Chose this site due to the other comments and found them to be mostly true, positive. We like to visit National Trust properties so found this very handy for the locations that we had chosen to visit. We will be returning again sometime in the future

stayed several times over the year. part due to rained off holiday sites. Keith and Maggie are great with regulars and new campers to the site. earlier comments say everything good about the site and welcome. Also meet up twice a year with the work party. natter and work. natter and work. makes any clean up and maintenance work enjoyable. And we are ALL senior citizens

We have loved this place and have stayed many times. Last stay got put by a retired couple in motor home. They were long time campers and stayed almost all season, he insisted my grandaughter moved well away from his unit while picking daisy's. 3 year old. His attitude ruined our stay and we refused to go again the rest of last year. I do hope the club doesn't allow it to turn into a retirement park for children intollerant campers. I will give it another go but if he is there again this year with his grumpy attitude then it willl be our last visit. What a crying shame 1 person can ruin a good thing. Staff are great so is the park. Perhap's a note on the site info should include children welcome so be warned.

Quite sad that this was our last visit to lovely Ebury this year :( Had a relaxing time as always, kids enjoyed the park, some great walks across the fields and woods. I'm sure we've said this before but we love Ebury and can't wait for it to reopen for next season. Only wish it was open all year :)

We have just returned from a 17 night stay at this site, and would have stopped longer if we had the time. The site is split into 2 parts,on the lower level in the old quarry, and above a larger site which covers a large area.We stayed on the lower level, which was very quiet ,and only holds about 20 units. It is ideal for travelling into Wales, and central for viewing numerous National Trust properties It is also ideal for visiting Ironbridge..The site is immaculate, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.I will be returning. You do get helicopters flying over from the local R.A.F. base, but they are not intrusive. If you like being in the country and relaxing this is the site to choose. We will definately be returning. The lack of a toilet block is no hardship if you are prepared to use your own facilities.

Just spent a week at this site and it was the most peacefull week ever. Realy back to nature, with many types of birds, quite a few squirrels, badgers (at night), sheep and some good walks for you and your dogs. Being faily new to members we didn't realise, or didn't bother to read the handbook properly, the savings to be had. The tempory site wardens saved us almost £40 on our weeks stay. Fantastic, we will definitely be staying here again, and again

Keith and Maggie booked us into the site on arrival, and Keith escorted us throughout all three levels of the site ensuring we were pitched at the most pleasing to ourselves. Our pitch beside the flooded 17century quarry was most picturesque and we watched squirrel, rabbits and birds enjoy their terrain. The nearby town of Shrewsbury is an enjoyable experience and is only a few miles away. We used the Park & Ride which is very handy and inexpensive. The nearby National Trust Property at Attingham Park is a fascinating visit. All told, we enjoyed our short stay at this site and hope to visit again.
Many thanks.

This was our 3rd visit this year, we all really love it here. As adults we find it peaceful, relaxing and beautiful whereas the children just love getting back to nature playing in the woods and making friends on the park. Stunning views from some areas of the site, we walked down to see an amazing moon and heard an owl in the distance. Staff always friendly and helpful, it's an excellent site for a quiet break.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ebury Hill and will be returning again.Just one thing I would like to mention as we had our dog with us we went to the Dog in the Lane pub and were most disappointed as we were told we could only sit in one corner of the bar which was next to the Gents toilets, and directly by the dart board. As our meal arrived so did the Darts team not good.So if you have a dog do not go to this pub.Ebury Hill is one of the best sites we have visited a real credit to the wardens.

We had a great welcome from the wardens and were sited in a good spot, the site is clean and well looked after, we felt that an extra elsan disposal point near the middle of the site would be welcome also that bins could be placed near the water points instead of walking to the reception area , other wise a very nice site......

Just returned from Ebury, what a beautiful place, the best site we have visited so far. We had kids with us and we all enjoyed it very much. Staff were extremely helpful from the phone booking to settling us in. When we asked if we could move pitch as we spotted a lovely one with a nice view it was no problem. Great woods for the kids and dog to explore, lovely walks and just so peaceful. Kids loved watching the rabbits in the evening and playing on the park. The site is spotlessly clean, no facilities but we had our own so didn't make any difference to us infact we felt this probably helped to make it the serene, tranquil site it was as everyone was self contained. We will definatley be returning.

Had this site recommended to us by a fellow camper when we said we were going to Shrewsbury, and we can't thank him enough. Have just returned from a weeks stay at Ebury Hill and can't wait to visit again. All the previous comments very aptly cover the friendly staff, facilities (or lack of) etc. As members of English Heritage we visited numerous places of interest and still have loads more to see. Fantastic site.

one of the best 'own facillities ' sites I have visited
Roads on site concrete and therefore no problem with heavy motorhome, electric good , no trip outs,
views from most pitches and those in the'quarry' overlook the lake and ciff face, stunning!
bluebells everywhere and the whole place very well run by excellent managers
nearest shops at park and ride but excellent,Tesco, Lidl etc.
Plenty of interesting 'sights' to see in the area
What more could one ask?
fees not bad either!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay from Ebury Hill. The site is in a lovely peaceful and secluded area which we like, plenty of walks through the fields or woodlands which is good for the pooches! The wardens were friendly and welcoming especially after a very long drive to get there. With a motorhome we had no problems with the lack of facilities as we have our own and tend to find these sites quieter.
The only negatives we found was the fact the site has a possible 100 pitches which are not defined in any way, you just pitch up where you are put which can be a bit daunting but we were not too hemmed in.
Also there are the usual fenced off areas where you have waste water disposal and drinking water etc but no bins...the only bins are outside reception which we found dissapointing as all other sites we have visited have had bins dotted around the site. As there are no facilities to maintain it would not take up much time to pop around the site and empty the bins once a day.
If you want a quiet site it is worth a visit.

we stayed at this lovely site over bank holiday weekend, and thought it might be a bit over crowded with children but was pleasantly surpised how quiet it was, in beautifull countryside with stunning views, the warden pitch you up amongst the trees, the local pub is a long treck about 2 miles, and theres no quick way,(worth the trip tho the food is great) so really more suitable for caravans as you have a mode of transport, the bus stop is opposite the pub so no easy access to shrewsbury , if your into walking the shropshire way is right on the door step but you need an o s map the site does not have any local maps for walking.the dog walk is great, the wardens freindly & helpfull, will definately go again, but hopefully with caravan next time.

I'm just adding a short comment to say that this site does not accept tent backpackers at all. It has no toilet facilities and this prevents those running it from accepting tents under any circumstances. I found this out to my cost recently, though the staff were very helpful in recommending alternative sites.

What a treat.. we stayed here for only 2 nights, and we originally booked just for me and hubby, but decided at last minute to take our grandsons, when checking in at reception the staff were friendly and helpful, and offerred us a different pitch right by the play area, this was brilliant and the kids had a great time and we were able to watch them play safely. The only negative would be that the fishing lake is so full of plant life and weeds that it is almost un- fishable. The site is peaceful and very scenic and we would definately stay again.

We recently spent ten days at this site after visiting for the first time three years ago. Friendly welcome, very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and we enjoyed a much needed break away. Shrewsbury is not far and the park and ride means no car parking problems. The local pub serves excellent food in huge portions so my husband was very happy and the 24 hour Tesco is very useful with Lidl's next door. We had good weather too which helps. There is plenty to do in the area for more active visitors who want to explore the local sights. We visited the Acton Scott farm featured in the BBC series Victorian Farm and had a fascinating day

It was out of school holidays so the site was mostly retired couples and dogs. Lovely view from the top field. Facilities are limited but all modern units have toilets/showers anyway these days so not having a shower block really didn't make a difference. Glad we didn't bother to take fishing rods- too much weed to make it enjoyable. Only complaint would be units leaving site after midday - this cut down the choice of available sites for arriving members, created traffic jams in the narrow site arrivals area and stopped the wardens having time to mow the pitches.

what a fabulous site,it has no facilities so you need to use your own,it has water and hookup and cdu,a small park for the children and the usual c&cc reception/shop.
chocks may be needed on a few of the grass pitches and there are several dog walks of various lengths.there is a sea of bluebells everywhere you look at the moment, the site is especially well kept and the wardens are extremely helpful.
we stayed only for 3 nights and felt instantly relaxed.this site has now replaced our favourite blackmore at hanley swan.
