We stayed here last June for the Classic Mini Show at Beaulieu Motor Museum.
Lovely site with good facilities and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the New Forest. You'll be within 5 minutes walk of Ashurst Village which has all your needs, groceries, takeaways, pubs and more.
The people running it in 2012 were very friendly and helpful, they recommended the best places to eat and get supplies and were always cheery when we bumped into them.
Two things to look out for though, we were at the top of the site but some of the pitches flooded ( ours included ) and the dreaded squirrels! They ate anything that isn't put away.
I'm booking again for a week again this year and am sure to have a great time again.
I would certainly recommend this site.
Peter

This is the 7th time we have stayed at Ashurst, either as a couple or with our young family. Once again we had a fabulous time. The children were able to enjoy the field to the left of the campsite and made many new friends. There are excellent cycle routes around the site, most of which are suitable even when towing children. The campsite staff were all friendly and helpful. We visited Lepe Country Park, Hurst Castle and Calshot, all which I would recommend to families. The Happy Cheese had a great food deal and the service was excellent. The only problem we had in 2 weeks was with the rowdy group who stayed 1 night and had no consideration for families already on site. We will be returning next year.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of July 2012. I am a wheelchair user and always have to keep an eye on charging my wheelchair batteries. Although this site does not have mains hookup, they do have a battery charging service, which I used successfully. The disabled facilities are first rate and getting about the site was no problem. There is a great pub restaurant next door to the site which we used each evening for dinner. We had a trouble free stay and would recommend this as a great site for wheelchair users'.
