found this a great site secluded in the trees with a nice lake this is a well kept site from which to explore Lincolnshire and Woodhall itself is a nice village that has everything you need, there are great walks from the site and we took our dog along good dog walks and a small dog run on site, A great site we will come back again.

We stayed on site over the easter weekend and were very impressed with everything about this site, the wardens were welcoming and friendly, the toilets & showers (which are quite modern) kept clean and tidy, and the pitches well positioned. Woodall Spa is a 5 minute drive away with shops, pubs, restaurants & take aways and with a woodland walk and large park there`s something for everyone. We will definately visit here again.

Mandy and I have just returned after a relaxing Easter break at Woodhall Spa. The site Managers made us welcome when we arrived and the friendly service continued during our stay. The facilities were kept very tidy and clean at all times. The site its self is well laid out and easy to access.
There is a good dog walking area onsite but if you really want to exercise to dog take a walk to the nearby woods. Skegness is only about a 40 minute drive away and you can also walk into Woodhall Spa (2.5 miles) were you will find a good butchers, bakery and restaurants.
We will be going back and would recommend this site.

The nicest site we've stayed on - a fantastic setting for a relaxing break, and the site managers were the most friendly and helpful we've come across, we even stayed on for an extra night. Our dogs loved the place, too, the fully-enclosed dog area was great for them; there are many walks in the area - although most are through nature reserves and therefore NOT dog-friendly, but there is no need to go off-site. The aircraft from nearby RAF Coningsby do not detract from the experience here in any way. We loved the place, and will certainly be back.

We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our pitch and helped to park up in the easiest way. The site is immaculately clean and well-kept. The shower cubicles are dated and really could do with refurbishment but they were kept very clean for all that. I do wonder if there are sufficient showers for a busy season. The rules and guidance notes provided are all very sensible and welcome. It is just unfortunate that there is no footpath to the local pub (1.5 miles away) and it is not a road to walk at night. Woodhall Spa has many independant shops and most needs are catered for there. We would return here without any doubtas the positives outweigh the negatives by far.

This was our firswt visit to this site and we are going back for a weekend at the end of the month. I have never met such friendly people as were staying on the site and we have been on quite a few. We had out 4 yr old grandaughter with us and she absolutely loved it. Horses in the fileld, ducks on the lake and a play area. There are some beautiful walks and the Battle of Britain Air Museum is well worth a visit. My husband was in his element as he watched the Lancaster come back from Hull and land on the air strip giving everyone a chance to view its magnificance. Well worth a visit!! Woodhall Spa is a lovely village and your not too far from the coast is you want the beach.

We recently stayed here for our first outing in our new tent. This site was well above our expectations, The wardens have done a great job keeping the place in tip top condition, the toilet block and facilities are spotless all day, the grass and flower beds are all neat and tidy and there was not one piece of litter anywhere.
The only downside to the site was the children had to cross a bridge over the lake to get to the play area. We have 2 young kids (4yrs + 2yrs)but they are at an age were we wouldnt let them go on there own anyway so wasnt realy an issue.
Would definatly revisit.
Keep up the good work

Lovely wardens, made us welcome in our 10m motorhome and even loaned us their extension cable to hook up (Thank you!) Peaceful, relaxing site. Good showers, very clean facilities. Only three miles into Woodhall Spa along a quiet lane (no pavement), safe enough to cycle with our kids aged 7yrs and 10 yrs. Woodhall Spa is lovely. Do try Jubilee Park open air heated pool and the Kinema, both very good. Will definately return.

A lovely bank holiday weekend break (apart from weather) The site is a lovely quite site. It has a play area for children a fenced ball games area and a small dog walk area to allow them off the lead. This site has recently been taken over and it looks like they are trying to improve things and this is noticable. The staff were really friendly and our kids enjoyed the weekend. The Jubille Park outdoor heated pool is worth a visit and the village is lovely. Sadly didnt have time to try Kinema in the Woods but think it might be worth a visit.

We enjoyed our stay at this site. The weather was excellent and everyone was friendly. It has some nice walks and you could bike along the roads as they're not to busy. We walked into Woodhall Spa which took about 45 mins. We visited Lincoln which has plenty of shops to browse around. When you are at the bottom of the town it is a very steep climb to the top. We will definately be going back to the site.

Had 7 fantastic days from the 10 we booked. Unfortunately a storm put paid to our last three days - it wrecked our tent, but you'd never have known it had been raining as the plots drained quickly. Site was gorgeous, showers were spotless. The ducks, squirrels and jets kept us entertained when we weren't out and about exploring the surrounding area. Not too far to Newark which is well worth a visit. Woodhall Spa has the most amazing bakery:-)

29/07/12 Weve just returned from this site our first time to this site, we spent a week on this site which is fantastic. Toilet block and showers are spotless 5 *, friendly staff. We took our 2 dogs with us there is plenty of walks to go on. Woodhall spa is in walking distance where you can stock up only 1 half miles away. Horncastle is 5 mile away. The only problem if you can call it one there isn't any bins round the site which might help people who do or don't pick up after there dogs it would encourage them to all the time

We have camped at this site on a number of occassions over the years. The addition of a field without electric hook -ups is to be welcomed as so often those who do not want such facilities are often limited in terms of choice of pitches. Long may it remain. Staff are very helpful. I do not understand previous reviews about toilet block needing upgrading. It is well kept & moder enough, though I would agree maybe a further block would be useful when site full.

Woodhall Spa CCC site is right next to two areas of Special Scientific Interest - fabulous for wildlife and walking locally. We liked the layout of teh site, which is quiet and secluded and has lots of different habitat. The water birds were fun to watch.
It's a 10 min drive to Woodhall Spa and a fab outdoor heated pool, the Town is great fro shops etc. Kinema in the Woods and good local Museum are worth a look. We loved the accessibility to the Wolds and woods - would recommend this site for a great, peaceful holiday.

Enjoyed a 7 night stay here - efficient booking in and we were shown to our pitch, having been given a choice. Spacious and well laid out pitches (we were on hardstanding in the open area by reception and a short walk to the shower blocks) with plenty of room between us and the "neighbours." The pitches in the wooded area looked very nice with a small lake in the middle.
Facilities were spotless but the site could do with additional toilets and showers as there was always a queue at busy times of the day.
Wardens were most helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble.
Used the Ebrington Arms for a meal one evening - lovely locally produced food and a varied menu - better than average pub grub at a reasonable price. Stocked up on supplies in Woodhall Spa (Co Op, Budgens)and there was a small Sainsburys at Sleaford.
Lots to see and do in the area - visited the BBMF, Lincoln and the coast. Woodhall Spa itself is very pleasant with a variety of shops/cafes/pubs/tea rooms etc. WW2 history makes it an interesting place to visit.
All in all a relaxing break (if you don't mind the RAF flying over on a regular basis, which we didn't!) - would definitely like to return.

It's a great location for exploring Fenland countryside, coast and local towns, where you can find antiques, markets, restaurants, etc. RAF memorial flight worth a visit, we saw Lancaster, Spits and Hurricane take off for Queens fly past! The staff at this campsite went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay at the campsite enjoyable. We realised that we hadn't booked electric hook up by mistake but after contacting them by phone before our arrival they said that they would do there best to find us a pitch. On arrival we had two pitches to choose from and after our electric hook up cable failed they allowed us to use their cable.
The campsite was kept in immaculate condition and we would recommend this campsite to anyone.

Lovely site unless you are a dog lover
If you use a commercially available dog compound or windbreak to keep your pets secure, you will not be allowed to use it on this site, unless you also keep your dogs on a leash while in it.
The new site manager has made this ruling, which is discretionary, according to HQ. Only site we are aware of that has this rule.

We stayed on this site over the Easter holidays and it was fantastic. There was quite a few children going around on bikes but the site was so well managed they did not bother anyone, and there is a lovely children's play area and ball area away from cars and caravans. The staff were really helpful and very friendly, the site was really clean and well managed. The shower and toilet facilities are top notch, very clean and tidy with loads of hot water a pleasure to use. There is also several nature reserves very nearby within 5 mins walk (they do not allow dogs in nature reserves)but there was a dog walk just up the road in the forest where they can run off the lead. There is also a lovely old railway line walk / cycle from Woodhall Spa which has several sculptures en-route which is worth a look and the kids could take their bikes in safety and it has a hard surface so not muddy. There are a few pubs which serve good food the first is the Ebrington Arms in Kirkby on Bain (about 2 mins by car) but I recommend that you book especially at the weekend as it is very popular & The Abbey Lodge just outside Woodhall Spa again great reasonably priced food. The Golden Dragon Chinese restaurant in Woodhall Spa also has great food. We highly recommend this site and would definitely go back again.

We read some not very good reports before booking the site, but the Managers where new and had only been there for 2 weeks. All we can say was that they were very welcoming, the site was only 1/2 full when we were there, so no waiting for toilets/showers. Plenty of hot water, and the toilet/shower blocks were very clean, and newly painted. There was a new children's play area, which had just been erected, and our girls were the first to use it, they loved it. The site was very quite and secluded in the woods on the outskirts of Woodhall. We cycled in to the centre and found Woodhall to be beautiful. All in all a fantastic week and we would love to go back. The only problem we found was that as we were leaving at 12pm (on good friday)!! the entrance was blocked due to the amount of new visitors, this was because they were fully booked, but the manager was great in organising everything so we could get out. A very welcome warm break. Thank you and good luck for the future in your management.

Our Woodhall Spa visit (Club member) reviewed Woodhall Spa Club Campsite...
We came to Woodhall Spa not realizing the history surrounding the area about the RAF and World War 2 which made it interesting. The site is different to most. You can pitch in a field or in the wooded area around a large pond with some friendly ducks. The shower blocks are very clean, infact the whole site was spotless. Be careful if you pitch in the woods with dogs. Ours made a habit of dragging half the wood in the caravan, with leaves twigs and soil stuck to their fur! There is a great place to walk half a mile away from the site. It's a huge plantation once used as an RAF base during WW2. If you like a peaceful break, this is a must.

Wasn't sure what to expect as a mid-fities first-time camper but relied on the Club coming up with an appropriate standard, and we weren't disappointed. Friendly welcome to a very rural site, easy to find using Club website map. Grandson's disappointment about lack of swings/climbing frame was overtaken by him making friends quickly with other kids on site. Nearby nature reserve and walks not used this visit but warrants a return. Good location for visiting Lincoln and also the coast. We visited Skegness (not my cup of tea!), Boston and Lincoln and I was pleasantly surprised by very comfortable journey times. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at nearby Coningsby well worth a visit. Tattershall Castle was closed when we went (closed Thursdays and Fridays apparently) so another reason to return. On the whole a good break and this site was an ideal base to explore Lincolnshire.

What a lovely, friendly, welcoming site! From when I first made the telephone booking asking if we could be pitched close to our friends to arriving on the site nothing appeared too much trouble.
Close to the town of Woodhall Spa but far enough away to be secluded and very quiet makes the site very restful. The only thing I have to say that is negative was the ceiling in the shower areas (very minor) being in need of repair, other than this the site was great and the staff too, well done!

Half and hour walk to a pub that serves food. Down side is that you'd want to do the walk in daylight as there's no pavement. Traffic moves very quickly on the road. Plenty of wildlife on the site - rabbits and ducks. I like the idea of the conservation site. Showers and toilets were both spotless and without queues. (The only time that I needed to queue was when I had to use the family room during cleaning time). The plots were well spaced out so I never felt crowded. One minor moan though, why do some people feel the need to take their 44" flat screen TV which requires a huge aerial and/or satellite dish in order to get reception?

Very friendly staff.Bob assisted in the reversing of the caravan onto the pitch with great expertise.A lovely site and not far from the charming Woodhall Spa.
A couple of small negatives, the dog walk area is very small and the showers could do with updating, toilets etc always clean. Would visit again in near future.

Excellent site run by friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Perfect for our family. We liked that the play area was fenced off, the 'see through' bridge was great for seeing the wildlife through - lots of fish! The ducks & ducklings were a treat. We were in the wood and found it quiet and peaceful during our stay. The facilities were excellent - lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

A very peaceful site - what stood out for us was the sound of bird song and bat watching at nightfall! Woodhall Spa itself was easy to get to and well worth a visit. It was our first proper outing with our 7 month old puppy and we thought that the site was fantastic for anyone who liked walking - either with or without a dog! Lots of wonderful walks on your doorstep. Our 6 year old son loved feeding the fish from the bridge and we enjoyed spotting the 4 new ducklings! We will visit again - hopefully for longer than 4 days next time!

Very warm welcome and very helpful staff. Campsite well kept and facilties clean. Fantastic for cycling and wild life. Very Peacefull an safe for older children, however for little feet (toddlers) unsafe pond with deep water if camping close by but the ducks and fish kept us busy!if wanting hard standing i would advise not for young children as large stones which made early walking difficult. The field looked fantastic!! Lacking in mother and baby room a toddlers bath or shower! No in between stage facitlies, but not a problem for caravaners with a bathrooms. Had a great time and now with this knowledge we will return again on a different position with more bread for the ducks!

We were only there for 2 nights, but made to feel very welcome. They also adjusted future bookings with our needs (as bookings were made before health problems happened). Great site for birds (was told by another camper there are lots in the vicinity). Families please be aware that there is a pond onsite. Toilet block clean and maintenance good.

We really liked this site. We had a warm reception and the warden gave us the choice of a couple of pitches, one amongst the caravans in the first field which would have been closer to reception and facilities or the one that we chose which was in the back field in a corner near the road.
We were very happy with the location of our pitch and felt quite secluded, private and quiet which suited us just fine. Although our area was very open, there was a nice woodland section toward the back of the site that was very pretty but all hardstanding so suitable only for caravans which is a shame.
The facilities were clean and tidy and in a decent state of repair and in a very picturesque setting. There were ample wash up sinks and toilets but not really enough showers for the size of the site. Lucky for us it was a quiet time of the year but I still had to wait for one to become free so I wouldn’t fancy it in peak season. There’s a lovely pond at the centre of the site which creates a nice setting.
We found plenty of walks and cycle routes straight from the site. We cycled and walked to the nearby pub. It's quite a long walk but no time at all on the bikes. There’s no streetlighting though so if you go in the evening be sure to take a torch. The pub was closed on the Monday and only served food at certain times so best to check that if you’re wanting a meal out.
There is a chip van on a Friday night but we didn’t try it. The reception is said to be a shop also but it’s very sparse so either go prepared or the nearest shop is probably Budgen’s in Woodhall Spa about 3 miles away but it’s a great supermarket.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. We will definitely be returning.

The site was mostly level, with easy access to all areas.
As it was school holiday time it was apparent that there was insufficient to occupy the children when their parents got tired of them. We had processions of child bikers in and out of the vans and motorhomes early to late.
The facilities ie toilets and showers are close to their sell buy date, really need refurbishment. A good coat of paint on the ceiling would help. My greatest worry was the the shower heads themselves. I may be old but I do have certain standards in that department.
The site was free of litter and thought had been given to the native fauna with lots of wild areas for the natural habitat. The staff seemed busy and helpful at all times.
