We stayed there in January this year and we have been touring with the club for 23 years. This is the first time ever that the facilities were closed. We expect 1 toilet block closed but all the water/waste were closed for the winter. I think this is unacceptable for any large site. The water/waste facilities that were open were at the motorhome service point and this was on the exit on the very large site. So from our pitch we would have a lengthly walk to use this facility. Usually this park is beautiful but would not advise going there in low season.

We have been to Blackmore many times over the last three years and we love it so much we decided to winter store there so we can get extra use out of our van throughout the winter. The whole team makes you feel like old friends and our 7 year old loves it as much as we do. The walks are awesome, the local pub great and the delights of Worcester and the surrounding towns and villages are superb. We could not recommend it highly enough.

We spent Xmas holiday on-site with our teenage son. The welcome was wonderful and there were a mutitude of activites planned with everyone welcome to attend. The Site was decorated with lots of lights and decoration and most caravnners had joined in . The staff could not do enought to help. Have used many club sites but this surpassed all expectations in the main part due to the staff who are a credit to the club. Well done and thank you!!

Having been a member of the Caravanning and Camping club for 6 years we have been meaning to try this site for a long time. We came here first in July of this year and now we are on our 3rd visit, and its only October. This is the best C.L site we have found the staff are very welcoming and friendly they cannot do enough for you. The facilities are spotless, the scenery is beautiful. The walks in the hills are stunning the children love the friendly atmosphere. There is a lovely pub The Swan (the food is excellent) and shops within walking distance only a mile away. Would reccommend this site to anyone and we will be back every year from now on I am sure. Well done to Blackmore.

Our first experience of motorhoming and aware of all our inexperience. The crew at Blackmore wer MOST attentive, helpful and offered sound and thoughful advice when asked. There is no doubt that ALL the staff there provided us with the most encourgement and confidence we could have possibly wished for. There is no doubt that we will return there as it it very much our local club site and can honestly say that we felt a total feeling of belonging whilst we were there. Many thanks to CC&C for looking after us.

A very nice site, immaculate toilets and showers, lovely little park for the kids, lots of green open areas, decent dog walk. A short walk from village of hanley swan with pub and village stores. We actually cycled into the Malvern hills from here although it was a bit of a mission as a lot of the bridleways just ended as usual, there were public footpaths all the way, but given cyclists are not allowed to use these, we had to use the bridleways and main roads, not great for kids but most of the roads had grass verges to cycle on. The hills were lovely and had load of trails for bikes and walking. A top site, a great base for visiting lots of nearby towns. Would definitely return

We chose Blackmore for our first venture out with the caravan having upgraded from a tent. As always with club sites, the welcome was second to none, and the chap who showed us to our pitch was absolutely brilliant! The facilities were very clean and in good condition. One thing that did confuse me from previous reviews was about the signage and entrance to the site - so to clarify, the entrance *is* the one on the bend, both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club sites share the entrance from the road and then you turn right into the CC&C site or go straight on for the other club site. One other thing missing from all the reviews that I read, is that there is a fish and chip "van" Wednesday to Saturday that is shared between the two clubs. One word of warning.. the portions are very generous! All in all, Blackmore is a lovely site, despite being quite large, we felt quite secluded where we were. No complaints whatsoever!

Just returned from Blackmore, we only stayed there for 2 nights but had a very pleasant stay. Pitches are nice and level and very secluded which was great against the wind. The washing blocks are Immaculate and cleaned on a regular basis and you really can tell.
My only down point on this site was that there seemed to be quite a few rules and regulations which can be a little off putting ot times as you do tend to feel that you are constantly being observed. I also think it is a little overpriced for what you get. Overall not a bad site.

We have visited many sites over the past few years both club and commercial sites and this is definitley one of the best. The greeting both when booking and on arrival was the best ever.
The site is beautiful with mature trees and lovely views of the Malvern hills and well situated for local tourist attractions.
The shower blocks were immaculate with lots of hot water.
All the staff without exception were friendly and helpful .
We will return if ever in this area again.
Well done to all the staff.

I booked on to this site on Bank holiday Sunday for a few days family break. It's quite a large site and was very busy for the bank holiday and the team were accommodating fitting us in at the last minute.
We were placed near the dog walk which was great having two dogs but on the Bank holiday Monday the toilet facilities near us were then shut as apparently there were not enough people to use them. There were at least thirty other units surrounding it and meant that every morning after that we had to queue for toilets and showers.....one morning for an hour. I thought by paying high season prices we would have high season facilities. The toilet block was to be reopened the next following weekend.
Staff were pleasant but a little officious when asked if we could stop longer on our last day we were told that we could stay only until 3 or pay another days full fee even though there were spaces for around twenty units around us. We would have happily paid a nominal fee to stay a little longer but another nights fee is a little expensive.
Two other families also found the shutting of facilities inconvenient and said they had stayed there several times before and not experienced before.
Facilities were clean and staff were ever present on site which was reassuring and did cycle and walk around the site regularly but I am not sure we will be in a rush to return.

This is an excellent site and one of the best we have visited out of the C& C sites. Very freindly and helpful staff and good toilets and showers. We came for Christmas last year in all the snow and the staff helped us to our pitch and made it a special Christmas. The Swan pub down in the village is about a mile walk and does beautiful meals but on a weekend you would need to book a table as it gets very busy. A nice drive to Worcester town which has good shops and places to eat, also Malvern is well worth a visit and has lots of antique and vintage stores. We have re booked for Christmas but will go again before that.

Once again never disappointed by the Blackmore site! We have been visiting the site over 10 years from a trailer tent, folding camper and now onto our 3rd caravan. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the shower/toilet facilities are fantastic - plenty of hot water and very clean. We don't have kids, but there's an ample size play area for them and the kids aren't noisy either. There is loads to do for walkers/cyclists and there's a bus outside the main entrance for nearby Upton-upon-Severn and beyond. There are lots of dog walking routes too (and we don't have a dog either!)We always come back here at least twice a year and there's still places in the area we've never visited! Ledbury is about 8 or 9 miles away and has lovely "chocolate box" black and white timber framed buildings. The great British weather never stops us doing things when we stay at Blackmore because there's so much to do. Many thanks to the staff for another great long weekend away!

A lovely site with excellent washroom facilities.
However, I have two gripes following me recent visit:
(1) We booked with 3 other families and were told on arrival that, despite booking together months ago, we could not be guaranteed pitches next to each other and that this was C&C Club policy. I've never had that before and was very disappointed!
(2) The recreation room with indoor games and space to do activities when wet was closed all weekend for a special event for certain campers. There was nothing on the website that warned me that this would be the case, and my older children were very disappointed as when it rained there was nowhere they could play. I feel I should have at least known this when booking and really offered a small amount off usual price per night as it's an advertised feature of the site that was actually unavailable for the duration of my stay.

We only stayed on this site for one night as it was a last minute getaway and it didn't disappoint! this site has everything you want, very clean modern toilet/shower/wash-up/laundry blocks, play ground area, dog walk area. Upon arriving we were asked if we wanted quiet or a not so quiet spot, we opted for quiet and was shown an area among some established trees and we had the pick of the area - perfect! There is only one down side and this is being very picky!!! went to washing up area and it was full with a queue. Maybe some more sinks for the size of the site? This is a beautiful area and a beautiful site - well done Camping & Caravaning Club for such a wonderful find :-) A happy member!

This is the furthest we have travelled with our trailer tent so far and the incentive for choosing this site was the close proximity to the Three Counties Showground as we were going to the Quilt Show. The welcome was very friendly and we had a choice of pitches. We picked a sheltered one under a tree but maybe not our best choice as we had poor TV reception. The facilities are very clean and well kept. The showers have a one temperature push button control which you need to keep pushing to have a continuous flow of water but they are hot. The surrounding Malvern Hills are a spectacular view well worth seeing. A site we would use again if planning another visit to the area.

We booked this site to try our tent for the first time since swopping our caravan. The welcome we received was extremely friendly, we were then shown to a pitch and told where everything was on the site. The facilities are extremely clean and well maintained, all the staff are very friendly, there is a good childrens play area and plenty of space for children to play. There is a nice walk into Hanley Swan where you can feeds ducks on the pond or visit the pub! We would recommend this site and we will definitely return in the not to distant future.

Our first experience staying at Blackmore was thoroughly enjoyed. However, I think the site could do with better signage on approaching the site as it is on a bend and is also sign posted for the Caravan Club (a little bit confusing), which is a little further on down the drive. The site is controlled by gates which you operate yourselves. The reception was extremely busy because of Whitsun week but I was dealt with promptly. A warden took us to our pitch which was on the Malvern View field not far from the toilet block and play area. On this field you were in 3 rows however you did not feel hemmed in as pitches were spacious. The toilets and private washing cubicles were spotless, however there were only 5 showers in both mens/ladies. Showers were extremely hot in the evening but ok in the morning. Each cubicle had a plastic stool. A lovely touch was a small flower arrangement by the sinks. There was a lovely wooden play area for the kids, also the site had a large community room. The site is well situated for the Malvern Hills, Upton on Severn and Worcester. Hanley Swan village has a pub, butchers and general store, oh and a lovely duck pond, very pretty and about 1 mile walk from site past a beautiful church and cottages. There is a lovely dog walk which circles the site. Rubbish/recycling area is at the far end of the site, so tucked well out of view. Washing up areas are good but we never seemed to get very hot water. If you fancy a meal out, try the Bluebell Inn at Ryall, just through Upton, which was recommended by one of the site wardens (I also promised the landlord I would give him a mention!).

Although we have been members of the C&CC for a year this was our first experience of stopping on one of their sites.
Absolutely brilliant, spotlessly clean facilities, very friendly wardens and well laid out site.
Bus passes the gate either to Worchester or Malvern every hour and this was a boon to us, meaning we could leave our 25ft. motorhome onsite and either ride or walk to our chosen destination.
Only downside, and this had nothing to do with the campsite was no meals were available at the Hanley Swan pub because of chef issues, even though they accepted our booking on the friday evening for sunday lunch and then told us after we had walked the mile sorry closed.
First time i have had weetabix for lunch..!!!!!

Having only joined the camping & caravan club this year this was only our second site that we have booked. To our joy this site was perfect for walks to suit different needs with Malvern hills only 20mins from the site. The site itself was lovely and clean and well maintained the staff were very friendly and helpfull with local knowledge. Pitch size was adequate for the tent size that we had. Should we visit this area in the future we would definatley consider using this site again. Only negative we had was that the local pub closed mid afternoon and opened again early evening which after a pleasant mid afternoon walk in the April sunshine can be a disapointment when one is ready for a thirst quencher.

Our first visit to Blackmore and we'd happily stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the site is well maintained and both toilet blocks always clean. Pitches are fairly flat and we had plenty of space around us even though the site was very busy for some of stay. Some hardstanding pitches but they were nicely done so as not to give that "carpark" feel to the site. Plenty to do in the local area with easy access to the hills and small towns nearby.

Well, Blackmore, the Club site for the Malverns, is really good. It is clean, level, has good facilities, and loads nearby.
We were there in January, which means you need a good heating system in your unit, which, thankfully, we did.
We went to the Beacons in South Wales, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Upton on Severn, Malvern, The Black Country Museum, Hereford, and the British Camp on Malvern Hill. All fantastic, and all in five days.
I cannot praise the area enough.

Our first C&CC trip in our maiden year under canvass and we chose to stay at Blackmore. What an ispired choice I made, if i dont say so myself :-)
The site was immaculate, the facilities were 1st class, it was all clean & tidy and with individual wash basins for that little added privacy if you want it. We were very impressed that all the campers obeyed the 11pm rule and 6m rule too. The pitches were level, the grass was kept nice and short and the 1 way system works a treat.
The only downside that I did see, was the rec room was closed and it had a pool table in it, I would have liked to have seen this open on the day that it rained when we were there, but we made the most of our company.
Hanley Swan village is only a 1 mile walk down the road it wasn't to drastic to walk to the pub in the wet. Or if you fancy going slightly further afield, Malvern is a 10 min drive.
we will def visit Blackmore again in 2011 without a shadow of a doubt. 10/10 so far to C&CC site's that we have been too.
Roll on 2011 when we are able to visit more.

Close to Malvern and very close to Hanley Swan, this camp site is in a great location to explore the Malverns. This was our first camping experience as a family (children 7 & 2) in a tent and it couldn't have gone better. We got a pitch close to the play area (don't do this if you want quiet - do it if you want to sit comfortably and watch the children play!) and was very pleased with the showering/washing facilities. The pub at Hanley Swan has a lovely beer garden but is expensive to eat - there are others a little further away for families! All in all, very pleased with location, site and facilities. Recommended - will visit again and tell friends!
