Excellent level field on the edge of the Quantock hills (near view) with far reaching views the other way to the Blackdowns. It's just possible to see a smidgen of Exmoor in a third direction. Very quiet and peaceful. A loo and basin have been installed since we first visited and with waste disposal and drinking water this site has everything we could possibly want.
One of the loveliest sites we have stayed on and we keep coming back.
Good walking country and good farm shop nearby. Friendly owner.

Just spent a couple of lovely days on this peaceful site, surrounded by the Quantock and Blackdown Hills.
The site is level and surrounded by farmland and a paddock. The far end has a small orchard and beehives.
The facilities are simple: water, CDP and a little washroom/toilet. Just the way we like it.
Nearby is the West Somerset preserved railway station at Bishops Lydeard, and on the Sunday morning, hearing church bells and the sound of a steam loco working made us feel as if we'd travelled back in time.
We liked it so much, we'll be back.

Just had a lovely, relaxing five day holiday here.Peace and tranquility,so much so that i did'nt want to put the radio on and let the outside world in! We loved watching the rabbits when they came out to feed and play in the evening. The owners, martin and mary, are very helpful and friendly and live up in the village of west bagborough. The postcode and grid ref given both refer to their house and not the site. The correct grid ref is ST.169321.
When towing to the site:follow the A358,taunton-minehead,past bishops lydeard, cedar falls health farm, then look out for the 'Eastcombe' village sign, take the next right turn(blue sign-not suitable for hgv's)continue on this road and follow round to the left at the next junction,go straight across at the crossroads, the site is along this lane on the right-you will see a post and rail fence with the club sign on.There are quite a few passing places along this route(which does'nt carry much traffic)

Very level site with views over to the Blackdown Hills and the Quantocks behind. Plenty of walks all over the Quantocks. Take an OS Explorer map 140 with you. Lots of interesting houses including an arch at Cothelstone said to have been used by Judge Jefferies to hang rebels during the civil war. Excellant farm shop near Bishops Lydeard's steam train station. We received a lovely warm welcome from the site owners Martin & Mary. Well worth a visit if you want to be out of the way but within easy reach of amenities.
