I found the owners of this site very friendly and helpful,if you need to get away from it all then this is the place to be.with easy access to scarborough and coastal walks.perfect if you have a bike.I would have stayed longer than my three nights if I had found the site sooner.and will definitely go there again.the access road is not narrow like some so its perfect if you have a wide van like mine.the post code put me on the road just short of the site entrance on the right.I would recommend this site to anyone.

Stayed at The Paddock for three long weekend breaks in 2011. Great location within easy cycle of Scarborough or Filey, and great late evening walks along clifftop to Cayton Bay. Have three children 7, 9 and 11.
The Paddock is a paddock. The huge commercial £40+ a night site not 15-minutes walk away has leisure centre with pool charging ~£3 each for outsiders to use their facilities which is fantastic! Very happy to pay The Paddock £15 a night for a tranquil little CS away from the mayhem and pay to use facilities next door when needed!
We like The Paddock but don't expect more than there is. Most of the symbols listed are 'within the mile' and not on the site.

well, we booked up on the Tuesday before we arrived, after haggling the nightly fee from £12 per night plus £5 per night for electric, which we thought a little dear. We aggreed £15 per night with the electric plugged into their garage. The site was very uneven and grass rather on the long side, The waste toilet disposal point didn't flush away but very very slowly drained away which wouldn't have been very nice if someone else was on the site and needed to empty there waste water after with our toilet waste still in the bowel. I know the site is surrounded by farming fields, but within an hour of pitching up, a tractor started to muck spreading in the next field, the smell was horrendous. The website indicated wash basins, toilet, farm shop, and restaurant... not on site but out of the site and 2 driveways up the road. I'm sorry Rebecca, your welcome was very good but our site is very poor and very expensive
