Our Club Site at Slingsby is beautifully situated between the North Yorks Moors National Park and the Howardian Hills. It is within easy reach of York, the coast and many other attractions. It is also a great base for walkers.

What's on?
- The attractive market town of Helmsley is
nearby. Helmsley Walled Garden, which
dates back to 1758, is currently being
restored to its former glory.
- Castle Howard is a magnificent 18th
century house with impressive gardens
and an award-winning farm shop.
- Duncombe Park is home to Lord and Lady
Feversham. Visit the house and explore its
450 acres of parkland.
- The ruins of Rievaulx Abbey are very
peaceful and worth a visit.
- Nunnington Hall – a 17th century manor
house – is on the banks of the River Rye.
It is home to the Carlisle collection of
miniature houses.
- There are two lavender farms in
the area. Wolds Way Lavender
has 12 acres of plants and wildlife.
Yorkshire Lavender includes the largest
specialist Herb Nursery in Yorkshire.
- Cropton Brewery has been brewing ale
since 1613. The New Inn and the brewery
are near Pickering.
- Explore the landscape – from fossils to
farming – at the Ryedale Folk Museum at
Hutton le Hole.
- The Beck Isle Museum of Rural Life has
collections covering the last 200 years
and contains many photographs.
- The city of York is around half-an-hour’s
drive away. The Park and Ride scheme
accepts motorhomes. Here you can see
the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National
Railway Museum and much more.
