We spent our best Christmas ever at this site. It is in a very peaceful location, yet within easy walking access of the town and many walks so the break can be as active or as peaceful as you like.
The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful and the mulled wine on Christmas Eve was a lovely treat!
Yes, the showers/toilets are in a portababin, but extremely clean and the warmest we've experienced.
So good was the break that we've booked for Christmas and New Year 2012/13!

I have been coming to Walker Park for a number of years, sometimes with a female friend but always with my 2 dogs. The site is ideal if you want a quiet basic pitch, the toilets and shower block is clean, and Keswick is a short walk away.
As dogs are allowed on site it is inevitable that at some time they will take the opportunity to escape and have a sniff around, slip the lead, or leap out as soon as the door is opened. My only gripe is that when, on the occasions this has happened I know that within a few minute I will be approached by Staff Member telling me to keep the dogs on the lead. I know they are to be on leads but please be more compassionate and accept this will happen and allow for this. It is not done intentionally.
A Staff Member at another C&C club site commented that they accept this does happen and would only intervene if the dog/dogs were CAUSING PROBLEMS ON A REGULAR BASIS.
I am sure others have been in the same situation.

This is a lovely little site. The toilets are in a portacabin - but they are some of the cleaniest Ive come across - well done. The site is well placed to explore Keswick and the surrounding Lakeland area. The staff were lovely and the warden is an absolute expert at giving reversing instructions to drivers to help them get parked. We will definately visit again later in the year.

this site is an ideal location for keswick only a two minute walk to the town centre. Portaloos only for the toilet facilities but they are warm and scrupulously clean. no awnings allowed due to the ground on which the site is built and it would not do to puncture the surface(old waste disposal works or something).one of our favourite sites for all times of year.
