lovely relaxing site, nice views from the pitch we had. just wish it was open all year....
You need a car to get to anything unless you are definitely into walking.

We have been to this site a couple of times for weekend breaks as its quite local, but as we liked it so much stayed for a week in August as a base for our holiday. Very friendly helpful staff, lovely clean site in a nice peaceful location. Definately worth a visit if you have your own facilities.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay from Ebury Hill. The site is in a lovely peaceful and secluded area which we like, plenty of walks through the fields or woodlands which is good for the pooches! The wardens were friendly and welcoming especially after a very long drive to get there. With a motorhome we had no problems with the lack of facilities as we have our own and tend to find these sites quieter.
The only negatives we found was the fact the site has a possible 100 pitches which are not defined in any way, you just pitch up where you are put which can be a bit daunting but we were not too hemmed in.
Also there are the usual fenced off areas where you have waste water disposal and drinking water etc but no bins...the only bins are outside reception which we found dissapointing as all other sites we have visited have had bins dotted around the site. As there are no facilities to maintain it would not take up much time to pop around the site and empty the bins once a day.
If you want a quiet site it is worth a visit.

we stayed at this lovely site over bank holiday weekend, and thought it might be a bit over crowded with children but was pleasantly surpised how quiet it was, in beautifull countryside with stunning views, the warden pitch you up amongst the trees, the local pub is a long treck about 2 miles, and theres no quick way,(worth the trip tho the food is great) so really more suitable for caravans as you have a mode of transport, the bus stop is opposite the pub so no easy access to shrewsbury , if your into walking the shropshire way is right on the door step but you need an o s map the site does not have any local maps for walking.the dog walk is great, the wardens freindly & helpfull, will definately go again, but hopefully with caravan next time.

I'm just adding a short comment to say that this site does not accept tent backpackers at all. It has no toilet facilities and this prevents those running it from accepting tents under any circumstances. I found this out to my cost recently, though the staff were very helpful in recommending alternative sites.

The only real draw back is the lack of shower facilities, Found the staff more than helpful, even rang us when we became over due to car technical problems, this was reassuring. there was local Pubs near by and locals were friendly and helpful also. Kids loved it as it was a safe area for them to have adventures in.

What a treat.. we stayed here for only 2 nights, and we originally booked just for me and hubby, but decided at last minute to take our grandsons, when checking in at reception the staff were friendly and helpful, and offerred us a different pitch right by the play area, this was brilliant and the kids had a great time and we were able to watch them play safely. The only negative would be that the fishing lake is so full of plant life and weeds that it is almost un- fishable. The site is peaceful and very scenic and we would definately stay again.

My wife and I had a most enjoyable and relaxing 2 week stay. We found the site easy to get to and the surroung areas in Shropshire offered much to be enjoyed for all ages.
This was our first outing to a site where you required your own toilet facilities but it most certainly, wont be our last.
Our thanks to all at Ebury Hill and to th C&CC for offering such good value for money.

We recently spent ten days at this site after visiting for the first time three years ago. Friendly welcome, very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and we enjoyed a much needed break away. Shrewsbury is not far and the park and ride means no car parking problems. The local pub serves excellent food in huge portions so my husband was very happy and the 24 hour Tesco is very useful with Lidl's next door. We had good weather too which helps. There is plenty to do in the area for more active visitors who want to explore the local sights. We visited the Acton Scott farm featured in the BBC series Victorian Farm and had a fascinating day

It was out of school holidays so the site was mostly retired couples and dogs. Lovely view from the top field. Facilities are limited but all modern units have toilets/showers anyway these days so not having a shower block really didn't make a difference. Glad we didn't bother to take fishing rods- too much weed to make it enjoyable. Only complaint would be units leaving site after midday - this cut down the choice of available sites for arriving members, created traffic jams in the narrow site arrivals area and stopped the wardens having time to mow the pitches.

i have been going to ebury for 8yrs now it is a lovley site, the only disappointing thing about it is that the club advertise the site with fishing at £6 plus per day.over the years i have met people who have come to the site for fishing and have walkled away in dismay at the state of the pond. Please go to ebury for a nice quiet rest, but not for the fishing

Ebury Hill is a wonderful, very peaceful and picturesque site. Well maintained by the hard working and very pleasant wardens who are a credit to the club. Out in the countryside but only a few mins drive from Shrewsbury and local shops/supermarkets. On site you have a great dog walk in the woods, a small playground for the kids, fishing and the usual site shop. Local pub (Dog in the lane) serves pub grub too! Give it a go!

over the easter weekend we stayed at the c&cc edbury hill in shrewsbury.
what a fabulous site,it has no facilities so you need to use your own,it has water and hookup and cdu,a small park for the children and the usual c&cc reception/shop.
chocks may be needed on a few of the grass pitches and there are several dog walks of various lengths.there is a sea of bluebells everywhere you look at the moment, the site is especially well kept and the wardens are extremely helpful.
we stayed only for 3 nights and felt instantly relaxed.this site has now replaced our favourite blackmore at hanley swan.

We have stayed at Ebury Hill a few times and have always found it nice and quite even when it has been very full, the staff are very helpful and pleasant. We take the grandchildren and they really enjoy the freedon it offers, the only down side for the children is that the play park get very dirty and slippy from the trees. But it still a great break. We will be going back again this year.
