Woods, farms and rolling hills, full of wildlife ranging from deer, badgers, stoats and foxes to bluebells, wild garlic, orchids, swallows and owls, provide the backdrop for this lovely village site, that continues to improve each year. The Weijts family continue to offer the warm welcome traditional at Vinkenhof, with the attractive bar terrace and cosy restaurant adding to the homely feel. Pretty Valkenburg with its Roman catacombs is a must to visit, while Belgium, Germany and Maastricht, are all within easy reach, as are the Dutch hills fringing the atmospheric Ardennes.
