For a family with kids (14-16yrs old), we found it a very nice place to stay. Upon arrival the very friendly staff gave us on this generally exposed site a good sheltered pitch against the western wind (as we travel by tent) were we stayed for approx 2 weeks.
We particularly liked this site/area for the various activities that you can employ in the direct neighbourhood;
For instance our daughters went on their bikes to the Sennen Cove surf school. For biking/hiking; We went of on our bikes to visit the countryside and small towns in the area, like Mousehole.
Local attractions: The coastline: surfing in front of it, or hiking on top of it. Mousehole during low tide.
The Minack Theatre; Seeing dolphins during a theatre show!
In short: a place to return to, at least that is what we have planned for this coming season.

The sites book warns that T.V. reception may be difficult. not so any more. The digital signal from the St.Just transmitter which can be seen from the site is very good. However your aerial needs to be VERTICAL to get all the channels.

We were very impressed with this site at Sennen. The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful, they even loaned and put up a windbreak for us to help with outdoor cooking. We have 2 boys, age 5 & 7, they enjoyed playing on the climbing frames & slide & made lots of friends. The Toilets & showers we immaculate. We would definitely go back next year.

The welcome and the help by team were first class and the facilities were good, although in my opinion could do with more showers/toilets. There are only currently 3 showers for men and 3 for women and three cubicles in the toilets with 3 urinals. carefully select your shower time or you could be waiting! Having said that, they are immaculately clean.
Washing up was also limited with 2 sinks only.
The site itself is in a lovely area, loads to see and do all round the area.
Our little boy is 3 years old and our pitch was next to the play area, this was okay but during the evening, particularly between 8 and 10 is extremely noisy, this obviously meant our little one was kept awake with the noise. There was also alot of football being played around the play area (right next to our tent) and the football kept going under our car etc. Not brilliant.
The shop is very small and limited, so best to get anything you need from St Just.
All in all, it is a lovely clean site but probably not one I would return to.

Site wardens are friendly and helpful. The site location is ok but need to travel for entertainment it is to far for young children to walk. Facilities could do with updating only three showers, had to wait every time.
All together we have had a peaceful five days.

We picked this site to be a central location for leaving our motorhome and taking buses to various locations. The bus schedule in May wasn't very helpful but we made the best of it. In fact, riding the buses through some of those tight lanes were the highlight of the stay. The site itself is an open field. The wifi was weak. But it was clean and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

We booked this site for its location but should have researched it more as its a ten minute drive to Sennen Cove! The managers are friendly and helpful. The site is lovely and in a nice area. The general facilities are in desperate need of being updraded, there are only 3 washing up sinks in a small room where if there were 3 people in there it would be very cramped. There was only 3 female and 3 male showers and for a site of this size that is terrible its been a long while since I had to queue but I had to here and it was early in the morning as well. The site has a nice dog walking area and there are a few walks in the local area and the beach is a long walk away and not very well sign posted. The site has a fish and chip van that visits and to be honest the chips are dry and not that nice! Overall a shame that the site did not not live up to the usual CCC standards!

This site is ideally located for access to the far west of the Cornish peninsular with excellent clifftop walks and beaches: Sennen, with it's beach front facilities, Gwenver and Porthcurno (also Telegraph Museum and the Minack, cliff top theatre) , to name but a few.
Along the north coast, a pretty but very narrow, windy-road takes you through St. Just and Pendeen, with excellent walks to be had around the old mine workings near to Botallack and the Geevor Mine, for those with an interest in this part of Cornwall's industrial past.
Further afield, you travel on via Zennor on to the pretty, but very busy, fishing port of St Ives with its Tate Gallery of modern art.
The south coast is equally beautiful, with many hidden little fishing coves to visit, including Penberth, Mousehole and Newlyn, with its fish festival at the end of August.
The only negatives of the site are that it can be very exposed at times, so tents and awnings need to be in a good state of repair and capable of being very well anchored down. Toilets and shower facilities are barely adequate at the peak times of year, but are scrupulously cleaned every day by the site staff. This is particularly important as, being a mostly grassed site, periods of prolonged rain do lead to roadways becoming extremely muddy!
If you choose to visit, I hope that you enjoy it as much as my family do but ... please, please, remember to look after this little 'gem' and keep it as tranquil as it should be for all, so that people's holidays are full of the peace and relaxation that they should be.

This site is in a stunning location with panoramic coastal views. This does have a downside if you're in a tent as you need pretty hefty guy ropes and lots of pegs. I would imagine its the same with awnings. The site is not actually in Sennen Cove itself but on the clifftop a couple of miles further north. There are beautiful walks down to the sea but a little too far if you have youngsters and all the trappings for a day on the beach, and a steep hike back up. I would describe the facilities here as basic - very clean but the shower area could really do with updating. The site is, to be honest, just a field - some landscaping would provide protection and enhance the overall appearance. There is a small play area for young children. Highly recommend the open top bus which at £7 for adults can be used all day for a circular loop to St Ives, Penzance and Lands End.

Spent 3 weeks there and quite quiet this time of year. 19 Dutch tourers came in, had a nice coffee with them.
I must mention WIFI does not work very well unless you are quite near the office. Aircraft(small engine planes) noise from airport not too bad but first one off is around 7.30am. Use car park the far end of Sennen as it is cheaper. Lands End parking costs £3 but photos at sign are not free.

Very friendly and helpful staff, facilities were always very clean. The area where this site is situated is lovely and the views of the countryside are fantastic. The downside is very open to the weather and the electricity constantly cut out every evening, we were told once we arrived they have issues with the electric, we would of preferred to have known before we had booked.

When we arrived, we were welcomed with a friendly smiling member of the team and his puppy dog!
The location of site was smashing, stayed on a hardstanding pitch, park area located in the middle of the site for children.
views nice with farm close by.
We decided to take a walk off site, the staff member and his puppy dog came to ask if we fancied walking to the beach - brilliant idea! he gave instructions to walk past the farm over a couple of fields (weather dry and sunny). Climb over a few stiles on the way.
Down a country road to a narrow and steep steps down to a cove.
Well worth the walk to visit the beach.
The walk down the steep single steps (you have to be kind and stop to let people pass) would be for suitable for most age ranges, not for prams/push chairs. We had to guide our toddler down slowly. Wonderful views to absorb on the way up & down.
we had a warm greeting with the gentleman and his puppy again when we returned (we are doggy people)! asked if we enjoyed are afternoon down the beach - which we did.
He advised us of the chippy van in the evening (Thursdays 2010). so, we spoilt ourselves with a chip meal.
we only went for one nite, due to us booking a number of camping and caravan sites on the internet at last minute, we wanted to explore various available sites rather than stay longer with less sites visited.
Next time we shall stay more than one nite.

the staff were helpful and the site was clean and well kept but the site is very exposed in bad weather and the electric supply is dreadful. every nite at 9pm the power failed .i know this is not the fault of the site but there is no mention of this problem when booking or at arival.we have been members for years and this is the only site we have been disapointed with.

Amazing site, was the highpoint of last years holiday. Surfing in Sennen and wonderfull walks around lands end.
A bus from the site gate to the beach and the most helpfull staff i have yet to experience.
Facilities are all you could need without the excesses of some corprate sites and were always spotless. My only regret last year was leaving after only 3 days as the site was part of a tour we did of the south coast.
We are returning for a proper break this year which is a first for us, with friends.

Fantastic location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Able to order fresh bread and papers daily from them.
Site can be very windy as it was when we stayed in Aug 2010 but we still had a fantastic holiday.

What a fantastic site! The position is beautiful, and the facilities are spotless! However, the real bonus is the staff. From the moment we arrived, they were very friendly and helpful, taking time and trouble to ensure that we were happy with the pitch and had everything we needed. We had some problems with our campervan, and again, nothing was too much trouble to ensure our holiday carried on smoothly. I would thoroughly recommend this site - we will definitely be coming back!
