Secluded, friendly, very dogfriendly. Gill and Chris were helpful and friendly, interested without being nosy or overwhelming.
Very eco-friendly too with lots of recycling. Basic toilet and shower facilities but good and clean.
Local meat available at Cenarth petrol station shop, real ale and fabulous food at the nags head, Abercych and almost everything dog is available from Dog Food Dave at Cilgerran and yes, gill, the Emlyn cafe is fantastic value and quite excellent. Our favourite place, especially GSD Freya's, was Poppit Sands, the beach is huge and the place to see and be seen for dogs in the area.Thank you for a wonderful time. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely not hesitate to visit again.

this site is everything their web site claims and more. chris & gill are so welcoming we feel relaxed from the moment we get there till we leave. the produce from the market garden is excellent which gill picked fresh every morning for us. the biggest plus point of all is that they truly welcome our dogs and not just tolerate them, shame thare are not more sites like this. cant wait to go back

WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS SITE A FEW TIMES NOW. THE OWNERS GILL AND CHRIS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND GIVE YOU ALL THE HELP AND ADVICE THEY CAN. THERE ARE FRESH EGGS AND VEGETABLES. GILL WILL ALSO GET YOU A DAILY PAPER. THEY ARE VERY DOG FRIENDLY AND OUR DOG LOVES GOING THERE. WHILE WE WERE THERE OUR AWNING BROKE AND CHRIS MADE US SOME STRONGER BRACKETS SO WE COULD CONTINUE USING IT. OUR DOG WAS TAKEN ILL AND GILL TOOK US TO THE VETS AND KEPT ASKING IF THE DOG WAS OKAY. I WOULD SAY THAT THIS SITE IS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER VISITED IN ALL OUR CAMPING DAYS. NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THEM. WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK. IN OUR OPINION IT SHOULD HAVE TEN STARS.

After hearing much about this great camp site from friends, we decided to book in for a long weekend. On arrival we were greeted by the owners, Gill & Chris, who couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. The site is in a beautiful, quiet location and well positioned to visit many of the local beauty spots, such as Mwnt, where dolphins can be seen, swimming in the bay. Our children had the best time petting the owners dogs, helping Gill collecting freshly laid eggs and generally enjoying the outdoor life, so much so that we have already booked to go back in June and this time are hoping to glimpse the dolphins. We would highly recommend a stay at Cwrt Hen to anyone.

Location,location,location 10 to 20mins from some of the most breathtaking coast line in the world .we've been to an enormous amount of sites over the years but nothing compares to cwrt hen.chris &gil could not have been more friendly,warm and very entertaining and oooooh the food, all grown on site it's what food use to taste like.a little pice of paradise in west Wales .

We are so happy we found Crwt Hen site last year! Chris & Gill make a great hosting couple, the facilities on site are super clean. The location is amazing,They provide fresh eggs and garden produce.We will return again & again.

Having stayed often at different times of the year we have found it is most beneficial to our wellbeing.It is exceedingly peaceful with easy access to the countryside and coast. All the neccessary facilities are there plus farm produce and eggs. Chris and Gill are very friendly and really helpfull. We have booked in for 3 weeks next month and are looking foward to it. Once I was not well and Chris took me to the doctors.

We first camped at this site on recommendation of friends and were immediately totally won over by not only the beautiful location and traquility but the incredibly warm welcome from the site owners Gill & Chris. You are treated like one of their family from the minute you arrive.
We have been back many times over the past couple of years now as caravan owners. The site doesn't have all the flashy failities of a club house or playpark, but that's exactly why we like it! Kids have a brill time, seeing the chicken's/ducks etc, playing games in the open space. Great location for Aberporth beach, Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn. Overall if your looking for a quiet, dog-friendly, welcoming atmostphere, which is incredibly good value you can't go wrong with Cwrt Hen.

The couple who own Cwrt Hen, Chris & Gill, could not be more accommodating, they were there to greet us with a very warm smile and and offer of a cup of tea or coffee before we started to pitch. We are the owners of 4 Shih Tzu's and the owners were very happy to have them on site, our dogs got on famously with their own very friendly dogs. The facilities are adequate with 2 toliets and showers and a constant supply of hot water. The site is extreamly peacfull and is a haven if you wish to get away from it all for a few days but it is also close enough to the busy towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn as well as only 4 miles from the very good beach at Aberporth. All in all a great place to stay. I would highly recomend this site to anyone and I hope that many campers/caravaners/motorhomers enjoy the hospitality that Chris & Gill have to offer.

A beautiful site in a great location, close to the coast and The Preseli hills but in a tranquil spot which is a wildlife haven. The facilities are basic but more than adequate and are always spotlessly clean and the site is reasonably priced without any hidden extras. But the best thing about this site is the welcome - Chris and Gill are the perfect hosts - nothing is too much trouble. They deliver fresh eggs from their own hens and home-grown vegetables to your awning on request and even offer to bring you the Sunday papers! They deserve far more than 5 stars! My partner Phill and I and our 4 Shih Tzu's have had a somewhat frosty reception at some sites in the past - not so here - this is also one of the most dog friendly sites we have aver been to. Can't wait to go there again!

Lovely peaceful location approximatetely 5 miles from coast. As visitors, I was surprised we were able to book!
Small open facilities block with two semi-enclosed lavatories next to washing-up sink and hand basin might be difficult when campsite busy. Fine if you have a caravan with all facilities. The block could do with a more thorough clean every day.
Highly recommended to wear footware at all times.
Make sure prices and booking details are confirmed in writing in advance to avoid confusion on arrival.
