We spent a week here from the first of September and we enjoyed our stay so much that we were back for another week from 29th September The hospitality you receive from Sheree and Steve is absolutely wonderful nothing seems a bother to them if you have any queries and they are so friendly when you arrive that you just want to stay longer each time. It just seems like Heaven on earth to us with Sheree and Steve always busy trying to keep the place in tiptop condition. They both work so hard around the place but still take the time to have a chat when cutting the grass or cleaning we just love this site and it's very friendly managers

Steve and Sheree have done a great job here. The place is very clean and tidy and they are always there to give a warm welcome and help with any questions we had. I would recommend this site to anyone and will be back. Only downside is poor drainage as most of the grass pitches get very soggy when it rain. Thanks and well done to Steve and Sheree for making our stay so good (and thanks from the kids for the goody bags)

Overall, a nice enough site, very warm welcome. Would recommend making sure you've got an extra long electric cable as some sites may be further away from the hook up. Facilities were clean and plenty of showers to go round.
Unfortunately whilst we were there, a rowdy group of teenage campers arrived which made this less of a peaceful break. I think we'd opt for a smaller site next time - but definitely a thumbs up for the site in general.

We camped here last year and weren't going to return as the site seemed "run down". So glad that we came back, Steve and Sheree have made a huge difference since last season with work in progress to further improve the site, everything has improved 100% on last year. Cleaner, tidier, lovely flower beds, the shower block has had a facelift and has shower curtains that don't stick to you.. hurrah. The fresh herbs available to cut and use are an especially nice touch. Keep up the good work and we'll see you next season.

I agree with everything said by previous reviewer mr johnson with regard to the poor drainage on site, only half the site was useable for the 5 days we were there and potential campers turned away. Steve & Sheree were very friendly and helpfull the site is well maintained with nice personal touches such as growing herb pots and hanging baskets.Did both the walks avalable from reception. A 45 minute walk down peacefull country lanes to Aberlour an attractive highland town. Can also walk on along the Spey to Craigellachie stopping at the Highlander inn and crossing the interesting Telford bridge. Would definatly visit again.

A very warm welcome received from Sheree and Steve upon arrival, nothing was a problem, and were both very helpful and pleasant at all times. The site was lovely and clean and tidy. We were apprehensive about our holiday this year with 4 young children, but this site was a rare and lucky find as it was very safe and secure for our two eldest to wander around at their own leisure. We will definitely consider revisiting next year. Very quiet site, which suited us perfectly, however the town of Elgin is within easy reach.

We had a fantastic time at the site. Sheree and Steve were more than accomodating and friendly!!! Very clean, peaceful site. We were camping for the first time with 2 young girls and after enjoying the site so much would recommend to friends and would go back ourself's for another visit. In a great location for lots of day trips out. Lovely little personal touches such as a herb pot to help your self to, recipe's for summer cooking and pictures up on the walls in the toilets. Our girls were also give a goody bag on arrival!! Fabulous site and would go back next week :-)

Very friendly welcome from Sheree and Steve, not at all phased out that we have 5 dogs, Sheree gave us doggy treat bags which I thought was a lovely welcoming touch (dogs thought so too). Steve showed us around to choose our pitch and did not hurry or hassle us to pick he was very relaxed and when he left us to get set up wished us a lovely holiday. We were made to feel extremely welcome indeed. The site was immaculate with lovely flowers all around the toilet block which was immaculately cleaned every day.
The grass pitch we were on was very spacious and you didnt feel like you were crammed in at all.Even though it was a bit busier at the weekend the site was never noisy or dirty and still didnt feel crowded. Steve always waved and said hello whenever he passed and both he and Sheree seemed to take a great pride in the site and maintaining its standards, they really do enjoy their jobs and I felt this makes a huge difference in how they make holiday makers feel. I would highly reccomend the site especially if you have dogs as on a couple of occasions on other sites (not C&C)we have not been made to feel as welcome.
Would reccomend a visit to the Cooperage and a couple of distilleries and most definitely a walk up Ben Rhinnes. Couldnt praise the site wardens enough, thankyou.

Spent four days at this site and what a transformation from the last time we were here. Sheree and Steve the new managers have certainly been working ever so hard. They are two of the most pleasant friendly people and dedicated to the job they are doing . Even my two grandsons who were with us remarked at the difference from the last time they were here. so that must say something when even children notice all the nice flowers etc. that are around them. Congratulations to you both and it won't be long till we are here again

Great to see the site being cared for again. Sheree and Steve have done a great job in such a short time there. Flowers were beautiful and the 'help yourself to herbs' was an excellent idea. Everybody that goes to Speyside will get a great welcome and be well looked after.

just back from a short break at this site, this was our first time away with a caravan having just changed from a motorhome so was a bit apprehensive about reversing and positioning the caravan, however after telling Sheree at checkin she told Steve who helped us and went through the basics with us, Steve also went through the settings of our heating/hotwater system which seemed a bit complicated but after the 'tuturial' was no problem. The site is very clean and tidy with flower planters and also a help yourself herb planter (not seen that before) toilets/showers were immaculate too. This site is very well placed for walking the Spey Way and visiting local distilleries. We look forward to returning soon and would like to say thank you to the new managers Sheree & Steve who were very friendly and helpful.

Just returned from two weeks camping at speyside (craigellechie) what a great site. Well maintained and well looked after by Steve and Sheree. Even although the weather to begin with was dreadful and warm welcome we received from the site managers more than made up for it. We loved it so much we will be bringing our caravan the next time to store it.

We took our Motorhome to this site and were greeted by very friendly and helpful managers. On discovering this was our first outing Steve was very attentive to make sure we knew what we were doing and, when finding our water hose was too short, lent us his to fill the tank. Site is very clean and hard standings are an excellent size. Toilets/showers and dishwashing area also very clean with plenty of hot water. We hope to return later in the year to see what further improvements have been made, although we could find no faults.

We decided at the last minute to go away for the Easter weekend, and looked for a site within 2 hrs drive. I phoned the site direct to see if there were any pitches available and was answered by Steve who gave me detailed info about the site, where and how to get there. On arrival we had a very friendly cheery welcome from Sherrie, and shown several pitches which to choose from. The site is a great, not too large, south facing, looking onto the hills and Craigellachie - the home of Walkers Famous Shortbread, and quite a few excellent distilleries (hic). The site being south facing is a great sun trap. You can walk into Aberlour about 4 mls. Steve & Sherrie although fairly new to the site have put in boundless work since arriving and the facilities are very good with plenty of hot water in the shower block etc. The toilets are kept very clean, as is the whole site. Both wardens are very approachable
very cheery, and welcome you like long lost friends. This is a site we will use again & again. Thanks for a good relaxing weekend.

A lovely site convenienty placed between the foothhills of the Cairngorms and the fabulous Moray coast and right in the middle of the Speyside whisky trail (Whisky festival was on when we were there. There's good walking and cycling locally, with the option of water sports on the Spey or on the coast. The Archiestown hotel just up the road is a gourmet's paradise, and there are plenty of other places to eat out in Aberlour and Craigallachie, a few miles away, if you want a break from cooking. We received a very warm welcome from Steve and Sherrie - there was no problem pitching our small tent after the official last pitching time of 8pm. Until we spoke to them the next day we would never have known that the site was recovering from a recent spell of hard times when all was not well. Everything was spotless and looked very well cared for - a lovely touch was a pot of "help youself herbs" that appeared on day 2. There are views to the surrounding countryside, including Ben Rhinnes, and small trees aruond and within the site which breaks up the uniform level grass a bit. The only niggle we had was the road next to the site - it was quite noisy from before 6.30 am and at night, with distillery and agricultural traffic, though it quitened down during the day - and if the wind's in the right direction, you can hear a distant rumble from the main road on the other side of the Spey. You probably wouldn't be aware of any traffic noise if you were in a caravan or mobile home, though - and otherwise, the site was very quiet, even when busy on the May holiday Friday and Saturday nights.

Their are new wardens that were really working very hard to improve the site and even during our two stays (One at the start and one at the end of our holiday)they made very noticable improvements.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and although new to the area went out of their way to make your stay a success.
The site is in a beautiful part of the world and a good base for wandering.
We will certainly return again.

New highly motivated managers at this Site are already making a huge difference to it's appearance. Previously it was a "little tired" with hardstandings being overgrown and the washroom looking a bit sad. With continued effort by the managers, this site will become a real "gem" in the near future. Would not hesitate to recommend a few days away at this site in this glorious area.
We will be back later in the season to see how things are going.

Very pleasant site. I believe the manager is new, and improving the standards (according to a long-termer I spoke to) - an added bonus was that they had a couple of goodie bags made up on arrival for our kids which was great - the colouring in kept them happy while we put the awning up. Toilets very clean, childrens playpark was good. Only downside was that the grass was VERY boggy, but hey it was the north of Scotland in early April. Drainage on site was not great. However, plenty of hard standing, so it can be avoided. We will probably return at some point, but more likely in the summer time when the ground is probably a bit drier.
Good location for exploring distilleries, walks, local towns. Quiet neck of the woods.

This has the potential to be a very good site as it is well positioned in Speyside.
However We have been on this site few times this year and were disappointed with the cleanliness of the toilets. The site also requires the drainage system updated as there was a lot of rain which made the ground very very soft and the toilets flooded during the high rain periods.
There was a dog walk which was unkept and had not been maintained during the year.So dogs were being walked on the site and fouling could be seen.
The grass sites were very untidy and not mown regularly.
The toilets and shower cubicles were locked regularly to reduce the number available for use to reduce the amount of cleaning that was not done to a god standard anyway.
We feel the club is lettng itself down by not keeping its standards and doing some investment on this site

I've had a seasonal pitch at speyside for the last 3 years. In that time the site has went downhill ie:- maintenance, cleanliness, etc. This site has a washing machine that runs on a hot fill, showers closed because of lack of water pressure, domestic input into the site- not commercial. People queuing for showers because of this. There is poor drainage on the site, very wet when raining, perimeter road needs looked at, holes everywhere. Time a basic amount of money was spent on this site to bring it up to reasonable spec.

Just back from 3 day stay in Craigellachie, found this site very pleasing.
Managers Gordon and Margret very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much bother for them, even gave us a loan of electric plug-in, as ours was too small for the site we asked for.
All in all would definately recommend this site to others and if you want peaceful holiday and beutiful surroundings and friendly managers, Craigellachieis for you.
