Visited the site in May 2012 with our Burstner Motorhome. Made welcome by Michelle in the tea rooms & shown where to go by Eric both friendly & helpful. The onsite tea room is an ideal place to spend time while not exploring the beautiful coastline around Hartland. The site is exactly 3 miles from the main road, Not 6 as stated by someone the lanes are narrow just drive slowly. Clovelly is a great place to visit whilst staying here as are other parts of the Hartland Headland. I hope to return sometime & explore more.
The site is clean, friendly toilet & showers are good & clean.

I stayed here on my own and could not have been made more welcome by Michelle and Eric. The onsite tea room is an ideal place to spend time while not exploring the beautiful coastline around Hartland. The site is exactly 3 miles from the main road near Clovelly, rather than 6 miles of lanes as mentioned in other reviews. I hope to return sometime.

Eric and Michelle were friendly and helpful throughout. Great access to local buses and coastal path. The Lavender tea shop is excellent and I even persuaded Michelle to bake me her honey & lavender cake to take on our walks. Eric and I shared our love of beekeeping too!

Visited Site with large motorhome and towing car on A Frame, told by owner that access was fine as they had large coaches visiting. Access was about 6 miles down mostly single track road, which needed to be negotiated everytime you wanted to leave site. Lovely position, clean showers, would have helped if cut grass was cleared up. Was told pitch fee was £11.00 inc. electric on settlement was charged £14.00 per night inc. elec, as club sites were only charging this at that time of year. Not good value for money
This was excessive, would not visit again

Quiet remote location, picture views but not really sea views as stated in the book, you would have to sit on top of the caravan for that. Toilet and showers clean. Cafe, shop and information on site. Plenty of hard standing pitches. Good electric. Too many caravans for it to be classed as a CS.
Ideal for walkers.
12 miles to nearest town including 6 miles of single track lanes.

very quiet location, good views, lots of green lane walks, fairly close local village with shops, chippy and good local beer. The tea room was popular and for good reason.

Small site, very well kept. Friendly welcome. Spacious shower/toilet block. Rugged North Devon coast is nearby. Hartland is a quiet village with a number of pubs. On-site tea room is worth a visit! The site is quite high with good views of the surrounding country. Our overnight stay was excellent. Recommended for a quiet stay - we will return to this site.

As a wheelchair user this site was really user friendly with shower and loo both lovely and roomy. There is not too much gravel and it is possible to use tarmac most of the time. Great maze of small country lanes wide enough and quiet so easy place for a good wheelchair walk with great views too. A very peaceful site with the only sound being the cows mooing and that was only occasionally.
