The sites wardens were very helpful, friendly and were more than willing to give advice and help out in whatever way they could. however, i feel that the site was a little primitive, the facilities were ok and the ground had a slight slope. I was charged the same sum for a tent, as i would have been had i had a caravan and a proper pitch with hardstanding (i had a sloping grass pitch)
There were 2 showers and 2 toilets. the toilets were very cramped alongside a shower and i wasnt impressed having to pay 20 pence per 3 minutes of shower use. The site is situated right next to sway train station but they dont mention this when you book, they refer instead, to the post office opposite regarding directions. I wouldnt say the trains are VERY noisy but i will say they can disturb your sleep and they would be a nightmare if you are a light sleeper. overall the site is "ok" but i'm not sure i would re visit when there are so many alternative cs sites.
the reason i stayed there was alot of the other sites refused me because i didnt have a toilet with me and they didnt have toilets on their site. in future i think i would take a porta potti and try a different site.

What a little gem of a site.
we had peaceful break there last week.
Ideal for families whose offspring do not need technology to amuse themselves.(Hard to find that nowadays)
Site welcome was good
Very handy for the centre of the New Forest and only a short drive to the coast.
We shall return another time

Nice site some confusion over pitch allocation given one number by phone put on another on arrival.
Felt slightly cramped as the camper on the next pitch decided to pitch his awning right in front of mine 6 meter rule did not apply to him pitches could be slightly bigger i feel apart from that nice little sight all clean and very tidy facilities where some of the best we have seen at cs sites

We didn't see the owners at all. When you arrive you look on a board to see where you pitch. There were 2 showers both old and not very clean with inconsistant temprature. Stables were next door to the toilets and sometimes it sounded as if the horse was going to kick straight through the wall. You must have 20p for 3 min shower. 2 washing up areas 1 of which was out of order. There was a train track just across the road so the site wasn't so peacefull. Access to site was very narrow and difficult, I don't know how people with caravans managed. I could not recommend this site.

Disappointed campers! Railway runs along site & trains start passing at 5am! Toilets & showers very dirty & smelly, needs urgently updating & someone to at least clean them!! Although a dirty bucket & mop is left outside block [presume this is for the paying campers to do the cleaning!] We are shocked this site is part of the camping & caravanning club... WILL NOT RECOMMEND
