were so nice. It was our first outing in a caravan and it has not been beaten since. We have stayed at Glencoe every year for 33 years, with Managers Bob & Sue, followed by Bill. We started in a 6 berth frame tent, with our 3 daughters, followed by a Combi-Camp trailer tent and finished up with our caravan. It's like our 2nd home. There is so much to see and do and the views are breathtaking. Give it a go.....you'll be amazed at the beauty of the surroundings and for good measure, have a steady climb up to the top of the 'Pap'.

This is a genuinely friendly and helpful site and I am sad to read the previous caretakers haveretired. The other staff have big boots to fill. It is a quiet site and you cannot access TV without satellite which adds to the amazing atmosphere of the mountain surrounding the site and all the wildlife we saw.We had a teenage daughter with us who even though it was misty fell in love with the place and with the village people. We had a fantastic day out with the Nationl Trust ranger who took us into the mountain and showed us deer, stags and plantlife, so much more interesting when it is explained to you by an expert. I would book in advance we were lucky to get cancellations. It was booked for weeks ahead.
