We came to Woodhall Spa not realizing the history surrounding the area about the RAF and World War 2 which made it interesting. The site is different to most. You can pitch in a field or in the wooded area around a large pond with some friendly ducks. The shower blocks are very clean, infact the whole site was spotless. Be careful if you pitch in the woods with dogs. Ours made a habit of dragging half the wood in the caravan, with leaves twigs and soil stuck to their fur! There is a great place to walk half a mile away from the site. It's a huge plantation once used as an RAF base during WW2. If you like a peaceful break, this is a must.

It is very said to hear Bob and Yvonne are leaving, they have been outstanding manager's, not only in the job they do, but also willing to help in any way they can, to make your stay very relaxing.this is shown by how many campers come back to Woodhall, time and time again. The toilet block could do with been refurbished, but Bob and Yvonne do a great job in keeping it clean, even though the block does not do them justice. I wish they where not leaving, they will be a very hard act to follow, but thank you to you both for all your hard work and support best wishes Robin and Kathy.

Lovely situation and well maintained site. Toilets etc all up to scratch and nice discreet pitches on main site. Good field for tents as well. Little shop, helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of local walks (nature reserves) and easy reach of Woodhall Spa and the good pub Ebrington Arms at Kirkby on Bain. Book the pub for a meal - its well worth it.
Enjoyed ourselves on this site.

Wasn't sure what to expect as a mid-fities first-time camper but relied on the Club coming up with an appropriate standard, and we weren't disappointed. Friendly welcome to a very rural site, easy to find using Club website map. Grandson's disappointment about lack of swings/climbing frame was overtaken by him making friends quickly with other kids on site. Nearby nature reserve and walks not used this visit but warrants a return. Good location for visiting Lincoln and also the coast. We visited Skegness (not my cup of tea!), Boston and Lincoln and I was pleasantly surprised by very comfortable journey times. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at nearby Coningsby well worth a visit. Tattershall Castle was closed when we went (closed Thursdays and Fridays apparently) so another reason to return. On the whole a good break and this site was an ideal base to explore Lincolnshire.

This is a pretty standard C&C Site just the sort of thing we really enjoy. But not this time, from the time we turned up we just got the impression the Kids were not welcome. For a truly family friendly club this manager and assistant missed the spot. Shame because we enjoyed exploring the area in particular the open air lido in Woodhall Spa itself. More effort needed.

What a lovely, friendly, welcoming site! From when I first made the telephone booking asking if we could be pitched close to our friends to arriving on the site nothing appeared too much trouble.
Close to the town of Woodhall Spa but far enough away to be secluded and very quiet makes the site very restful. The only thing I have to say that is negative was the ceiling in the shower areas (very minor) being in need of repair, other than this the site was great and the staff too, well done!

Half and hour walk to a pub that serves food. Down side is that you'd want to do the walk in daylight as there's no pavement. Traffic moves very quickly on the road. Plenty of wildlife on the site - rabbits and ducks. I like the idea of the conservation site. Showers and toilets were both spotless and without queues. (The only time that I needed to queue was when I had to use the family room during cleaning time). The plots were well spaced out so I never felt crowded. One minor moan though, why do some people feel the need to take their 44" flat screen TV which requires a huge aerial and/or satellite dish in order to get reception?

Nice quiet little site with options of pitching in open areas or in wooded seclusion, we had the dogs with us so picked the wooded area which was lovely, plenty of room.
Shower block is clean but in need of some refurbishment ie a bit of paint!
overall nice place as a base of the east coast, we visited Chpael St Leonards but steered clear of Skeggy!

first time to woodhall spa, very nice site, we had a level hard standing pitch in the corner of the wooded area, only a short walk to the toilet block past the pond. the toilet block very clean but showing some sign of age, plenty of hot water for the shower.
we took a walkk around the site whick was very well maintained. this will not be our one and only visit to woodhall spa,

Great pitch at the wooded end of the site, but open field ideal for groups and families. Great if you are interested in WW2 aircraft with RAF Coningsby close by and lots of history in Woodhall Spa. All staff friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Facilities block starting to feel a bit tired and in need of a facelift, but still more than adequate. Will go back soon if possible.

Very friendly staff.Bob assisted in the reversing of the caravan onto the pitch with great expertise.A lovely site and not far from the charming Woodhall Spa.
A couple of small negatives, the dog walk area is very small and the showers could do with updating, toilets etc always clean. Would visit again in near future.

Excellent site run by friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Perfect for our family. We liked that the play area was fenced off, the 'see through' bridge was great for seeing the wildlife through - lots of fish! The ducks & ducklings were a treat. We were in the wood and found it quiet and peaceful during our stay. The facilities were excellent - lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

A very peaceful site - what stood out for us was the sound of bird song and bat watching at nightfall! Woodhall Spa itself was easy to get to and well worth a visit. It was our first proper outing with our 7 month old puppy and we thought that the site was fantastic for anyone who liked walking - either with or without a dog! Lots of wonderful walks on your doorstep. Our 6 year old son loved feeding the fish from the bridge and we enjoyed spotting the 4 new ducklings! We will visit again - hopefully for longer than 4 days next time!

Very warm welcome and very helpful staff. Campsite well kept and facilties clean. Fantastic for cycling and wild life. Very Peacefull an safe for older children, however for little feet (toddlers) unsafe pond with deep water if camping close by but the ducks and fish kept us busy!if wanting hard standing i would advise not for young children as large stones which made early walking difficult. The field looked fantastic!! Lacking in mother and baby room a toddlers bath or shower! No in between stage facitlies, but not a problem for caravaners with a bathrooms. Had a great time and now with this knowledge we will return again on a different position with more bread for the ducks!

We were only there for 2 nights, but made to feel very welcome. They also adjusted future bookings with our needs (as bookings were made before health problems happened). Great site for birds (was told by another camper there are lots in the vicinity). Families please be aware that there is a pond onsite. Toilet block clean and maintenance good.

We really liked this site. We had a warm reception and the warden gave us the choice of a couple of pitches, one amongst the caravans in the first field which would have been closer to reception and facilities or the one that we chose which was in the back field in a corner near the road.
We were very happy with the location of our pitch and felt quite secluded, private and quiet which suited us just fine. Although our area was very open, there was a nice woodland section toward the back of the site that was very pretty but all hardstanding so suitable only for caravans which is a shame.
The facilities were clean and tidy and in a decent state of repair and in a very picturesque setting. There were ample wash up sinks and toilets but not really enough showers for the size of the site. Lucky for us it was a quiet time of the year but I still had to wait for one to become free so I wouldn’t fancy it in peak season. There’s a lovely pond at the centre of the site which creates a nice setting.
We found plenty of walks and cycle routes straight from the site. We cycled and walked to the nearby pub. It's quite a long walk but no time at all on the bikes. There’s no streetlighting though so if you go in the evening be sure to take a torch. The pub was closed on the Monday and only served food at certain times so best to check that if you’re wanting a meal out.
There is a chip van on a Friday night but we didn’t try it. The reception is said to be a shop also but it’s very sparse so either go prepared or the nearest shop is probably Budgen’s in Woodhall Spa about 3 miles away but it’s a great supermarket.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. We will definitely be returning.

The site was mostly level, with easy access to all areas.
As it was school holiday time it was apparent that there was insufficient to occupy the children when their parents got tired of them. We had processions of child bikers in and out of the vans and motorhomes early to late.
The facilities ie toilets and showers are close to their sell buy date, really need refurbishment. A good coat of paint on the ceiling would help. My greatest worry was the the shower heads themselves. I may be old but I do have certain standards in that department.
The site was free of litter and thought had been given to the native fauna with lots of wild areas for the natural habitat. The staff seemed busy and helpful at all times.
